The highly anticipated new installment of “The Terminator” film franchise is set in post-apocalyptic 2018.  John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators.  But the future that Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row.  Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past.  As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

Terminator Salvation hits theaters on May 22nd 2009.

  • You're Shooting guns at me?! While I'm trying to act?! What the F--- do you think you're doing? You're so F---ing unprofessional! ~Bale

God. He's killed the buzz on this movie for a while, at least for me. Terminator looks pretty good though. What a T-1000 predecessor should look like.
  • Hahaha

    GIVE ME A F&*KIN" ANSWER!!!!!
  • skippy
hmm, that T-600 looks broader and heavier than the T-800 we're used to seeing. Different nose, too. I wonder what it will look like with the "rubber skin" on it...
  • is it just me....or does it need a bigger head?
  • skippy
nah, they purposely scaled the head down a bit to make the body seem stockier (to give a more football player-esque appearance)

i guess this is the bruiser of the terminators...
  • freemachine
This is also concept art. The T-800 may look a little different in the movie.
  • this isn't a football player, this is a football player with pads! too big
  • McG said that the Terminators in this movie are basically prototypes for the T-800, so they all look like weird humans.
  • I like it. Well they certainly don't need to blend into society any more, unless there is a strict dress-code in the Post-Apocalyptic world, so I'm happy they have been made as ruthless and powerful-looking (if you get where I'm coming from, with the huge broad shoulders and size) as possible.
  • Palmer
Hmm..I can imagine that if there was going to be skin on it, it would look like Arnold Schwarzenegger during his bodybuilder days.
  • This picture is awesome!!!
  • Anon
It's big and clunky on purpose, SkyNet can't build sleek and sexy T-800s on day one. Just like how we went from CRT TVs to flatscreen HDTVs.
  • Why can't Skynet build proper robots?? Isn't it supposed to be smarter than us? Couldn't it take all the technology we have (which is already better than what's shown here) and build upon it?
  • Clarence Somerset
His face reminds me of Sam Worthington.
  • :-( This design doesn't make any sense to me, prototype or not. I'm calling EPIC FAIL.
  • Christian Bale
WHY IS THAT TERMINATOR WALTZING AROUND THE SET?! HE DOESN'T APPRECIATE WHAT IT"S LIKE TO BE AN ACTOR! UGH!!!!!
  • Zinc
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT? FOR FUCKS SAKE!
  • wow that looks menacing... it looks pretty cool too. though those shoulders seem a little too broad.
  • Locknarr
I know this has already been stated, but to reiterate to those of you who think this model will have skin, or doesn't look proportional to the human body, this model of terminator doesn't have the skin and is just a step towards a more human-looking model; it's a prototype for the T-800: bigger, bulkier, a work in progress.
  • Locknarr
Nevermind, I was wrong... the T-600 is the one that had the rubber skin and were easy to spot. Kyle Reese: "The 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy, but these are new. They look human - sweat, bad breath, everything. Very hard to spot. I had to wait till he moved on you before I could zero him."
  • The only thing I can think is "What a freaking huge pair of shoulders!!!" Besides that...looks cool.
  • THAT TERMINATOR IS A F'N AMATEUR
  • PRS4Life
I hate to be a sour puss, but as far as this franchise goes, these Terminators have been traveling back in time for as long as the story has unfolded. And anyone who has seen the TV series ( I know it's not in canon with the movies ) knows that these machines could assist in creating skynet and other Terminator's in the past. So why the hell would there be a "lesser" model, when the T-800's are there to recreate they're own technology? Sorry for the geek rant, it's been bugging me.
  • I don't know why but the Bale "fuck you" tape put any interest for this movie off for me.
  • idiot
I guess you're not a movie fanatic than.
  • GregoryV
It totally looks like a GENOM BOOMER from the Bubblegum Crisis anime.
  • looks sick... Bring out another trailer already...
  • Rockme
looks like the humanoid alien from Alien Resurrection!
  • looks good.
  • I think this looks pretty freakin' sweet.
  • I dnot like the look of this terminator version...looks over the top
