The Wrestler Press Conference

Fox Searchlight has released five videos from The Wrestler press conference at the New York Film Festival. A lot of it was covered in our extensive three-part interview with Aronofksy last month (you can read there here, here, and here) but there are some juicy bits that make these worth watching. Plus, its fun to hear Mickey talk about his preparation for the film. Check the videos out after the jump.

Darren Aronofsky talks about the origins of The Wrestler.

Darren Aronofsky and Mickey Rourke talk about wrestling as a sport and the reality of wrestling.

Mickey talks about choreographing fight scenes, often on his own time and without the director’s immediate input.

Mickey Rourke talks about the grueling training he undertook for the film, and the differences between wrestling and his first love, boxing.

Marisa Tomei talks about being a stripper in the film.
