Tarantino Casts Britney Spears in Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! Remake?!

Update: A rep for Britney Spears is saying the story is false.

All of Quentin Tarantino’s future projects will be cast entirely using horror directors and washed up pop singers…

Last night it was announced that Eli Roth was cast in the World War II film Inglorious Basterds, and now the Telegraph reports that Britney Spears will play a killer lesbian stripper Varla in Tarantino’s remake of the 1965 cult film Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

Now I understand Tarantino made a name for himself by casting against traditional standards, sometimes casting the forgotten Hollywood wash-up. Now it looks like he has set his sights outside the realm of acting, toward the music industry. The film tells the story of three thrill-seeking strippers. Spear’s character murders one member of a couple with her bare hands, and later has sex with another girl. The other two stripper leads have not yet been cast. Maybe Tarantino will sign Amy Winehouse… because, why not?

I don't remember Varla having sex with a girl or anyone for that matter. The most she did was make out with Kirk, but that was it.

By the way, didn't Tarantino say he wanted some porn star to play Varla? I don't know how well her acting skills are but she looked the part more than Spears does.

He's gonna have to raise the hootage quotient with the rest of his casting--for all her beauty when she's on her game, Ms. Spears isn't quite up to Russ Meyer-esque standards.

Who knows maybe she'll actually be a good actress, I haven't seen her in any movies, so I think I'll have to wait and see on this one. Also, I don't see how her weight would affect her from participating in the film.

If you've seen the original then you really shouldn't complain about bad acting because that movie has some of the worst acting ever and I actually think Spears could be better. It's not a very good movie though so I don't know why he wants to remake it.

I've never been a fan of Britney, but I have been rooting for her mental health recovery and hoping she gets her life back on track.

She really can't act, but in a project like this she may not need to have sharp acting skills. This could be a horrible casting choice, but
I'm going to keep an open mind.

I cant say anything yet until i see a trailer or perhaps Tarantino's take on the project. Maybe he's doing something similar to Grindhouse, I liked Deathproof by the way.

I'm as big a Tarantino fan as anyone, bu tI'm not liking these last two casting updates. Comparing Travolta's upside to any Spears potential is a huge stretch. It's just lame, stunt casting.
