2009 MTV Movie Awards

There are a lot of Award shows in Hollywood. Some of them are serious presentations, awarding accomplishment and talent: the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes..etc. Other award shows are nothing more than pure spectacle. The MTV Movie Awards falls into the latter category. Every year we post the award winners, and every year we complain about how some tween heartthrob, this year - Zac Efron, beats out some insanely talented actor, this year Robert Downey Jr, for Best Male Performance. Or how Twilight beat out both The Dark Knight and Slumdog Millionaire to win Best Movie.

But truth is, we love to bitch about the MTV Movie Awards, which explains why I’m posting these results. It’s certainly not that we give credence to this list of winners. Any award show which gives out five statues to Twilight can’t be taken seriously. So leave your comments below. Be smart, clever, funny, and biting.

    How the hell did the Pineapple Express fight scene not win? I know the awards were run by glittery teenage girls with absolutely no taste, but come on!     Saying MTV is indicative of the current culture with their "awards" means that America as a whole is filled with nothing but teenaged girls. Essentially, we've reverted back to the year "Titanic" came out. What a joke.

    Not that teenage girls shouldn't have their opinion, nor is it equal...but really, if all things were fair for something like the MTV movie awards, how many guys (of all ages) and girls with sanity/good taste would have voted for Twilight in anything? Whatever, Twilight can have its worthless popcorn statue if Slumdog still gets an Oscar and Dark Knight still gets a box-office record.

I would love for the third movie to involve gay sex between both the lead vampire (insert name here) and the werewolf (insert name here). This would totally draw me in and get my asshole as wet as all the little teen sluts pussies were in the audience. I dont know about you guys but this years movie awards got me so hott and bothered I had to throw on my flip flops, wife beater, & sweats and I maKE a b line to my nearest truck stop so I could hide in the bushes and wait for gay love from behind.     This year, MTV made it a lot more difficult to vote in the awards. You had to sign up to be part of their online community to do it. I'm guessing the Twihards can actually be bothered with that sort of thing, whereas most people aren't.

  • I don't usually watch these award shows as they only result in infuriating me. This year, all of the movie clips they were playing we too tempting to pass-up. As soon as "Twilight" beat "The Dark Knight", "Pineapple Express", and "Hellboy II" for Best Fight I knew there was no room for objectivity in this award show. Sure enough, "Twilight" won in nearly every category it was included. Never underestimate the power of droves of 14-year-old girls.

I can't stand Ashley Tisdale . she's nothing compared to Frieda Pinto. :))

    I think that Twilight deserved those awards, I mean, that movie was AMAZING but the reason some people say that Twilight was not a good movie it's because they HAVE NO TASTE AT ALL. The only thing they like is stupid movies like Pinneaple Express... that movie make you go stupid.
