  • More than half a year. Sigh *sits quietly*
  • These are great. Looks like they're going to top the last one. Excellent!
  • Well, I always thought I would eventually see all the movies, but when I moved into my current house last January and one of my roommates had all of the movies I just decided to watch them.
  • A.J.
at least we got to see twilight early! ...wait
  • By top the next one do you mean in terms of genericness or undeserving praise?
  • Don't make me puke.....again
  • Monaco
Thank you for the early Christmas present, ABC Family channel! Not only did I get to watch Harry Potter all weekend, but now these clips will held tide me over until July.

I like how each film is better than the last, I think they've transitioned rather well from crappy TV movie (first two) to something that can easily compete with other bigs movies this year. I'll be interested to see how well they adapt this one (adapt, not "follow the book word for word" like some people seem to want).
  • The Harry Potter movies have been getting better with each film, there's no denying that. The movies haven't been given that much praise outside of HP fans. And if you don't like the HP movies then I suggest you don't watch them and keep your opinion to yourself. No one likes their parade rained on.
  • I agree with that...I've been liking the movies more and more each time...so for the first time ever, I'm actually excited to see a Harry Potter movie...
  • It's funny every time one comes out I am soo excited and then afterwards I leave with a feeling of... well that was okay. But I can't ever seem to help getting super excited again. This one looks incredible... and I'm looking forward to watching the actors, who we've seen grow up into these roles, deal with their first akward love interests...
  • personally, i have a weird wave-graph of appreciation for these movies. the first two were kinda lame, the third is still the best in my opinion, and the last two good, but not great. i'm expecting this one will fall into that same category. i'm looking forward to it, nonetheless.
  • I'm actually genuinely interested to see this movie. I had never seen the previous ones or read the books until I watched all of the movies in the span of a week last winter. I do agree that they are getting better as they go on, which is another reason why I'm excited about this one coming out.
  • Mo-Mo
i agree. while i guess i can be considered a "purist" who wants everything to be in the movies, i understand that we're not gonna get a 600 page literal book to screen translation. i think the creative license given to the directors and screenwriters has helped the films become a more cinematic experience.
  • -sigh- stupid postponed release....July is too far away...I hate Warner Bros.
  • I have high hopes for the adaptations of the last book. The last time I heard, they were planning on splitting the book into two movies with a couple months between release dates. There's no way to fit the last book into one movie and not be murdered by fans.
  • I'm interested to know what sparked your interest to make you watch all the movies
  • I love the Harry Potter movies.
  • This is my favorite book in the whole series, and it's looking to be moderately good so far as a movie, from what we've seen. But, as I did with OotP, I will walk into the theatre with *very* low expectations so that I can enjoy it more. And to think I could have seen this movie already! Grrrr, WB!!!
  • smither
Totally agree...the first two were mediocre. Then Alfonso Cuaron beautifully brought his own version into the series. And the last two were pretty good, nothin special.

i'm disapp0inted that it was scheduled on july. it was t0o l0ng t0 wait. my friends and i can't wait t0 watch that m0vie. but the m0vie replacing HP was amazing, t0o.

  • Nothing can top Prisoner of Azkaban for this series. Get Cuaron back and soon. This David Yates guy is just as bad as Chris Columbus. Peter Jackson would tear this shit up! I vote for him for The Deathly Hallows.

Can we have some footage that's not in the trailer, please?

The way I've always understood it, the whole point of a book adaption is to bring about the essence, themes and main plot of the story of the book without worrying too much about trying to get everything in. It's for this reason I feel the first two movies weren't that good, and similarly, why the third movie was good, despite missing quite a bit of, what fans called "plot" (although it was really just a whole lot of backstory that was missing and, when thought about, it wasn't needed).
  • I cannot even begin to express how absolutely uninterested I am in these Harry Potter movies. I missed something, I guess, because they just don't jive with me. Yes, I've tried them all. I even screened the first one as a projectionist. I guess I just can't suspend belief THAT far.

But there is no denying their success and entertainment value for the kiddies. Just the kiddies, right?? ;o)
  • That was a nice sneak peek. I hope this one will be a lot darker.
  • marduk_18xx06
Very nice. As we say im my country: "chevere".
  • man i still cannot believe we have to wait till the summer. i keep hoping warner will wake up and go, "kidding" and then release it in march. that won't suck as much...
  • HPFan
Couldn't have said it better myself!!!
