What-ever the ridiculous plot, and you can guarantee it will be pretty darn ridiculous, I'll be watching Numero 2 for the exact same reason I saw the first Transformers film. For the enjoyment factor. It may not have been brilliant film-making, script-writing or acting, but it was one of the most turn-off-sit-back-and-relax enjoyable films I've seen over the last few years.

It was the whole Sam and his great grandfathers glasses which happened to be incredibly powerful and drag him into all of this. Like I said though, despite it's flaws in my eyes, 'Transformers' is just a great movie to sit back and enjoy. So it had a 'ridiculous plot' in my eyes, who cares? It contained plenty of action and violence that kept me entertained for an hour and a bit.

Well, thank you for being honest. You are not like others who think if the plot is not good, then the whole movie suck.

I really agree with you on that whole "his grandpa's glasses just HAPPENED to hold some important information linking him to Tranformers and blah blah blah." It's random. But you're right, it's still an amazing movie with incredible CG and I'll most likely see the sequel as well.

I would not be surprised at all if that was how things go down in the movie. Silly yes, but somehow totally awesome at the same time.

The plot is think this time, take the pictures for what they are. Working in THE FALLEN to the movie is unreal and true to the TF mythology. Sounds like THE FALLEN visited earth in ancient times and is resting inside a pyramid. For those who don't know THE FALLEN he is one the original 13 TF made to life. The FALLEN was a protector of good till out of know where he FELL to be evil and a servant of UNICRON (Ultimate Evil) he never recieved a name as he FELL to evil and was know as "THE FALLEN" He is basically a bad ass, in your face, no mercy Satan.

That's why they do not, no will not bring back Megatron cause The Fallen could rip Megatron in half. Its going to be a great movie starting out with the Decepticons taking same and the AutoBots battling. Throw in THE FALLEN forcing the two sides to battle together. Devastator forming 50 feet high to battle The Fallen, Jetfire switching from a decepticon to help Prime battle his previous alliance, and about 40 robots and you got one hell of a movie and a mega summer blockbuster. Thats what the movie is, heart racing, eye popping, fast action. explosiions to jolt your spirt and leave with a smile.

Is that Optimus pic in the cover new or is it from the 1st film?

Regardless of the tacky or the MB factor, this sequel is going to PROFIT like a bitch. I'll be there opening night. I'm of the rare breed who adored the original cartoon series and was not too insulted by Bay's film adaptation.

Is that a bandage wrapped around Shia's hand in the first photograph? Must be from the accident where he chopped off his fingers, and then the injury was written into the script.

Uh, sorry to point out the blindingly embarrassingly obvious, but the "cybertronian heiroglyphics" on the pole are Arabic. As for Sam's -shirt, i'd put safer money on it being a meaningless graphic. No story here, people :)

Peter, I think the lettering on the pole that Josh Duhamel's character is holding on to might be some sort of Arabic - obviously I'm just guessing because if you look closely on the white van flying behind him, there is, again, what appears to be lettering similar to Arabic along side of it. This is just connecting some kind of dots from the idea that they're shooting in Egypt, so I guess it makes some sense that there would be that kind of script in the area. As for Sam's shirt, it looks like the number 6 and a crescent moon shape surrounded by stars or something, so I'm just guessing that it's some sort of graphic tee.

But like I said, I'm just speculating. Or am I? OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

I remember back in two thousand... something, hearing about Micheal Bay doing Transformers and thinking "you know what, that's a match made in heaven, if I wanted anyone to make a movie where giant robots duke it out, I'd want Michael Bay to direct it because then silly little things like plot and characterization wouldn't get in the way."

And then he went ahead and added plot and characterization... and they sucked. I mean it wasn't terrible, but it was on par with what Bay's capable of. Really, would any of us have been horribly disappointed if they'd used the loosest plot available to explain why giant robots were fighting each other... and then give us just that? OKay, so granted, the Cube thing was a very loose plot, but there was way too much "robots smashing up the garden while Shia "The Beef" yells no so many times" for my liking.


Do I think this sequel will improve this? Not at all. Am I still excited about it... yeah.

I'm going to be honest. I don't like Megan Fox. I don't think she's pretty. There could have been a million better actors in her place. But ah well. Tranformers draws me in with the incredible CG and adding something having to do with Egypt into the sequel just makes it somehow better.

The first Movie was okay , there were to many lame parts . I'm hoping the second will be better . if you think about it Egypt is the perfect place to film the new movie because the mystery surrounding the pyramid !!!!!
