As expected, Warner Bros’ The Dark Knight includes a dedication to the late Heath Ledger in the credits. The text will read:

“In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe

For those of you who don’t know, Wickliffe is the special-effects technician who was killed last September in a stunt-car accident on the set of the Batman sequel.

This is how it should be. Good move by all involved.

By the way....does anybody think the Rolling Stone review of TDK is kind of weird? It's almost the same review as the one by Tim Bisley from AICN, even comparing it to the same two movies(Heat has been tossed around already, so thats not a shocker, but it's pretty coincidental that another would also compare it to Godfather 2).
  • Wow, this movie seems like it has a curse on it. We can only hope that it does Heath and Conway justice
  • I plan on wearing a black arm band opening day.
  • livingdots
I plan on punching anybody wearing a black arm band opening day.
  • Joe
I plan on punching livingdots for punching jonny, thus creating a punching line.
  • Stryker
The only thing I find weird about the Rolling Stones review, is that the entire time it is praising the movie, but in the end only gives it 3 & 1/2 stars. I love Peter Travers reviews, but he didn't list a single fault with it, but still took off 1/2 a star for some reason. Oh well, I know I'm still going to love it more than any film that will probably come out this year.
  • JackDurden
When are you going to post your review Peter?
  • Jack: I see the movie on saturday, but will probably be under embargo not to publish a review for a while. But I'm sure you'll see little teasers of my thoughts on the film hidden in the dark knight postings on the site leading up to release
  • The Enchanted One
Peter is lucky lol. TDK will be great and reviews are pretty good so far. =)
  • orange cinema
    first class move.
  • dvq
Peter, i want to be like you when i grow up, oh wait, too late.
  • Optimus Prime
Im stoked about this movie. I've become such a big fan of Ledger's version of Joker I've taught myself how to talk like his version of the Joker. I was reall amazed with myself.
  • edward
that's odd. that picture of heath as the joker was posted before with a different background. where'd you get this peter?
  • B4tS
next year's oscar will dedicated to heath as well.
  • Brian
so are we gonna have any new news
    im so bored

  • Tom

  • Captain Awesome

  • 790
    Nice, Captain Awesome scores !!!!
    I'm so jelous !!!!!!!!
    ^
I'm glad they decided to put the dedication at the end. I think putting it up front would have generated empathy for the Villian and that would have deflated the mojo of the film.
  • Jack
why do we have to wait till the 25th in england?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Sourav
Well, easily the most awaited movie of the year..Nolan had already moved to eal Film Noir with Batman Begins and now with TDk he confirms the doing away with burlesque characterization in the previous Batman flicks which i ever watched!
