over the top action sequence that is pretty cool but I am really tired of frickin delivery trucks keeping up with top end sports cars … you get in a UPS truck and I get in a viper … I win =P

A well executed action scene. Bravo. But I’m too old for this shit. Fiction, although being Fiction never should lose credibility. And it does here on so many levels. Too bad, i really liked the first 2-3 minutes.

this looks like it’s going to be a great action comedy, to be sure. but it also looks like it has next to nothing in common with the source material.. which, honestly, isn’t that bad. it’d just play out like hard R Hellboy if it stayed true to its roots.

I got tickets to an advance screening Wed in NYC to Wanted. I might give them away, IDK

Wow the lack of Interest in Get Smart is funnier than the clips I’ve seen.
As for Wanted, I’m not diggin the cast , and the BS factor is high. I can smell that.
Jolie is my kriptonite, and she looks like the victim of a tattoo frat hazing.

I saw Get Smart last night at an early screening.
It was ok…there were some funny parts but they mostly went with obvious jokes and the tone was totally wrong. DISAPPOINTMENT.

That looks nuts. But way better than say anything that was shown in the Death Race trailer the other day, so I reckon this could quite fun.

@ Eric
ZOMG! DO WANT!

is it just me or does james mcavoy has a weird american accent?
June 15th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
It’s really awesome and the humor is quite similar to the comic, but if he is going to scream like that the whole movie…ugh. His voice is so annoying when he screams, it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
June 15th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
that. is. amazing.
June 15th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
That was a sweet sequence. If you’re not liking that, you just might be dead inside.
It’s okay, zombies are cool.

The trailer and even reading the comic had me pretty skeptical as to whether or not this would be worth seeing in the theater, but the 7 minute clip really did sway me. haha, looks completely mindless but legitimately fun

@Coral
If I find someone over 18 to go with me Wed, then I’m taking a ticket. There are two

This clip actually turned my off of the movie a little. Don’t get me wrong, the action was bad ass. The thing that got me was James’ voice. It was soo whiny and annoying. His voice alone makes me want to punch a baby. Angelina’s sounded odd too. Maybe it’s just a mixing problem, and it will be fixed. IDK, but the voices sounded way off and like they shouldn’t belong to those actors. weird.

just watched this again. I love the editting of that sequence. I think the heartbeats and breathing in the sound mix are a nice touch. So much of the film we get fed, has no artistic voice or style, so it’s a great thing when we get something that TRIES to be be something. That alone is what sells me on a movie.
As a former resident, It’s really nice to see this take place in Chicago on streets that are recognizable.

@ fat dave - Vin - Hefty Lefty
I’m with ya.
McAvoy managed two things rarely seen (but not rarely enough) - a British actor doing a bad American accent and what Joel Silver once called The Lorraine Bracco Factor (aka the Lori Petty Factor aka The Tea Leoni Factor).

Wanted.
Me.
Want.

Not to be a negative Nancy, but how does a delivery truck keep up with a Dodge Viper? Just sayin. Still looks cool, but in a “that is impossible, but still kinda cool” way.

Invalid Video ID!!!
June 16th, 2008 at 6:32 pm
WOW that was fast. I watched the 7min of Wanted this morning and it was great…now I’m back for seconds and it has been removed for copyright violation? Did anyone get a rip of this?
June 16th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
I think it’s hilarious that Universal would release a video and then request it to be taken down as a copyright violation.
Miscommunication, perhaps?
