New Star Trek Posters: Uhura and Nero

Paramount Pictures has released 2 new posters for JJ Abrams‘ Star Trek. Keeping with the black look introduced with the last set of Kirk and Spock character banners, these new teaser posters feature Eric Bana as the Romulan villain Nero and Zoe Saldana as Uhura.   • If there is one thing Abrams does right, it is getting marketing to produce good quality campaigns. These black and white posters really intrigue me.
  • These look much better than the Spock and Kirk posters.
  • Wow. Nero looks so much cooler here than he does in the actual trailer- the one part of the trailer that I found off-putting.

    Interestingly, that is also Eric Bana's character in Funny People.
  • 2009 is going to be Zoe Saldana's year. She's got Star Trek in the summer and then Avatar in December. Although she plays an alien in Avatar so we probably won't see her actual face.

  • Why are they in black and white? Does the futuristic world of Star Trek not hold the wonderful power of color?
  • It probably has TOO MUCH colour due to the new direction so the poster will help find the balance.
  • These just look like the posters that had all four of them together, only this time they are all separate.

  • And "Uhura" pic just looks like some perfume add from cosmo. Yawntastic.
