Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol Movie Poster

Disney has released the official poster for Robert Zemeckis‘ adaptation of A Christmas Carol on Yahoo. The film is being produced by Disney, and like Zemeckis last couple films, was shot completely using performance capture, and will be distributed in 3D. Jim Carrey plays not only Ebenezer Scrooge, but also the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.  Colin Firth plays Fred and Gary Oldman plays Bob Cratchit, Marley and Tiny Tim.   • The design looks cool....but ugh....motion capture, I'm getting so sick of "Zemeckis does another motion capture movie". I think the guy is a really underrated film maker, a lot of his live action stuff is simply amazing. Unfortunately I think he's going to be remembered for his obsession with mo-cap.
    Please Zemeckis, return to live action occasionally!

  • I doubt that motion capture will be the 'norm' since they're damn expensive to make. Look at Avatar. But at least Cameron doesn't think 'motion capture' IS the way to make films unlike Zemeckis, who I think is obsessed with it.
