Watch Lawrence of Arabia for Free

Have four hours to spare? Hulu now has the restored director’s cut of the Best Picture Academy Award winning film Lawrence of Arabia is now available for free streaming (in the US).

  • Good show, Hulu, but if you've never seen Lawrence of Arabia before this is definitely NOT the presentation you want to see it in. First-timers should see it in a revival big-screen theater if possible, and barring that, in High-Def on as large a screen as you have access to.

YYYYyyyyyyeeeaaaahhhhh Mr. babyman. What are the chances of that happening?

    @ Eric

if you live in Los Angeles or NY chances are they will be playing it on the big screen at least a couple times that year.
  • Mr Babyman: Agreed. YouTube should have a menu that pops up when you press play that asks you if you've ever seen it before, and if you pick "No" it forwards to a video of some great director yelling at the user to find it on the big screen.

I think online is a suitable way to watch any film.

You can't scold people for not viewing it on a big screen. Many times they cannot control it. We don't all live in LA or New York.

I live in a small community near a small town in Canada's second-smallest province. I don't even have access to watching most new movies in a cinema, so have to resort to any means possible of watching them.
  • Trevor, I would agree with you most of the time, but this film is the type of film that you need to see on the big screen for the first time (which might not be possible for you). And if not that, than at least in HD on a big tv.

i watched this on the big screen earlier this week in class! god that movie is boring. yes, amazing cinematography, but, boring. i know a lot of hard work went into making that film. i feel bad for the camera assistants shooting in the desert with all that sand. tough to keep out of the camera. haha.

    Boring!?

It's the ultimate epic motion picture.

I'm surprised at how compelling it was for near-four hours.

Curses to whoever is responsible for me not being able to view this because I don't live in the US.
  • You can buy the movie at Circuit City for $5...that's where I got it this summer and I've seen it twice.

Didn't Spielberg say he watches this before embarking on a new project?

It's a real Sunday afternoon movie, get some snacks in and revel in its glory.

Ok. I DO live near NYC. About 30 min by train. But how do I find out where and when it's playing?
  • I don't want to watch a movie like that on my laptop. I'd rather sit in a very comfortable armchair and watch it on a large screen TV...

Did someone say this movie is boring????????

At first glance I thought it said Lawrence of a Labia...

Still, Zack and Miri was a good film, and curses for being outside the US.
