First Look: Zombieland

zombieland

Sony has premiered four photos from Ruben Fleischer’s zombie buddy comedy Zombieland on AICN.

Jesse Eisenberg plays Columbus, a teenage who has made a habit of running from what scares him.  Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) doesn’t have fears.  If he did, he’d kick their ever-living ass.  In a world overrun by zombies, these two are perfectly evolved survivors.  But now, they’re about to stare down the most terrifying prospect of all:  each other. The film also stars Emma Stone (Superbad) and Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine).

I had a chance to visit the set of the film while the movie was shooting in Georgia. I wish I could share with you some of my enthusiastic thoughts about the film, but I’m under embargo. The film’s teaser trailer will be attached to Year One. Head on over to AICN to see the photos in larger resolution. Zombieland hits theaters on October 9th 2009.

what's the point of visiting the set then?
  • Firepants
    Can't wait
  • Mila Kunis is in the movie as well
  • mmmmmmm
  • Cool! Really liked Eisenberg in Adventureland!
  • this has a GREAT cast. Very excited... and I still chuckle everytime I think of Woody Harrelson being high on weed and attacking the papparazzi at the airport cos he claimed that zombies were trying to attack him.
  • As I said in the article, we'll be posting a video blog talking about our experience on set in a few weeks
  • Mila Kunis, Amber Heard, and Emma Stone...

    Jizz in my pants.
  • duud
live action left for dead????? haha

cant get enough of zombie movies, regardless the genre i love undead theme, keep en coming!
  • i was just about to write the exact opposite. i'm completely bored by zombie-movies for quite a while now.

... a couple of strangers has to overcome their differences to survive: a hero, a wimp, a tough guy you don't like at first (but who eventually sacrifices himself for the others), a pregnant chick (or a sick guy), a young likeable couple (sooner or later one of them gets bitten, without the others recognizing it) ... bla!

plus: since "shaun of the dead" you definateley need some (selfreferential) humor in it. (nazis help as well.)

my favourite part about zombie-movies: a few months prior to the release of the movie you can spend hours on imdb-message-boards, discussing why 'slow' zombies are better than 'fast' zombies.

    :-)

even the cast of this movie doesn't get me interested. i think i'll rewatch return of the living dead instead.

zombie movies!! i love all of them but i always hope for gems like 28 days later and the beginning scene in 28 weeks later, Dead Set (uk series)

    and of course the classics

anything well made that puts thought into the difficulties of actually surviving/getting away
  • Apparently (as I went over to Netflix to Q this movie), there is another movie titled Zombieland with Brad Dourif!?!

I got a boner the minute I saw the word zombie. Woody killing zombies, huge boner. Does that make me gay? Cause Im cool with that, but I just have to be able to label myself so its easier for others to judge me.
