Richard Linklater’s Slacker on Hulu

Richard Linklater’s indie classic Slacker is now available for free steaming on Hulu. Aslo, Kevin Smith, who credits the film as his inspiration for making Clerks, contributed a new written introduction about the film for the hulu blog.

  • Now everyone will have the chance to watch this movie and fall asleep!
  • Great film right on Kevin Smith, an inspiration for another inspiration and so on...
  • Dude, free classic movies are always welcome. God love Al Gore for inventing the internet!!
  • gah
If you really dig Slacker, pick up the criterion box set. Its really well put together and worth the cash.

Why. the. fuck. must Kevin Smith put his dick on EVERYTHING?

    Damnit.

I love Slacker, but i won't watch it with Hungry Man commercials interupting Richard Linklater's 16mm flow of Texas character.

    Tsk, tsk Hulu.
  • I was thinking the exact same thing, I don't really mid Hulu ads but this is absolutely the last movie that can have advert interruptions.

You know what I love about Hulu?

That I'm NOT able to watch it!

    Ok, seriously:

    ...

No, you know what: I'm really p****d off that I'm not allowed to watch this content because I'm not located in the US. Please stop promoting stuff (read: Hulu videos) that's not watchable from everywhere (e.g. Germany) around the world.

    Sorry for the rant,
