New Photos: Jim Carrey is Harry Potter in Yes Man

I found a few new photos for the new Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man. More photos after the jump.

Carrey stars as Carl Allen, a man who signs up for a self-help program based on one simple principle: say yes to everything and anything. At first, unleashing the power of “yes” transforms Carl’s life in amazing and unexpected ways, but he soon discovers that opening up his life to endless possibilities can have its drawbacks. The movie also stars Zooey Deschanel, Bradley Cooper, Rhys Darby, John Michael Higgins, Danny Masterson, and Terence Stamp. Yes Man hits theaters on December 19th 2008.

    No. No no no no.

This movie is a complete and total bastardization of Danny Wallace's humorous and touching memoir. I beg you all, please do not see this movie.

i agree with iron matt. dont wanna see it. jc lost his touch. :(
  • Justin
Shut the fuck up, the movie hasn't screened for anyone yet. All you've seen is a trailer.
  • IronMatt
    @Justin

If you've read the book Justin, that's all you need to see. Everything in it is a complete and total departure from the memoir. Everything from the reason why he says yes to everything to the things he does when he says yes have been changed. And unnecessarily so, if I might add.

So Justin, why don't you "shut the fuck up" before you start talking about things you don't know.

Can't we all just get along?

Danny Wallace has gone on record saying he's totally cool with how this is being done. This was never going to be a Danny Wallace bio pic. The 'say yes more' idea is the jumping off point for a new story.

I'm not saying the film looks wonderful, AT ALL, but it's far from 'bastardization' of the book, as it never intended to use the story at all

I made this a little bit ago when I first saw the Yes Man poster. If you guys are gonna talk about staying true to the biopic, this is probably more like it. (sarcastic)

Yeah, I think you guys should wait for the movie to come out before judging it. Lighten up.

I think all we need is a little love and compassion.
  • What point would there be in slavishly retelling Wallace's "memoir" on the big screen anyway? Using it as a launching point for a film is totally ok. All that matters is if the film is good or not...

And I expect it will be very good. Reed is a very smart and talented director.

If I were to solely base my opinion of this movie on the materials that have been put out to draw me in.

I would have to say this movie looks..... awful.

Zooey Deschanel is one fine lookin lady. she is really hot.

Been waiting anxiously for this one...I hope it's not another Fun with Dick and Jane though, I really hope it's more along the lines of a classic Carrey comedy.

The fact that Zooey Deschanel is in it just pushes the anxiousness higher. I enjoy watching her in film, fell in love with her in Elf :P
  • Hmmm..the premise seems exciting. I wish it will be on par with liar-liar.
  • Reminds me of Lair Lair theme, all around this movie.

This movie is going to be horrible. The trailer does not entice me at all to even consider seeing this.
