if you can get past the ignorant first paragraph in the film school rejects article on spider-man, where they say - "...with the news that Tobey Maguire will do a 4th and 5th installment (with returning director Sam Raimi), things didn’t seem to get much better..." - there are a few decent ideas they bring up. almost all of it has been previously discussed, but i'm a spider-man nut, so i can't help but indulge in the topic.

    - giving banks a larger role, plus seeing her chemistry with tobey could be very fun to watch. but i am in the minority that feel dunst & MJ are crucial to these films & the mythology all together. dunst is fine by me, and it wouldn't be the same without her. i think the key is to go ahead and make MJ the super success she is (or has been) in the comics. lets give her a new life to work with, as we've already seen the heartbreak of her getting fired, now lets see something else, something more professionally exciting with her career.

-i think at this point the lizard argument is a given, that we all hope to see, and they are right in saying lets not just make it automatic; let the relationship develope the same way tobey & molina did in sm2.

    - jk simmons is great, but i'm not sure if giving him a bigger role is a fix, i kind of feel it could come off forced. his screentime was perfect in sm2, and to be honest, the spider-man bashing was starting to get boring and tired in sm3. its the same song and dance in all 3 films. now, 'spider-man reign' showed a defeated jameson who seeks out the wall crawler for help, maybe something like that could work.

-i had no problems with tobey's performance in any of the films. the script was the problem in sm3, not maguire's delivery. it ain't broke, lets hope he keeps on rolling with a better story.

sorry to take up so much space, but i can't help it.

My Name is Bruce!! Talk about a movie that fell off the face of earth and into the depths of Narnia. Does anyone know a release date or dvd date or something?

Also "Hugh Jackman will star opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones in Stephen Soderbergh’s 3D rock musical Cleopatra" hahahah what. This sounds awesome and terrifying at the same time.

If they're making a double dip with the Dark Knight Soundtrack, here's hoping there's an extended cut of the film in the near future.
