Ben Stiller’s Little Fockers

Fox News is reporting that Ben Stiller is back to developing a third film in the Meet The Parents series called Little Fockers.

“In the natural progression of things, Robert DeNiro and Blythe Danner would return as grandparents to Ben Stiller and Teri Polo’s babies. Of course, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand would have to return as well.”

Meet the Parents was actually a pretty funny family comedy, but I found Fockers extremely painful to watch. The title is the funniest thing about the sequel. The addition of Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand just didn’t work, and I don’t think the introduction of a baby (or possible twins) will make a third film any better.

    This is great,both meet the parents and fockers were very very good comedies,i think the cast is awsome they can really make you laugh

    De Niro is better than this and the thing is most of stiller co-stars are better and funnier than him.

    But I read this news and for some reason all I can think about is Little Man.
  • I'm sure you had to see this coming. While I don't think it will be the greatest thing ever, it would definitely be better than Heartbreak Kid Part Deux.

    I think this will be a success, Stiller is always funny as the nervous Son-in-Law ashamed of his unorthodox parents. Even though Dustin Hoffman and Barbera Streisand were very good as Bernie and Roz Focker i think Stillers birth parents would have been a lot funnier, just bc Jerry Stiller is out of his mind, even though heartbreak kid wasnt very good Jerry Stiller had some funny parts in it as Stillers father.
  • It doesn't surprise me this is in the works, but I have no desire to see it. I liked Meet the Parents and still find it fun to watch on occasion, but Meet the Fockers was awful. It had a couple of funny moments, but on a whole it was annoying. DeNiro's character was so over the top and ridiculous that it ceased to be funny.
  • I'll pass. Meet the Fockers was just an hour and a half of rehashed jokes from the first movie, and this will be the same. Still, it should be better than a Heartbreak Kid 2. That's not even remotely appealing.

    hahah heartbreak kid was actually funny and meet the parents/fockers were both enjoyable wouldnt mind seeing a sequel for both probbaly would wait to rent them

    Meet The Parents was really good I loved it but the 2nd one was pushing it and now this is going to far I think... As much as I would LOVE for it to work I really doubt it will.

    Yuck! I'd rather see something NEW than yet another rehashing of the same old garbage. Pass.
  • I enjoyed seeing DeNiro and Hoffman playing old dads on screen. Despite the lacking quality of Meet The Fockers overll, their chemistry was great. I have to admit I'd go see Little Fockers at this point.
  • Is this a necessary movie? No. Will I rent it, and forget about it? Yes.

    Although I find Stiller to be less than funny on screen...better behind the camera, but with the added cast in the Parents/Fockers series it trumps his performance. Must mention that he is bearable to watch in these films as it seems to mesh better than others. I'd still love to see this over a Heartbreak Kid 2.

    Yay!! I have been waiting for this!! I am so excited!!
    But they have to bring back Dustin Hoffman and Barbra streisand! Meet the Fockers is my favourite, I think the whole feel of the movie is fricking hilerious!! I have seen it so mnay times! I cant wait for this! I hope everyone is in it again though! :)

    those focker movies may be the funniest movies ever!!! I dont know how people can hate it. the whole cast were funny as hell. i couldnt even tell which one was funnier and i cant wait for the new one. But i will not even consider it unless the whole cast is in it. if they do ill probly watch it a hundred times like the previous two.

    I thought all those movies were funny! I would love to see meet the little focker, lol what a wonderful title!!! I think everyone in the second movie worked really nice together and made the movie what it is! I am actually watching meet the fockers right now!
