More Adventureland Video Clips

Miramax has premiered new footage from Adventureland on AICN and MySpace. Greg Mottola’s new film premieres at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival next week, and we can’t wait to see it.  If you’ve seen the trailer that was released in November, than you pretty much know what to expect — it’s more of a damedy than a laugh-out-loud comedy (ie more Garden State than Superbad). Some people believe that it has the potential to be next year’s sleeper hit ala Little Miss Sunshine/Juno. Both clips are embedded after the jump.

Adventureland is a coming of age film based on Mottola’s own experiences at the Long Island amusement park. Set in 1987, the film follows James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg), an uptight recent college grad forced to take a minimum wage job at an amusement park when he realizes he can’t afford his dream tour of Europe. Writer/director Greg Mottola – best known as the director of the hit comedy Superbad – channeled his own experiences as a low-paid amusement park employee while making the film. Co-starring Kristen Stewart, Ryan Reynolds, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig and Martin Star.

Adventureland hits theaters on March 27th 2009.

  • This looks really good. I hope this can be a project where Stewart can be taken serious after Twilight.
  • I don't think it's too realistic. I mean who has a mustache anymore?
  • Dude, it was the 80s. Every man wanted to be Tom Selleck.
  • just to see Kristen Stewart brings memories of seeing Twilight,...oh what a horrible experience...
  • Is it just me or can Bill Hader do nothing wrong.
  • No he cannot. When's he going to get his own movie?
  • Even if he did something wrong, it would be right.
  • Stella Adler
Oh boy, how people's taste in film has gone down the tremors hole saddens me. Why is anybody thinking this film will be great? It has nothing great going for it.
  • Tremors was a good movie, you're right.
  • Look at all the piecing, the buttons, it's a really expensive look.
  • I can't look at Kristen Stewart the same again after Twilight, either. Her reputation is TAINTED!!!

this movie does look good, though
  • Angie
Speaking as a person who met her boyfriend working at an amusement park, I can say (with only a little authority) that this movie looks legit!!
  • Oh nice, it's got Applebee from "Cheats."
  • Jesus. If you know Martin Starr as "Applebee from Cheats", you need to watch Freaks and Geeks and enlighten yourself, motherhubbard.
  • Dude, that's the guy from Freak and Geeks? I totally didn't recognize him. He was brilliant on that show.
  • Oh, to be young and witless.
  • Cod
    I HAVE A MUSTACHE!

And I for one am SICK of mustache persecution. We are people too!!!!!
  • eh, i dont know about this film. Nothing really grabs my attention.
  • What can I say... it slipped below my radar good sir.

The show only lasted one season, ya know.
  • Stella Adler
It is single-handedly thee greatest show to ever grace the small screen and Martin Starr is crazemazing in it.
  • The greatest show to ever grace the small screen...

Wait, you mean it's better than Wings? I find that mighty hard to believe.
  • Not a big fan of Stewart either but I may give this a chance.

Hooray for movies set in the 80's.
  • This looks crap! Nothing going for it at all...skip
  • I LOVE KRISTEN STEWART
