We’ve tried to convince you that this weekend’s Sex Drive conquers the odds for that ever commodified of genres, the teen sex comedy. And now Summit Entertainment has released the first R-rated 10 minutes online to convert the masses. This should give you a good idea of how the film balances funny rapid-fire sophomoric humor with cast chemistry reminiscent of so many ’80s mallrat gems. While the movie’s resident mack, Clark Duke, doesn’t show up until the end, the brotherly crossfire between Josh Zuckerman and James Marsden hasn’t lost any punch since our press screening exploded. And Zuckerman’s Mexican donut now seems like a big Halloween Don’t (Do?) for the ages.

Unless you’re someone who apologizes for laughing with people who like beer, or you’re super depressed about the economy or a dead pet, it’s a really good time.

  • I was able to catch it last week and it is indeed awesome. Totally worth seeing with a big crowd.

  • It looks about as funny as I expected.
  • McGruff
Tell her she is a dirty skank
  • Fab
I don't think this will ever export outside of Texas
  • Cinci
i saw the movie at a free screening last wednesday and it is hilarious. and it truly does "reinvent" the genre. it feels fresh. definitely the funniest of 08.
  • Warren
it looks alright. I'm not too convinced.
  • hoffamania
    Looks pretty damn good
  • I was planning on seeing W. tomorrow but that 10 minutes and Clark Duke have convinced me to see this movie.
  • Nick
I saw this at a prescreening last saturday and it really is hilarious. For those of you who got kind of exhausted of James Marsdens homophobia it changes up to other jokes later on in the movie, I thought he was very funny, I this movie deserves almost as much praise as superbad and I liked it way more than tropic thunder or pineapple express, and Im huge fans of stiller and rogen. Everyone should give this a try, and drown Max Payne which looks terrible.
  • Nick
Also this isnt even close to a decent representation of how funny the movie is. Many of the memorable jokes come in at the Amish establishment and part "rumslinger" or something like that.

I saw this back in August. Seeing this brings me back so many great memories from the film. I will so see it again this weekend
  • Dan
It sold me with the black dildo. *smacks head* Why must I always make such gay comments?
  • 1 of the Funnest of '08...Seri
clark duke as a ladies man? that's about as convincing as sarah palin as a real vp candidate.

would never waste my money on this.

    cyclops was the best part.
  • jay
i doubt this will "reinvent" the genre; you cant reinvent a genre when youre using tired old songs from the 90s...and a lot of tired cliches. BUT clark is awesome and im sure there WILL be some great laughs.

Hosted anywhere other than Myspace? I can't see the video, I can hear it tho.
  • joshmayhood
This is pretty much what I expect every comedy movie to be like nowadays. That's not a compliment.

    I'm old I guess.
  • That movie look so damn funny. I will defiantly check it out!
  • StarBlazer101
Gentlemen, I think it's time those goddamn chihuahuas got what's comin' to them! That movie has been #1 2 weeks too long. Let's make this movie #1!
  • i'm in !!!

the producers should seriously be thanking slashfilm i tellz ya
  • duvali
this is why i read slashfilm. I'm in.
  • dlb
    Count me sold
  • For anyone who's seen it: Do the jokes dry up about 2/3rds through? Seems like most movies like this are funny for awhile then try to cram a love story in at the end. Seems possible here.
  • Goobity
    I'll wait for DVD.
  • Madt Bassturdt
Yet another "Comedy" I'll be skipping...

Have we stooped so low that all comedies are hour and a half dick jokes now?
  • Ryan
All I want to know, is why is he holding a damn gun in some of the posters? WHY IS HE HOLDING A DAMN GUN?
  • Jordan
looks great! almost like an indie-er superbad. haha. i'll go see it.
  • thanks for the first 10 minutes, now all i need is the rest of the film. im pretty sure ill see this now just because i watched this video.

    thanks again.
  • frank
    dum...same old, same old...
  • Andrew
    That's some funny shit!
  • emily
    completely sold
  • FINALLY! It's taken forever to get another teen comedy worth watching since Clerks and Mall Rats.
  • cellchild
liked the key-mapping and 80-ss spirit
i guess james marsden will be a new gay icon after this. :)))
  • What made Superbad so great was how the characters were treated as real individuals, not charicatures. This clip is just too wacky for me to take it seriously. However, I'll definitely Netflix it come DVD release just for Clark Duke.
  • Dax
Absolutely Hysterical heading out after work. Might not have checked it out with out this.
  • Jake Nelson
    looks funnier than i thought
  • nope
are you commenters kidding me? superbad this is NOT. this looks like garbage! i feel bad for george michael's friend that this is where he's trying to make his big break, and I feel awful for cyclops because his unfunny homophobic jokes, which maybe would have been funny in the 90s when I just hit puberty, are ruining my good image of the actor!
  • Rena
    thats awesome!!
  • AdamRedwoods
This movie was made for a very specific market segment. One that hasn't seen 80's movies, and still has wet dreams. That market segment will enjoy it. The rest, won't.
