NBS like the studio 60 network?
  • I'm surprised how much viral work they're doing for this movie.
  • They saw how great the viral for TDK was, and this is more of an unknown property. While they won't hit Dark Knight box office, if they want Iron Man numbers, they have their work cut out for them.
  • That was brilliant.

I don't think viral promotions will reach anybody but those who are likely to know Watchmen anyway.
  • i agree, and the few that aren't fans that do come across it will be more confused than anything.
  • That was fairly well made. I say keep the viral work coming, I love it!
  • Aeghast
    nice little vid
  • that was pretty sick, i really can't wait for this to come out because i feel it's either going to be a masterpiece of dark knight proportions or a piece shit of indiana jones 4 proportions. the extreme love for watchmen is one that will most definitely polarize. great little virals like this continually give me hope that what many considered the impossible is possible... to make watchmen into a good fucking movie. fuck i can't wait for march!!!!!!!
  • The viral for this is done really well. They probably don't need any more hype for this movie though.
  • i can hardly take the wait anymore. that was awesome.

Look at that freak! It's against God!
  • Oh my god that is awesome!
  • I am so sick of that chick Franki's hair in that Boost Mobile ad on the right side of the page. How much would I have to pay to take up that ad space so that I don't have to look at that anymore?
  • the best part is, it's not an ad for boost mobile. it's for the army.

as a hair stylist i can say that it's actually painful for me to look at. a terrible pompadour rising out of inch long roots that connects to brassy "did it myself" blonde on a ghost white girl with an already freakishly large forehead? zoinks! i'd like to see nbs do a special on the freak accident that caused THAT mishap!
  • Jfive
I keep getting the weight loss add with the girl in the skimpy underwear :P

    Better blue then red man!
  • ROFL!
  • ROFL! Nailed it.
  • Do you think that all these viral ads are directed by Snyder or are they directed by somebody from the ad department?
  • fabescore
    Thanks creamy....
  • Nice viral video. Nice find Peter.
  • I'm in the middle of reading this for the first time, seeing this video gave me a funny feeling. A good funny feeling. Here's to hoping the film adaptation delivers.
  • gah
Despite my complete lack of interest in a film adaptation of Watchmen, I have ot admit, it's nice that those of you who do care don't have to go on scavenger hunts like we did for the DK last year.
  • That was incredibly authentic and cool until they started listing his superpowers like a Pokemon.
  • That's what I was thinking. I was thinking that Warner Bros. toned it down quite a bit from actually having activities to just having fake newscasts.
  • the dude
fire brednon connely his articles are so boring
  • I think its great that they are doing this kinda stuff and maybe JUSSSSSST maybe they are doing it for the fans and because it was fun for them not just to sell a few extra tickets. Yeah I guess I'm one of those naive holdouts but as an aspiring filmmaker I can say that doing something like that piece would be really cool.
  • Complete sweetness. The tank "melting" is much better in black and white.

    Better Blue Than Red Baby!
  • I thought everone in the 70's had a Porno Moustache, maybe that was just in Porn.
  • Oi Vey
actually they say that the first three years in a decade is still the previous. Meaning that 70-73 was still the 60s in fashion, culture and politics. Samething with the decades following it. That's why 1980-83 still looked like the 70s, and it wasn't until New Wave hit that 84 took on the '80s look'.
  • Nice.
  • I felt that this viral did nothing at all...didnt make me want to go see it less or want to go see it more! I actually thought it was fan made!

    Very well done video
But a trailer would of done better for me
  • I love how much work they are putting into this film
  • Debo382
Haha...Zack Snyder played the guy who said "Better Blue than Red man, better Blue than red!"
  • thats was great. i think for every superhero movie or every movie should do something like that and put it on youtube and spread it all over the web. its entertaining and pluse it would be good for the movie cause people that never heard of the movie before mite see this and and mite have made them go and see it cause of a littl short video. so it would end up makeing more money for them
  • "The superman exists...and he's American." Brilliant piece of viral video there, I especially enjoyed the on-street interviews with the 'people' of New York and the little kid sporting that 'Better Blue Than Red' t-shirt.
  • doughope
