  • any word on other Canadian dates?
  • Man I have to wait until next year for KC.
  • I agree with you Kip_Mooney, people definitely have to go see it. I was jazzed because it was Aronofsky, but Rourke really steals the show. The last time I was this excited to go see a movie was for The Fountain, which was a trip.

Anyway, I saw The Wrestler at the Chicago International Film Festival and Rourke should seriously get some Oscar play for it. Can't wait for the world to see it!
  • Great, only a week. Saw the trailer in the theater last night, can't wait.
  • damn, i have to wait until the 23rd :/
hopefully fox searchlight will have an early free screening in my area, like they did with slumdog millionaire.
  • Australia 15 January 2009
    Finland 16 January 2009
    UK 16 January 2009
    Estonia 23 January 2009
    Argentina 12 February 2009
    Netherlands 12 February 2009
    Norway 13 February 2009
    Germany 26 February 2009
  • Always nice to see international viewers getting to see films at the same time as (and in this case, before some) US audiences. The delay can be really lame, otherwise. For instance, we're STILL waiting on Zack & Miri. Sorry, Kevin - I already downloaded it and seen it three times. Fans can't and won't wait in this digital age.
  • Nick O.
    hell yes!
  • I really wish I could have Macho Man Randy Savage yell "OHH YEAH!!" for me; I'm that excited. Then again, if Macho Man found out I got dusty during the trailer he'd probably snap me like a slim-jim.
  • No matter when it comes out near you, go see it. If only one theatre in your state is playing it, drive there. It'll be worth it. I promise you.
  • Kokushi
Delays sucks, im sure i will see it when is on DVD :(, here in latin america they bring Chihuaha movie but not movies like this is facking depressing lol.
  • i cant wait to see this movie. i hope mickey gives a great performance.
  • skaught
guess its never coming to toronto.
  • mitchell
    Once again Connecticut is snubbed
  • I figure that at least in Vancouver we'll get it around the same time as Seattle. That usually seems to be the case. Crossing my fingers though.
  • This film was outstanding. A tad bit conventional for Aronofsky, but he managed to add his own unique touch. He and the actors took what could have been an average film and made it something much more personal, especially for Rourke. A must see.
  • Joe
Last time I checked, Hartford and New Haven are in Connecticut, are they not?
  • Lenny
Arghh! One more month for me.
    Hurry the hell up time.
  • MarkGoug
Also, December 26th at the Cumberland for all you Torontonians like myself. (I saw it at TIFF, but whatever. I'm seeing it a again!)
  • MT gets snubbed all the time
  • And this is why I love living near San Francisco.
