Beneath the bloody waters of Crystal Lake, an immortal evil wakes and begins anew the cycle of grueling violence. Six months after the events of FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH, a power-hungry government bureaucrat unleashes the denizens of the Necronomicon including the banished spirit of the Springwood Slasher, Freddy Krueger. But Ash Williams has checked his monster-hunting past at the door. A Chosen One no more, he thinks that a life of domestic bliss and retail tending is his true calling until the ghosts of the past show up to punch his clock again.
The original creative team behind WildStorm and Dynamite Entertainment¹s FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH proudly presents the bloody sequel to the sold-out smash horror crossover event! Featuring a triptych cover by Arthur Suydam (Marvel Zombies) to match the triptych cover from the original miniseries. Co-published with Dynamite Entertainment.

  • Who is Ash?
  • Are you serious?
  • well, seeing as how all three main characters have legendary cult followings due to their films, and /film has been known to post the occasional story not directed at a movie, this seems fine to me.
  • "Legendary Cult" status. When everybody, but only a small select group, loves your work...

I was just watching Freddy vs Jason today for the 1st time in like 4 years and noticed how shitty the movie was lol. But that was the charm of the movie. The campy feel and horrible plot and story with even worse characters and acting but it was a funny film. I think New Line really needs to do another Freddy vs Jason because it symbolizes what the 80s slaher/horror flicks were and it shows the dumbness of the later Friday the 13 and Nightmare on Elm Street movies and could be the more sillier series to accompany the newer remakes.

Friday the 13th wasn't very good at all and didn't represent what the originals did. The film was trying to be to serious and scary when it isn't not to mention a horrible script and acting as well as a horrible director didn't make it any better. Because Platinum Dunes is doing the exact same thing with Nightmare on Elm Street they did with Friday the 13th I have no hope in the film especially since Wes Craven won't be involved. If the film rights was in the hand of Dimension or even Sony I might have faith. Oh well can always hope Sony doesn't mess up the Hellraiser remake which actually has the series creator involved.
  • I am excited since this will probably b the only medium that we will see these movie greats duke it out... give em the boomstick, Ash!!!!

Jeff Katz? Is this the same Jeff Katz that Fox shitcanned? Is this the same guy that after being shitcanned kept doing interviews about X-Men Origins: Wolverine all over the place, like he had a major role in that production? Just curious. Guess nobody wanted to make a movie with him so he ended up doing this.
  • how about some hot chocolate ey? *evil grin*
  • Yep, kidding.

Jeff Katz quit Fox for another job, and he was an Executive on Wolverine and he stayed with Fox until he finished the project.
Jeff was approached by WildStorm to write the first Freddy Jason Ash book alone while still at Fox since he wrote the original treatment at New Line but since he was neck deep in Wolverine he couldnt and just more or less was in the background and James transcribed his outline....
They asked us all to come back and do the sequel and we all had projects in the works but agreed to do it one more time if we could pretty well have cart blanch and write a fan boys wet dream story that if it was ever shot as a film would have a 200 million dollar budget.
Jeff is doing quite well, but Jeff quit. He approached me months before(at Comicon last year) he left and told me when his contract was up with them and that he was gonna let it run out as he told me about a new job opportunity which he took.
