Linda Hamilton Confirmed for Terminator Salvation

linda hamilton terminator

In February, Linda Hamilton revealed that she was in active negotiations to reprise her role as Sarah Connor for a voice over in McG’s Terminator Salvation. CHUD now has confirmation that she not only agreed to do the read, but the voice over is already cut into the beginning of the film. A Sarah Connor voice over is the perfect way to introduce the audience to the post-apocalyptic world of the future, and it sounds like it fit in quite nicely.

• I'll be the first to say I had my doubts when I first heard McG was helming the new trilogy. Christian Bale was the only reason I kept my eyes on this. However every trailer has proved me wrong and now we get a much welcomed voice over from Linda Hamilton. I have two words...HELL YEAH! Now the only thing to do is wait for the movie to be released.

Oh...A cameo from Schwarzenegger would be a nice little bonus. Maybe show his face at the end on a terminator then fade to black.
• Mcg does do good action should be cool to have his action in a really epic battlefield

This will definitely give the movie the sense of an authentic legacy, as Hamilton passes the series to a new generation of actors and filmmakers.

Cameo's and voice overs won't save this mess.
• (790)-blo-me
yeah, i'm with you! because we both saw it at the screening right? and we know so much about it because we wrote in and developed it right?

asswipe.
• its crazy that you can fit something like that into a movie after it has been made. especially a blockbuster that is planned down to the smallest detail.

Give the guy credit for having an open mind and trying lots of different things.

Her involvement can't hurt.

Pretty good news. Will lend the film and McNuggets more credibility. Getting pretty excited for the film now..
• Why not, she asked herself? Voiceover = pretty easy money. Good thing for the series though.
• -3 says otherwise for other people caring

Great, I am much more excited to see the film now. I hope she appears in a dream sequence as well, that would be nice, and make some sense that John would have dreams/nightmares with her in them.

I'm glad she is going to be a part of the movie. It's going to be so badass.

In the history of physical transformations achieved for film, Hamilton scores pretty heavily for what she did for T2. Seriously, that still photo of her represents every comic book ideal of a badass female heroine. The contrast from her looks in T1 immediately grounds the sequel in reality. Pretty awesome what she did.

This may convince some of the T4 naysayers to see the movie! Me being not one of them.

• Guys.... this movie will be legendary !

McG pulled every string and resource he had, sucked every d*ck and ate every puss to make this movie. Lets hope it pays off.
• also from things ive heard gives one hell of an RJ but really im looking forward to this movie the trailers have been wicked and yeah the one greatest memory i have about the t2 are the VO so pimp
• COME ON! I don't want a V.O, I want to see her IN ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRING HER BACK!!!!!!
• One of my favourite scenes of the Terminator films, was in 'T2' when Linda's voice would speak about the apocalypse as we were shown what it would be like in the dystopian future on-screen (the playground was vaporised...). Also, having both Arnie and Linda from the previous films in 'Salvation', that has certainly peaked my anticipation considerably!
• Same here! Those scenes were so epic to me as a kid...

Yes great idea!
• that will be awesome! her narrations in T2 were so dark and awesome. they really set the tone for the whole movie. im sure the same will be true for salvation. Linda Hamilton = man trapped in womans body. its so sad
• GOOD. SHE IS BAD-ASS!!
• wmwm
Thankyu for going the extra mile McG.
• Rando
How come some of your morons are thinking she is IN IT. She's doing a voice over...a narration...you don't see her and her "100" year old face. christ.
• Jeff
This would be great news if she still looked like she did in that T2 photo. Unfortunately she's like 100 now and I believe few will really care if she's in it or not. I know I couldn't care less.
• I thought it was so gay that in T3 she died of Leukemia...
I mean, she could have died in a cool way, like protecting John.
• pete
no, that would have been dumb. not only is it good writing but from the perspective of her character's development, it's the ultimate kick in the balls that she died of something natural while spending so much of her adult life preparing herself and her son to fight off something unnatural and man-made.
• See this was T3.

Boom.
Boom.
Leukemia.
Boom.
Boom.

Absolutely no time to let anything in, and it was just sudden.
It didn't work.
• I have to be honest... I dont remember ANYTHING from Terminator 3... let's hope this one wont have the same side effects...
• REAL6
I feel the same way, does anyone even remember 3?
Well its funny how the TV show and now it seems T4 will just skip T3 all together. Too funny.
• bobbyboy
Great news! the voice over at the end of T2 was epic!
• This is good news. I would have been disappointed if she said no.
• Brian
i can see a lot of people feeling tricked, they be all like "omfg shes back how did she come back!? yay!" then the film will end and they will be all kindsa pissed off and feel played...

but i personally like the idea =D

i have mixed feelings about this terminator film but i guess i have to see it b4 i judge it!

i will be there for the midnight screening at my theater =D
• I have a feeling that if they ever bring up that point... it'll be "We prefer to forget about that installment."
• So Shes in, But Arnold is still out?
• i'm sure CG Arnold is in it, I mean he has got to be in it, not really terminator without Arnold...
• Glad they made the right choice, it'll be nice to hear her again.
• This totally pwns it now.
Awesome!
• Agreed. It's a good way to transition from the old into the new.
• This pleases me.
