Photos From Broken Lizard’s Slammin’ Salmon

/Film photo scooper Christopher M sent us a bunch of photos from the set of Broken Lizard’s Slammin’ Salmon. I’m not a big fan of the improvised comedy style, but i understand that a lot of /Film readers love Broken Lizard, so I’m posting the photos. The film tells the story of a former heavyweight boxing champion named Cleon “Slammin’” Salmon (Michael Clarke Duncan), who is now the owner of a Miami restaurant. Salmon institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night. The winner will earn $10,000, while the loser will endure a beating at the hands of the champ. broken lizard can be hit & miss, butt hefernan is directing this one so it could be a little fresher, as he is the one who has acted under the widest variety of directors. beerfest kinda sucked, so i'm hoping this'll be better.

Peter, not sure how familiar you are with Broken Lizard, but they are not an improvisational comedy troupe, and their films are not improved -- at least, certainly not as much as Judd Apatow's flicks.

yaaa iam with u guys on this one broken lizard is not a improvisational comedy troupe lol i have no idea where u heard that. These guys have there own style and there own following ..from super troopers to beer fest i will watch them too the bitter end ..... i also thought they were gonna doo there next movie based on weed in Amsterdam, cuz at the end of beer fest u see Willie Nelson with bong in hand lol on his way to a smokin contest.

Jay and Steve from from Broken Lizard were on Adam Carolla's radio show the other day, and they said they were writing Pot Fest currently. I think they alluded to doing it after Slammin Salmon and their roman/greek road movie.

People who criticize these guys are dumb. Give them a break, they had their best movie first, Super Troopers was amazing and basically led to the success of Reno 911. Their other movies don't compare to Super Troopers but you know what, they're still pretty entertaining.

I thought Beerfest was awful the first time I saw it.

After many repeated viewings on cable, I think it rivals Super Troopers as their best flick.

Broken Lizard are kool, like scott said you'd have to have a narrow sense of humour to not like their stuff.

I dont think they are improv in the strictest sense, but if they come up with something in the moment they would run with it.
