Mean Magazine has created a new series of online short films called CineMash, which lets celebrity talent mash up their favorite scenes from classic movies. The first is a recreation of a scene from Sid and Nancy starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and directed by Marc Webb (the director of 500 Days of Summer). Did I mention that Joe plays Nancy and Zooey plays Sid? Watch the clip after the jump, followed by a listing of future Cinemash episodes.

    Also, Zoey in drag reminds me of jared Leto for some reason.

    I am looking so forward to seeing it 3 days before the official release date. Haven't had a chance to see (500) Days of Summer yet, but it certainly has the best chance out of any movie this year to be my favorite of 2009. That's the only advance screening in my state too.

    Sidenote: Does anybody know an appropriate time to show for the screening? How many hours before is safe?
