Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol Banner

Disney had an exhibition of concept art, paintings, models, and props from Robert Zemeckis‘ 3D performance capture adaptation of A Christmas Carol on display at the presentation earlier today. No photographs were allowed inside the exhibit, but I was able to snap off a photo outside of the first banner for the film. Click on the image above to enlarge.

I have a few friends working on this project. From what I've gathered it should be way beyond what they've done to date with performance capture.
  • I think this is going to be potentially a mesmerising film. One of the great novellas and novellas often make for great movies.

In a way it is Back to the Future part 4; I always thought part 2 had echoes of A Christmas Carol about it and of course Zemeckis's The Polar Express (marvellous in its simplicity I think) sits perfectly alongside it.

Can't wait to see the first concept art for this new RZ movie.
