LOL: Even More Christian Bale Fun — 8 New Videos

As long as there are people on the internet, people will be creating pointless internet clips for us to laugh at. And this week the topic of conversation is the Christian Bale tirade. Watch eight new VOTD-worthy video clips after the jump.

Someone edited the audio clips into the Terminator Salvation movie trailer.

Before he was The Dark Knight, Christian Bale was Bill O’Reilly’s stage manager on Inside Edition. Check out this funny but obvious mash-up.

What happens when Steve Martin walks in front of Stephen Colbert’s eyeline on The Colbert Report? Find out.

The Batman who signs autographs outside the Manns Chinese Theatre gets upset at the distracting tourists.

Another Bale Outburst Dance Mix Song - Bale Out - RevoLucian’s Christian Bale Remix!

And someone claims to have actual footage from the incident. I have a feeling its just a reinactment, but It’s fun to imagine Christian with a big prop gun in his hand during the rant.

And finally, a public relations representative from Warner Bros makes a public statement about the tirade.

And someone on Funny or Die inserted the audio into The Dark Knight’s interogation scene.

Thanks to /Film readers Eric J, Rick K, Jonathan Z, Videogum, Defamer, Daily What, Film Drunk for the tips.

  • The Colbert clip wins!
  • There was never any doubt. =D
  • somesister27
    aahahahah colbert. my hero.
  • wank, wank, wank, wank!
  • Hah! The O Reilly one is my favorite
  • hoth base
colbert report was funny but the other ones were not funny. Stop with these stupid christian bale clips. Especially the STUPID dance remixes. GOD DAMN THEY ARE STUPID
  • Its odd how many actors have jumped to the defense of Bale in this...I guess all actors have many of the same complaints and issues with this sort of thing.
  • borden
actors and directors. Aranofsky backed Bale as well.
  • Do you have a link to where he backed him?
  • borden
i've tried posting the link but its not getting accepted. The article was a BBC article. If you go on google news and search bale+aranofsky you'll find it. i've asked peter to cover the article as well...
  • Post something positive about Bale? Good luck with that...
  • Some snippets:

Aronofsky said: "I think he was right. I don't think he was out of line."

..."Sets are very, very high-powered places where things go awry all the time and emotions are high. People are out there working really hard and exposing themselves, especially actors, and they need to be protected."

He went on to say: "Although it's never good to lose your temper that bad for obvious reasons, we don't know what scene he was doing. He could have been doing a deeply, deeply intense emotional scene."
  • Thanks, I think Aronofsky is awesome like the rest of you and I agree what he says that emotions are high at times on sets... but I still think he was over the line, but I think Aronofsky is saying that too when he says its never good to lose your temper.
  • I'm sure Aronofsky has lost his shit and cussed out a PA before. In fact, I'm sure the majority of directors have done that at one point or another. After all, isn't that what PAs are for? (that's even kind of a running joke in Hollywood. Check out Jay and Silent Bob strike back for example. Chris rocks character, with the coffee)
  • Will B
Comedy.com FTW... that was so damn funny.
  • hilarious.
  • Fuck IT!!! We'll Do it LIVE!!!...haha!!! I love that shit...
  • that was /awesome
  • Colbert FTW, the funniest thing Steve Martin has been apart of in years.
  • Best one was the comedy.com WB spokesperson clip. It's obviously a joke, but I agree with everything that guy said.
This story is getting WAY too much press though.
  • warner brothers out hahahhaha damn rights
  • Anyone see James Lipton do a reenactment of the Bale tirade on Conan last night? Along with Colbert that is tops.
  • Yes! That was hilarious!
  • how much of an icon do you have to be for your tantrums to become a pop culture phenom?!

    love wb statement
  • This is hilariously out of hang! LOL
  • freemachine
Bill O’Reilly vs Christian Bale!!! LMAO!!!

Makes me wonder if the O'Reilly Factor has blasted Bale over his comments...he's a bad influence on our children, etc.
  • The first one was only funny when the big ass Terminator came on and he said "You're walking around like dadadadada in the background." The third and fourth were funny too, but I think I'm already getting tired of these videos.
  • The One Two
    Colbert!
  • Colbert always wins.
  • Christian Bale fever is out and about! Nothing wrong with a bit of cheap humour to lighten up your days.
  • thw
    That remix is classic.
  • Peter, man, I love the sight. I've been an avid reader for quite some time now, but please stop it with the gossip posts. We all get it, Bale lost his shit, but I'm sure there are better things to report on by now.
You could take a note from Harry at AICN (even though I do recognize the irony of his post) and realize that Bale is a person, just like you and me. The story is everywhere already, why drag it out any longer?
These clips are humorous. I'm not an uptight person, I can laugh at subjects that I don't usually find funny, much like this one.
The only thing that I keep thinking to myself, as a person who has lost his shit from time to time, what if a video or sound clip of me acting like a dick got out and everybody in the country was listening to it talking about how much of an asshole I am, when nobody even really knows me. Maybe they know of me, maybe they've seen me from time to time, but now they are judging me based on one incident where I lost my cool and stooped down to a level beneath myself.
What if you lost your cool on a /filmcast one day and then that clip got plastered all over the internet? It would suck, it would be totally unfair. People would judge you based on a few minutes of audio and completely neglect all the other times that you have been a decent human being. Would you want a bunch of film blogs posting that clip? And then the handful of remixes of that clip and so on? Where does it end, Peter, where does it end? (answer: hopefully after this post)
Keep up the good work, Peter. Good, honest reporting.
  • muffin, I'm sorry but I disagree. I would never treat another human being the way Bale did. NEVER. No situation (other than murder, rape..etc) calls for that kind of treatment of another human being. Also, this is not just once chance incident, it has been claimed that Bale has had tantrums on other people as well (wasn't their a police report that claimed Bale yelling at his mother?) And Gossip aside, the video clips are funny. Hope you will continue to read the site.
  • Of course I'll continue to read this site, Peter. You and Brendon are my favorite movie bloggers on the internet. Thanks for responding and stating your position for me.
There are clearly two sides to this situation, most people are on your side it seems. Nobody on either side will ever be persuaded to the other side. I've just seen actors blow up like this on set and know that nobody takes it seriously. This is something that happens from time to time. This time the audio got leaked. Even though Bales public image may be damaged by this I know that nobody in the industry will bat an eye at it.
  • The thing I don't get is that a select few including yourself are looking at these Bale fun articles and making it about the gossip, about who was wrong and who was right, when these articles are completely not about that. The videos are either parodying the situation or making fun at the way Bale blew up. It's not about the why it's about the how. Not sure if that makes sense.
  • I get that. I am focusing on the reasons behind the incident whereas you are focusing on the incident itself. For me it's about the why. That makes perfect sense.
I do think that the videos are funny, the Colbert one being my favorite. The Bill O'Rielly one aint bad either.

This is the way that I am looking at it:
These things are all over the internet. Everywhere. It seems like I can't visit a website without seeing either an article on how Bale is an asshole and how the author is so above Bale's petty actions, or a parody video. I just think it's time to lay off it. I didn't think it was a big deal to begin with and I think the fact that this is still front page news (even the parody vids) is ridiculous. I find it to be sensationalism. Everybody is getting in a huff about nothing.
You are right. I should not be so uptight. This article is not about who is wrong and who is right. I made it about that and I was wrong for that. But I will stick with my argument that this is not news, nor is it something that we couldn't find anywhere else on the internet. For that reason I would like to see you report on something more original, but it's up to you what you chose to report on. Either way, I'll still back this site as my favorite on the web.

You forgot BOBJENZ's Christian Bale Tirade Spoof!
  • I imagine Bale's under a lot of pressure, i honesly can't blame him for blowing up
  • Lame. What happened to "This is the last thing we will be posting on the subject"?
  • Colbert still wins. But this had me dying laughing haha

  • meh
Um... this isn't funny. It's none of your business anyway, everyone has had bad days and said things they regret, the only reason people care about this time is because he's a celeb. You guys are losers if all you have to do is sit on your computer and trash an awesome guy. Sure, he has problems, he's only human, and one of his biggest problems is his temper and swearing. So forgive him, like he begged everyone to, or be an unforgiving idiot. I mean seriously, if your best friend did this would you forgive them or just decide their a jerk? Seriously people, back off and forget about it.
