Today, The Incredible Hulk opens in face of months of fanboy speculation (early consensus is quite positive), the looming memory of Ang Lee’s Bruce Banner, M. Night’s worst R-rated movie, and the celebration of Jason Voorhees. We want to hear what you thought of the big budget Marvel/Universal film all weekend long.
Things to consider: Is this the Hulk we’ve been waiting for? Better than Ang Lee’s? Was the CGI up to snuff? Is Edward Norton the definitive Banner? Does Norton have good reason to remain displeased with the film’s editing? How does Louis Leterrier’s film rank against Jon Favreau’s Iron Man and which film did you enjoy more? Is this a better film than Iron Man as some viewers are saying? Was Liv Tyler’s character just another damsel in distress or did she offer something different? Tim Roth, one of the great comic-to-film villains? And what about Captain America? Tony Stark?
Discuss: Worth the wait?

Very good! I was expecting a faster pace…but it managed to live up the hype..now let’s hope “Punisher” & “Wolverine”…keep the quality going
June 13th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
this what the original hulk should have been As of right now Marvel Studios is 2 for 2
June 13th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Hell of a good time. Marvel’s on a roll.
June 13th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Loved it. Saw it last night at a midnight showing. Although I didn’t like Norton as Banner as well as I like Downy as Stark, I felt he did an amazing job at portraying that character. Roth was a star as far as I’m concerned. I enjoyed Blonsky as a villain much more than Stane. I felt he provided a much more charismatic performance. Seeing the fight between the “super soldier” version of him and Hulk got me psyched about Captain America. If that movie is shot in that kind of Matrix-style fighting the Cap will be one amazing hero. Thor has a chance to be more than utter crap with this studio at the helm.
June 13th, 2008 at 1:47 pm
Great Hulk flick. The acting was superb. CGI was 8/10…it was good, just could have been better.
June 13th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
I was supremely impressed with this Hulk. To me, this is what the last movie should’ve been. A Hulk movie should never be about Banner’s daddy issues but rather him smashing the shit out of things!
June 13th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
Did anyone see Cap. America cameo? Where was it?
June 13th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
it rocked. action was awesome, CG wasn’t bad, actors were good, and there was tons of hulk smashing.
June 13th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Good movie. I’d say it was better than Ang Lee’s in an action sense, but I felt that the science and whole gamma thing was really cool in Ang Lee’s. The CGI was really good, not quite believable, but I think The Hulk is a really hard character to bring into live action. Even though Bana did a fine job as Bruce, I liked Norton’s performance more, since I like the actor more I guess. I also did feel something could have been done with the editing to make it flow faster, I don’t know, something was missing. TIH was really good, but I enjoyed Iron Man more, I like the character more and Downey Jr.’s performance was great. TIH had more action than Iron Man (which was my only problem with Iron Man) but on the whole I don’t think it was better.
Tony Stark at the end was great, but where was Cap?! Leterrier said he’d be in the movie, does he mean the theatrical version or the DVD? I know the speculation was that Cpt. America would be in the scene where Banner went to kill himself in the arctic circle, and that scene wasn’t included in the movie, so is he in that scene in the DVD or was Cap actually in the theatrical version, in the opening credits with Fury/Stark Industries?
June 13th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
I liked it. The CGI was meh at best. The actors were great and liv tyler was hot as hell. But I was disappointed when I did not see Captain America. The super soldier abilities look amazing I cant wait till 2011. The cameo by Downey Jr. at the end was pretty awesome.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
i wish iron man had action like this
June 13th, 2008 at 2:04 pm
Was there anything after the credits?
June 13th, 2008 at 2:04 pm
Acting was very good by both Roth and Norton; made the characters really come to life. The action was amazing. Had very intense moments and bone crushing scenes, exactly what the Hulk should be.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
I think this was a ‘better film’ then Iron Man in the sense how this didn’t seem like a fun summer movie to me. It had a lot more of a serious tone. I loved it.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
- Excellent movie. Better than Ang Lee’s attempt.
- Tim Roth steals the show. When he says he’s ready for round 3, I was psyched. The end battle is one of the best comic-to-movie fight scenes of all time.
- CGI wasn’t horrible. You could witness The Hulk’s emotions. Things that The Hulk smashed throughout the film looked fantastic.
- Norton did a fine job, but wasn’t like Downey Jr. Lou’s special appearance was cool, and his signature “HULK SMASH!” was great too.
- Very impressed with the movie. I think the syrum injected was in reference to Captain America. I had a great time at the theater, and it wasn’t just because I got in for free.
- Overall, Iron Man is the better movie, but Hulk isn’t bad at all.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:12 pm
I really enjoyed this. And in answer to the suggested questions:
Is this the Hulk we’ve been waiting for? THERE’S STILL ROOM TO IMPROVE. I LOVED THE FIGHTS AND ACTION, AND THE STORY OF THE FIRST HALF-HOUR WAS REALLY QUITE AWESOME–VERY BORNE IDENTITY. AND THEN STORY SORT OF GAVE WAY TO REALLY FUN ACTION. I’M STILL LOOKING FOR A STORY THAT SATISFIES ALL THE WAY THROUGH AS WELL AS KICK-ASS ACTION. CALL ME PICKY.
Better than Ang Lee’s? DIFFERENT. I’M ONE OF THE FEW WHO LIKED ANG LEE’S. AND FRANKLY, DEPSITE MY COMMENT ABOUT STORY ABOVE, WHEN THE LATEST HULK DID SEGUAY INTO STORY THE AUDIENCE GOT RESTLESS. THEY REALLY JUST WANNA SEE HULK SMASH THINGS.
Was the CGI up to snuff? YUP, I BOUGHT IT FROM BEGINNING TO END. I MEAN, I HAVE NEVER SEEN A REAL 12′ TALL GREEN PERSON, SO WHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO COMPARE IT TO? IT KEPT ME ENGAGED WITHOUT QUESTIONING THE REALITY.
Is Edward Norton the definitive Banner? EDWARD NORTON CAN’T RUN. SO NO. HE RUNS LIKE A VERY UNATHLETIC NERD. SORRY. HE’S A FINE ACTOR, IF SOMEWHAT PLAIN. BUT IT REALLY BUGGED ME WHENEVER THEY SHOWED HIM RUNNING.
Does Norton have good reason to remain displeased with the film’s editing? HUH? I MISSED THAT /FILM HEADLINE I GUESS. EDITING LOOKED GOOD TO ME. IF HE’S CONCERNED THAT SOME STORY GOT CUT OUT, I HOPE HE’S NOT WORRYING ABOUT MORE BORING LOVE SCENES? SPEAKING OF WHICH–WHEN WILL HOLLYWOOD REALLY LEARN THAT WE’D RATHER WATCH LOVE SCENES AT HOME ON OUR COMPUTER WITH FULL PENETRATION, AND WE CAN PROBABLY SKIP THEM ENTIRELY IN A HULK MOVIE.
How does Louis Leterrier’s film rank against Jon Favreau’s Iron Man and which film did you enjoy more? IRON MAN HAD A BETTER STORY. I DIDN’T ATTRIBUTE THIS TO THE DIRECTOR. I ATTRIBUTE IT TO THE UNSUNG WRITERS. I MEAN, THESE FILMS ARE DIRECTED BY COMMITTEE ANYHOW. WITH THAT MUCH CGI, AND ALL THOSE STUNT-FILLED ACTION SEQUENCES, THE DIRECGTOR IS REALLY TAKING A BACK-SEAT. LET’S CALL HIM A GLORIFIED PRODUCTION MANAGER. BOTH “DIRECTORS” DID MANAGE TO MAINTAIN A TONE THAT WAS CONSISTENT AND NEVER GAVE WAY TO CORNINESS. HEY, MAYBE THAT’S WHY MARVEL ISN’T THROWING ITSELF AT FAVREAU’S FEET–MAYBE THEY REALIZE IRON MAN WAS DIRECTED BY COMMITTEE TOO.
Is this a better film than Iron Man as some viewers are saying? NO, IT’S NOT.
Was Liv Tyler’s character just another damsel in distress or did she offer something different? SHE’S REALLY AN INTERESTING ACTOR TO WATCH. SHE HAD A NEAT TAKE ON THE CHARACTER. COMPARE HER TO THE POOR FEMALE LEAD IN “JUMPER” OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, AND LIV TYLER LOOKS POSITIVELY OSCAR WORTHY.
Tim Roth, one of the great comic-to-film villains? HE’S TOO SHORT. SORRY.
And what about Captain America? WHAT ABOUT HIM? DID I MISS SOMETHING? I’M A GEEK, BUT NOT THAT MUCH OF A GEEK.
Tony Stark? NICE SEEN. I WANNA DIRECT AVENGERS, THOUGH. GUESS I’LL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL AVENGERS CHAPTER 7! VISION SHOULD BE THE MAIN CHARACTER.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Helena Mainbasquet,
Fuck you and your caps lock key.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
I agree with Capt Awesome!!!
This movie was great and alot more action than Iron Man overall but the story was a little bit slow in comparison. I think it was ALOT better than Ang Lee’s 2003 version and the Hulk we have been waiting for. It was very Entertaining and I am very excited to see Capt America!!!!
June 13th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Better than Iron Man, but I’m a huge Hulk fan. I was so excited about this…until I learned that Tim Russert died today. Total downer.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:35 pm
I didn’t see the movie yet, but I came in to see what all the shouting was about. Oh, it’s just Helena. Thanks for all of that Mainbizniatch.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
I really like how they included the Weapon Plus tag on the super soldier serum. For those of you who don’t know, Weapon Plus is the program that created Captain America AND Wolverine, so this could give them a way to bring Wolverine in if Fox allows them to.
June 13th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
I really enjoyed it, not as much as Iron Man but I would definitely agree it’s a hit. Edward Norton is a far better Bruce Banner than Bana was, remember Banner is supposed to be a weakling - that’s part of the contrast between him and his hulk persona. I liked Ang Lee’s Hulk but Bana was too big to really be Bruce Banner. Loved the little winks and nods to fans of the comics and old school tv show - the music, the hitchhiking, seeing the Leader be born, all way cool. Felt like the Downey Jr. appearance should have been like the Nick Fury appearance in Iron Man, after credits, not part of the original cut - the movie ended well with Bruce having control over when he hulked out. But overall very good - and thank goodness for no hulkdogs!
June 13th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Super heroes suck, bring on Beverly Hills Cop 4
June 13th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Iron Avenger:
It’s Weapon X, not Plus…!
But nice catch, anyways!
June 13th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
Way more Awesome than ‘Iron Man’
June 13th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
WHERE THE FUCK WAS CAPTAIN AMERICA?
June 13th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
Capt.America Cameo was after the credits, and the whole movie was okay, just same old love story again along with some good action scenes
June 13th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
@ Scott
no capt america after the credits…get your facts straight!!
June 13th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
Yeah, I saw no Cap after the credits either.
I liked the movie, much better than their first attempt.
Liv is too hot.
CGI was fine by me.
June 13th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
is there anything at all after the credits?
June 13th, 2008 at 3:57 pm
great movie, not as good as iron man, but a hell of a lot better than Ang Lee’s failure
June 13th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
It seems Marvel is 2 for 2. I loved it. As good as Iron Man if better. Im more of an action buff.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
yeah, I would like to know whether or not there’s anything after the credits or not, please?
June 13th, 2008 at 4:06 pm
Hello Everyone this was one of Marvels best comic movies I believe it was just as good as Iron Man as far as the cameo from Captain America look towards the end of the movie right after the fight scene when bruce is running towards the forest in colombia look at the upper right hand corner you will see Captain America standing in the corner as if he’s waiting for Bruce. Very good movie The fight scene was amazing along with the CGI was one of the most amazing CGI effects I have ever seen. Lets talk about that fight scene geeeeez has anyone ever seen anything like that. This movie makes Ang Lee’s version dissapear literally I’m still acting like it never existed Marvel has trully reinvented The Hulk everyone involved in the movie was excellent. Norton, Roth, Tyler, The Hulk everyone was amazing big thumbs up. Can’t wait for Thor, Captain America, And finally The Avengers.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
I didn’t see Captain America. Besides that, I like where Marvel’s heading. It would be disappointing if Jon Favreau wasn’t apart of Marvel’s plan. If the studio does it right, and I mean everybody collaborates together for the Avengers, I can see something amazing.
Hulk was well-made. I loved how the Hulk was kept a mystery throughout the opening chase sequences. He was in the shadows etc. They did the same for Tim Roth’s blown up version. Louis Leterrier gets an A+ for tension building!
I love movies, I respect filmmakers ,but Ang Lee did not know what he was doing with Hulk. I respect his films. Lee’s Hulk was something that worked for an original story made for novelty. Then again, those transitions and split screens were distracting times ten.
I partly agree with Norton on editing…the opening. I saw a lot of story at the credits. I started to believe that I was an infant being fed by my parents from a high chair. There could’ve been one scene that sums up or they could’ve dispersed it throughout. What about a nightmare concerning his disastrous test and once Bruce turns green cut to the present.
Also the caption “# of day from incident” was annoying. Cut out completely.
It was fun. I had a great time. Tony Stark’s appearance was a lot of fun! The new Hulk is another win for Marvel.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:13 pm
This movie was awesome. “Hulk Smash” that is what it suppose to be not Ang Lees version. The only problem was CGI though way better then the trailers I thought good have been better. But, then again how real can a fictional green giant monster be.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
Captain Awesome Says:
June 13th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
Helena Mainbasquet,
Fuck you and your caps lock key.
I agree. Fuck you.
Going to see this movie tonight…
June 13th, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Screw Ang Lees version this is Hulk. Anyone who has known and read the Hulk knows its about the monster and rage inside. The havoc and chaos. Its about “Hulk Smash” and not Ang Lee’s artistic bull.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
If you like Ang Lee’s movie then this is probably not the movie for you and you are probably not a true Hulk fan. If you didn’t like Ang Lee’s movie then go watch this cause it is AWESOME. Marvel has done it for the 2nd time in a row.
June 13th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Maaaaaan, this rendition of the “Hulk” was truly INCREDIBLE! I’m going back to see it again tonight. And I agree with some of the others that it undoubtedly had one of the best climactic battles of comic book characters of all time. I also felt that the CGI was damn near perfect, right up there with LOTR’s Gollum and King Kong! Those 3 hold the fort down for best fully CG characters in my opinion. He looked as REAL as it could get, was that ILM that did the effects for that film? Plus tonally, I LOVED where the director took it, it was serious, dark and it made you feel for Bruce. Personally, I actually enjoyed it more than “Iron Man” (the end-battle was not as good as it could have been), however, Marvel Studios is most def 2 for 2!
June 13th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Amen!
June 13th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
I thought it was fantastic, almost as good as Iron man. Edward Norton and Tim Roth were very good but they didnt have Robert Downey Jr’s presence in the movie, Downey really stands out when he comes on in the end. People waited to the end of the credits and were disapointed that nothing else came on after them. I am going to see it again this weekend and try to spot Captain America, but if I dont that will give me the excuse to see it again and again,
June 13th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
I also liked the way they put Bill Bixby and Lou ferrigno into the pic.
June 13th, 2008 at 5:16 pm
It was very solid. Tim Roth was the highlight.
Liv Tyler is ugly, but they made her up enough for it to be okay.
Excellent cinematography too.
And Tony Stark’s cameo was executed much better than Nick Fury’s.
June 13th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
i think the movie is good, but nowhere near as iron man, jus wait for batman and hellboy, i felf hulk was missing somthin, jus cant pinpoint on at the moment
June 13th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
BHC 4
June 13th, 2008 at 5:23 pm
I like it better than iron man. Maybe because the hype for iron man was way higher than this movie, so that when I watched Iron Man, my expectation was so high.
Edward Norton did a damn good job. About the CGI, did anybody notice that when Liv Tyler sat beside Hulk in the cave; her eyes did not meet with the hulk as if she’s talking with no one. I found it quite funny somehow.
Anyway, great movie!
June 13th, 2008 at 5:32 pm
i really liked this film, i liked how they managed to twist the story at the ending to tell the audience he is after all a super hero saving the world (NYC) from Abomination instead of some pissed off green monster. 9/10.
June 13th, 2008 at 5:48 pm
It’s not “just as good as Iron Man” (similar) as the promos have been touting, but it’s still very enjoyable. I wouldn’t say Norton is the “definitive” Banner, but he’s certainly a high step up from Bana (who should really stick to comedy more).
June 13th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
so is that it confirmed, nothing after the credits?
June 13th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
@tino
People, read this!
I need confirmation.
People, please take a screen shot, i am so pissed it missed CA!
damn, i was eyes pealed the whole time, i even sat through the credits!
Anyone seeing this movie, when its after the fight, when Bruce is running, LOOK AT TOP RIGHT, JUST TAKE A PICTURE PLEASE, I NEED TO KNOW IF CA IS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks so much to who delivers!
June 13th, 2008 at 6:04 pm
Hulk smash puny Iron Man
June 13th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
IS CAP IN THIS FILM OR NOT ?????
some saw him, some did’nt see him………….
WHATS THE SCOOP???
June 13th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Hulk was awesome way better then the first one the question i have is what happened to mr blue? After tim roth knocked him to the ground he had a cut on his forhead and the super surem got into his cut and his head started getting bigger lol. Looks like he will become the Hulk villain named Leader?
June 13th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Quick review:
1) Better than the last Hulk movie..by FAR.
2) Still not an “excellent” comic movie, BUT very entertaining.
3) Cast/acting was good.
4) CGI was OK, but definitely had its moments.
5)Not too long/short- just right in length.
Summary: I liked it very solidly. Not as good as Iron Man or Speed Racer, but overall, a great comic/summer movie. I came out of the theater satisfied.
June 13th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
The Captain America cameo was in a scene that was cut out, according to Leterrier.
June 13th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
Man am i the only one who wanted a bit of Ironman vs Hulk action? or the Hulk Buster?
But solid movie overall.
June 13th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Personally i liked ang lee’s hulk just because its the Hulk, but this new Hulk blows it outta the water. Makes it look like it belong in comarison to the spiderman, ironman and xmen movies and makes the old one look like it belongs in the trash can with the daredevil and ghost rider movies. BITCHIN movie all the way.
June 13th, 2008 at 7:55 pm
I’m really glad this was under hyped. I believe I enjoyed it more because of that. Very good, very solid. Keep em coming and keep em good Marvel.
June 13th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
It’s not Iron Man by any stretch of the imagination (by the way, Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark, plain and simple), but it is a decent night at the movies. I gave it 3.5 out of 5, but come back to me in a few months, or maybe a year and ask me what I thought. It washed out the sour taste of the Ang Lee ‘abomination’, but it still lingers in the back of my memory. After seeing it tonight, I was like most critics - it is ten times better then the original conception of the comic book character. It still lacks the proper mix of comedy and action like Iron Man, but hopefully over time this can be resolved. P.S. I didn’t see Captain America. For awhile I thought it was MR. BLUE but it turned out I was wrong. MR. BLUE will be the next Hulk villain.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Wow. I’m really surprised to hear the universal praise for the movie.
I thought it was better than Daredevil, but that’s about as far as I’d go in terms of the comic book movie spectrum. Maybe on par with X3, which is really pretty disappointing and forgettable.
I thought the writing was really poor. The trio of Norton, Hurt, and Roth were wasted. The action scenes were a little tedious. Tyler was a complete non-factor. It was incredibly mediocre. It all seemed like a big waste to reboot the franchise with such a lack-luster effort. How anyone could say this is even in the same league as Iron Man is beyond me. Iron Man ranks right up there with X2 and Spiderman 2, in terms of being at the absolute best of comic book movies behind only Nolan’s Batman.
I liked the first chase scene in Brazil, but that’s about it. It just seemed really thin.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
4 out 5 A
i thought it was a good spend of money, a success for marvel, an action packed movie, and loved all the easter eggs(the leader getting his blood mixed on his head), i have to say the cgi wasnt great but again the action made up for it. acting was great especially ross but loved norton as always. it rippd ang lees movie in pieces much beter in villians action and plot though they were very similar. now was it the one we were waiting for ,not neccesayily, it was good dont get me wrong but they were some things that could have been better like expaining the orgin than showing in montage.i will have to see the cut scenes but im preety sure they cut some good stuff(like the cap scene).
but overall good work on cgi and hope theres as second.
got to admit i tought mr blue could somehow be captain america
June 13th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
Bring on the next Marvel Superhero because this was AWESOME. Marvel is 2 for 2.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
At first I thought Mr. Blue might be Reed Richards. Cementing that thought was the package was being sent to New York. Heck, it could have been Peter Parker or Curt Connors, too.
I love the easter eggs scattered throughout the film. Tim Roth’s character was such a gung-ho douche-nozzle…I better stop there, because I’m ready to go into spoiler territory.
Stark is James Bond with cooler toys…and isn’t afraid to snort coke off the ass of a passed out hooker. ROLE MODEL, BABY!
June 13th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
Now that the movie has come out many critics are bashing it for being to full of action and not enough story (WTF). I say dont listen to them critics never know shit they love artistic bull like Ang Lee crap but not a great comic movie when it there. Go see this it is Awesome. Bring on a sequel. Though CGI could be better thats the only complaint.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
umm.. I liked both versions.
Some good sequences in this new film. I’m surprised nobody recognizes te greatness that is William Hurt. Once upon a time, I don’t think he would have ever done a film like this. He’s a great actor and is great in his role here.
There were a few key plot points that happen toward the end that involve questionable (inconsistent?) character motivations. I’m not sure I really bought into that, but it can be dismissed easily enough. I just wish they worked those things out a little better.
Otherwise, this is the smash ‘em up everybody probably wants.
Well,… besides the omission of Liv Tyler nudity.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
CONFIRMED: At least where I watched the movie (Cinemark in American Fork, UT midnight showing) there is NOTHING after the credits. Zip, zero, nada. I kinda wish they had put Tony Stark there instead right at the end - not sure why. Sense of anticipation I guess? Everybody in the theater stayed to see if there was anything and most were a bit disappointed.
June 13th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
Incredible. This film takes the “super hero” fight to a new dimension. As good as Spiderman (1) was and Ironman, this film surpasses all from a level of intensity, originality and no holds bar action. The Incredible Hulk not only satisfies every expectation a viewer and fan would hope and expect but exceeds it. This film for a number of reasons is the best Marvel effort, period!
June 13th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
I like Ang Lee’s version! But i just saw this new version last night and it was pretty awesome! “HULK SMASH!” the CGi was still a CGi! I was hoping that they’d make something much cool if they blend some real stuff on hulk not full CG to make it more realistic. anyway the two films was both good and have different touch. What makes the new one awesome? STAN LEE was in it!
June 13th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
I’m a sucker for the action. Drama is a turn off for me. So this requel delivered perfectly!
June 13th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
who ever thinks that cap is in the running scene at the end is stupid. ive watched multiple times there is nothing up in the right hand corner. everyone dont waste your time on stupid ass remarks. Leterrier said he was going to release the scene on the internet in the weeks following the release of the movie. he said that the scene was too dark because of the content. you can have banner show up in the artic circle and talk to cap. if you cut the suicide scene that is exactly what it was going to be. people are just seeing what they want to see. believe me i wanted to see cap there but hes not.
June 13th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
Not as good as Iron Man, not as good as Batman Begins. This movie presented what was expected:
-two green giants battling it out and kickin’ the crap out of each other.
-one green dude kickin’ the crap out of some Army base people and tanks and stuff
Iron Man was much better, and gave us something unexpected.
Much better than the first Hulk, but no where near as good as Iron Man.
The best part of the movie?
-HULK SMASHHHHHH
June 13th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
the hulk clapped fire out.
June 13th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
I am way late on pointing this out but whoever said that Weapon X developed Wolverine and Captain America is wrong… it was the Weapon Plus program. Captain America was the fist and Wolverine was the tenth attempt at a Super soldier. Roman numeral for 10 is X… hence Weapon X. Yes, i know how nerdy this makes me. And the fact that tag was in the movie got me all comic-nerd giddy.
Oh yeah, and i thought the movie was a really strong second outing for Marvel studios. 2 for 2 in my book.
June 13th, 2008 at 10:45 pm
i loved the ending when tony stark walks in the room he said im going to make a army you in. i got exited
June 13th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
i never seen hulk the first so i really understand that movie it wwas awsome hulk and iron man are going to team up in the iron man2.YYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAA
June 13th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
+
I saw Capitan America. When Roth’s character fought Hulk in human form; that is what you can expect from The Captain…a super soldier in action.
Additionally, I liked the Bill Bixby cameo; nicely done.
+
June 13th, 2008 at 11:15 pm
Just got back. I didn’t see (and I probly wasn’t looking hard enough) Captain America at the end when Bruce is running in Columbia.
HOWEVER, I saw something maybe nothing that was very subtle. When Tim Roth is looking in the mirror, you see his spine start to punch through his skin. It then cuts to a dark scene outside a hanger where you see silhouettes of soldiers walking toward a chopper. One of the soldiers is holding something round at shoulder height (size of a shield). It isn’t a close-up and it is practically black and white.
Lemme know if I am crazy but only one of the soldiers was holding something shaped like this.
June 13th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
wow. just wow.
June 14th, 2008 at 12:32 am
This movie is just one more stepping stone to bringing the Avengers movies and the Marvel Universe into greatness, when comes to comic book movies. Edward Norton is amazing actor and he doesn’t let us fans down. I am going to say there were thing that brought it down a couple of notches. The biggest of which was the final battle, the battle itself was awesome but how it ended sucks. I do recommend and it is very entertaining it’s just it had potential and could have ended better. Listen to The Movie Blog Pod Cast for more in depth opinions at http://www.themovieblog.com/ Most of what these three have to say is along the same feelings I have for the film. Until next time God bless and happy movie hunting.

you guys are crazy. the general had zero personality and charisma, ditto for liv tyler, and the dialog was more than a little meh. this movie was saved by some excellent action sequences, but could have been much better. not even close to iron man, but still much better than a lot of super hero movies (like x3, daredevil, superman returns)
June 14th, 2008 at 1:16 am
Few things:
CGI was surprisingly good. People need to stop bitching about ‘meh’ CGI and marvel at how realistic the skin and textures look.
Anyway, the big issue: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ABOMINATION?!? Hulk didn’t kill him, but he can’t shrink back to human form so what did they do? Haul him off to jail?!
June 14th, 2008 at 1:38 am
It was a solid movie, but definitely not IronMan. I didn’t really care about Banner in Hulk as I did Stark in IronMan. A little more action in exchange for long exposition would have been nice. I don’t get what’s the fuss about Tim Roth. He was extremely annoying and short, and there was no real reason for him to fight and hate things so much. His actions seemed really unmotivated. But the action was pretty awesome. That, and Hulk claps a fire out. That buffness deserves mention.
June 14th, 2008 at 1:48 am
When the Hulk clapped out the fire on the downed chopper, people in the theater actually started one-clapping like him and laughing.
June 14th, 2008 at 2:57 am
i felt that it wasn’t as good as Ang Lee’s Hulk. While i might be in the minority in this, i felt that Ang Lee pushed the amount emotional and intelligent storylines thats rarely seen in comic book movies to the point where its amazing to watch
The Incredible Hulk on the other hand, pushes more action and fast paced fight scenes rather then following the approach Ang Lee took. I think this sort of lowers the quality of the movie in my opinion
June 14th, 2008 at 4:04 am
huh……
still bet Dark knight is gonna make this look like just loud but empty noise :P
June 14th, 2008 at 4:46 am
The one thing that Ang Lee’s Hulk has going for it is that Hulk fought tanks and fighter jets instead of Hummers.
But, the new Hulk fought an actual villain at the end, instead of a metaphor of his father.
June 14th, 2008 at 5:03 am
comparing Hulk and Ironman, Ironman had pretty much a solid and even pace while Hulk had more of an up-and-down pace where the action pieces were really amazing, while the drama sequences were dragging a bit (I dunno why Ed Norton is bitchin about the cut of drama sequences… becuase those were the parts that brought the movie down)
another aspect is the casting… every character in Ironman was perfectly casted, but this one… I just can’t connect with Ed Norton as Bruce Banner… he is too skinny, he is not nerdy enough (where the fuck were Bruce Banner glasses??). He is a great actor, no denying on that, but he is NOT Bruce Banner… (Eric Bana was one of the few high points of the original)
and the CG, it was solid… the only thing that hurt the CG look was the quality of the Hulk model and his skin shader (sorry.. I’m gonna go technical) the texturing/lighting was pretty well done (especially since the trailers… like I literally was showing one of my CG friends a shot from the trailer that had a bad lighting which was fixed in the final cut) but I have to say that Abomination looked a lot better than Hulk (model and shader wise)
The sequence in the end with the chase in the streets (all-cg) was really amazing and well-done. Also most of the shots involving Hulk and his interaction with environment were really good (except the walk on the water/puddle seq)
anyway, overall it was really well-done and solid movie (pretty much on par with Ironman for me, niether which are my fav of the summer movies upto now)
PS. Louis Lettreier is a fuckin good action director
June 14th, 2008 at 8:41 am
Where/who was the Bill Bixby cameo in this movie? I know he played the original Bruce Banner in the television series, but I’ve only saw limited footage of that from featurettes, I never watched the show….
June 14th, 2008 at 9:29 am
@ Nelace:
Remember when Bruce was flipping through channels at the beginning of the film? There was one clip of an episode from a tv show called “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father” which starred Bill Bixby. The show aired from 1969-1972 on ABC, and was actually quite lovely (and lovable).
June 14th, 2008 at 10:20 am
dudes i’m gonna guarantee you that captain america is in the end scene everyone just watch the upper right hand corner you can’t see it all that clear but he is there trust me just watch out i hope that the people at slashfilms take a look at this because he really is there its like he was waiting for bruce banner or something and no one knows whos cabin bruce banner was in at the end of the movie
June 14th, 2008 at 10:23 am
i mean come on whos cabin was he in at the end of the movie remember that bruces father was experimenting right around when captain america was invented so maybe bruce has known about captain america all along so that probrably whos cabin he was in think about it. Take a quick look at that scene he’s there and remember the director said he might be there and then again he might not but trust me hes there hope slash films gives me credit for this
June 14th, 2008 at 11:14 am
this movie was great. i think that the army could have been in a little less. every seen i saw was army but aside from that it was great. i was so glad that there wasent as many love seeens i mean to me i want a good guy and a bad guy kicking the crud out of eachother not 200 kisses. but other than that the movies great, the storeyline is great and the actors where great. now iron man and hulk marvel moves are dooing great!!!!!!
June 14th, 2008 at 11:25 am
i thought it was a really solid adaptation. i felt the story was a bit lacking, and in the end i think a combination of the two hulk movies would have been the best overall movie.
also…
did anybody notice the e-mail address for mr. blue?
sst3rns62
impressive the lengths marvel are going to tie that universe together. also another fine job of acting from stan lee.
June 14th, 2008 at 11:26 am
Not sure about this film. Just got back from watching it. Ed good, Liv Tyler had nothing to work with but the punch up at the end was pretty impressive. I’ve always thought the least interesting thing about the Hulk was the inevitable getting-angry-punch-up: there’s only one way for the story to go.
The Mrs. loved it though.
June 14th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
the scene where they were gonna make love was hilarious lol!
BRING ON THE LEADER FOR HULK 2!!!!!!!!!!!
June 14th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
Hell Yeh bring on Hulk 2 this is the way Hulk should be fast paced action back mayhem and destruction. Hulk Smash!!!
June 14th, 2008 at 3:14 pm
good movie. I’m really glad they skipped through the origin.
June 14th, 2008 at 3:15 pm
more action than the first hulk, and a better performance from liv than jennifer,
but while hulk had a comic book look to him, ang hulk was more realistic, in movement and action.
to sum up, anghulk smart, louhulk fun.
June 14th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
one thin I would have loved is if after grover, cookie monster appeared on screen and banner saw him eating a cookie and generally being a monster, and he changes the channel again - disturbed by cm
June 14th, 2008 at 4:23 pm
I loved the geek references to the tv show, Culver Institute/University, origin story, scene with Bill Bixby, and the Jack McGee character. Wished McGee could have had a larger role.
June 14th, 2008 at 4:50 pm
IH kicked fucking ass. I was skimming the comments and was amazed at how much nitpicking is going on. Action wise this Hulk can’t be messed with.
Norton as Banner was an excellent choice. I was surprised that I actually liked the Abomination as the main villain.
June 14th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
It’s appropriate that Hulk looks like a big dirty green turd, because that’s all the movie can amount to in the end. Play the video game instead, people. Same thing.
June 14th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
I really hope Ed comes back and does the Hulk again because he made an excellent Banner. Unfortunately, it seems like that might be a stretch with this feud with Marvel.
June 14th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
I agree, with Gah would love Norton to comeback for Hulk 2 but it seems after 2 great Marvel movies Marvel is now ******* (Messing) things up. Screwing Jon F. and now Norton. It is a pity. Loved the Hulk action packed like it should be.
June 14th, 2008 at 5:41 pm
As good as Iron Man - different - but just as good. Marvel Studios is 2 for 2!!!
June 14th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
Just came back from watching it and I thought it was a great movie, action was fast paced and exciting, the drama part was
nice, even funny at times(the bedroom scene). The one thing I
wish they could havedone was make the hulk jump like he did
in the first movie. The CG was as solid as could be makeing a
10 foot tall green man on steroids, and I thought Ed Norton did
a great job as Banner, looked geeky enough to pull of the doctor
look and not a big buff guy, Liv was sexy and played a very good
betty. Eli Roth was great as the bad guy, I thought it was great
to see him change from good soldier boy to evil power hungry
abomination. I didn’t like that the hulk got cut up and scratched
by regular weapons, at least Lee’s hulk he healed himself on the
one and only time he got cut. Overall great movie to see, not
as good as Iron Man but still a great film. Marvel is 2 for 2 so far.
regular weapons, can see how abomination would/could cut him.
June 14th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
Okay first of all way more exciting, adventourous, and awseome than ang lees disgusting, boring movie.
It was fun and exciting with non stop action, better than iron man and love how it ends.
great job with abomination, monster like and human like
what youll see: (trust me)
you wont see captain america because the original script showed him frozen when bruce would try to kill himself in the artic but since the original script was too long marvel had to cut stuff out (captain americas scene)
you will see the blue liquid that gives caps his powers
youll see the leader in human mode and starting to become the huge brained monster
you will also see tony stark
they will talk about captain america
oh and don stay at the end nothing happens
as i said before trust me on this one and…
have fun
June 14th, 2008 at 6:57 pm
I really loved it. I’ve been a fan of Norton’s for years and when I heard he was doing this I was a bit concerned. But I saw the film last night and was very impressed. I’m definitely looking forward to the dvd release though to see some of the stuff that Marvel cut. I think the deeper character development stuff adds alot and makes it better movie overall, the action was sweet but knowing the internal character issues before the action makes you connect more with the character.
I think Iron Man was a funner movie to watch. Downey Jr. was amazing. But Tony Stark and Bruce Banner are alot different personality wise and so I’d say Stark is more fun to watch, but I’m more interested in Banner and his internal conflicts and such.
June 14th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
dont foget youll see lou ferigno and hear him to
June 14th, 2008 at 7:18 pm
The Incredible Hulk is awesome. This the way it should be. Ang Lee’s version is crap. Loved the action thats what Hulk is about. Thats why he is different from some other characters. This and Iron Man is probably my favorite Marvel movies.
June 14th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
I Loved It.
It’s cool how Marvel is preparing for The Avengers with each new movie.
Also, t the beginning, a letter flashes that’s from Nick Furry, wonder what it said :)
Also, Captain America is “Mr. Blue” or Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson) I believe.
June 14th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
I don’t want to start a riot, but what the hell are you guys talking about??? This film was mediocre at best. It does not even come within a billion miles of iron man. The cgi left a lot to be desired. And the big shocker here is this: Blonsky was 1,000 times cooler BEFORE he turned into Abomination. Obviously, this was better than the incredible flop that ang lee made, but this film was still a load of meh. Tim Blake Nelson almost turning into The Leader gave me blue balls. The joke Ross made to Stark about how he always wears “nice suits” was the only thing that made me smile during this film.
June 14th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
I’m not really a Hulk fan, I haven’t seen the first movie, and my expectations were low to moderate. With that said, I was VERY IMPRESSED by this Hulk film. The action seemed a little lackluster, but the screenplay and acting were top-notch. I highly recommend going to see it.
June 14th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
So glad Liv Tyler wasn’t ever the “damsel in distress.” She just served as a control for Norton.
HUZZAH FOR THE ROBERT DOWNEY JR. CAMEO! (Only he should’ve been on screen more.)
June 14th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Oh and THANK GOD he didn’t say “HULK…SMASH!” every two seconds like in the comics. I was very glad that he stayed silent for the most part while fighting.
June 14th, 2008 at 10:35 pm
I was truly….what is a good word? ASTONISHED! The story was a go right from the opening scene and never stopped, the characters development were just right, and the film never for once dropped it’s pace. I was bitting my lip from having to curse or yell as when I’m watching boxing and I’m sure most of you were the same way, this was intense and it was great to spot the little easter eggs. Don’t stay to the end of credits, trust me, I stayed till they should the rating screen of the film; Nothing there, and certainly no Captain America. As for this individual people claim is in the frame at the end of the movie outside of the cabin….I take it no one saw that little easter egg that showed Banner’s record of people he has associated with? Rick Jones’ name was on that list, and everyone who has ever picked up a HULK comic knows that was his sidekick/friend. If I had to guess, that’s who I would put money on.
June 14th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
lou ferrigno is the man.
June 14th, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Everything up until the helicopter crashing into Hulk was rad. After that, I felt like I was playing a video game. Big ol “eh” for the Thumb.
June 14th, 2008 at 11:44 pm
Just got back and I loved it! I think most everything has been said. It’s hard to get everything that you want in a two-hour movie but I think they did a great job. I also expected great action sequences, after all this is the same guy that did Transporter, right? There were funny moments (you won’t like me when I’m hungry and I can’t get that excited, lol) unexpected and appreciated. Loved the cameos. I’m surprised no one commented on the Portuguese, which was terrible with the exception of the jujitsu instructor (who is also well-known, awesome) and the mailman, lol. But it by no means ruined it for me. I think people will find things not to like if they’re looking for them but overall it was awesome, imo. Didn’t see Cap and nothing after the credits here either.
June 15th, 2008 at 12:40 am
Marvel is 2 for 2. Norton plays up the very emotional aspects of Bruce, which makes him a more adoring character then Stark. But then again, Stark flies around in a suit of armor which is just a metaphor for his life…
Captain America’s cameo was cut out. He’s still frozen in the Marvel movie time line. Part of what the Avenger’s storyline will involve, is unfreezing Cap from the Attic ice.
Samuel Sterns, for you non comic book nerds, is The Leader, a future Hulk archenemy. No doubt the next film will star Tim Blake Nelson, and I can’t wait.
When Stark shows up at the end (and yes, they should have waited until after the credits), he mentions that “we are putting together a team”. The we, as part of Marvel movie comics time line should only mean SHIELD and Stark.
As for the future Avenger’s movie, I’m guessing the plot will derive elements of the Ultimate’s first run, as many of the pieces are being set in motion. The line-up will read as Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, possibly Thor (excellent script BTW), and Giant-Man and Wasp. Of course the inclusion of Spider-Man or Wolverine is not out of the question either.
Suffice to say, the next few years in comic book movies are going to be somewhat a golden age.
June 15th, 2008 at 1:16 am
Completely, man! It was so true and dear to its roots. It had such little details for the hardcore fans but still enjoyable for an average ignorant movie goer. I love how Iron Man, this one, and others will all be connected to the avengers, but don’t appreciate marvel pushing out so many fucking movies at once
Slow the fuck down guys, take it easy. The money will be made!
It was a great movie, loved it loads, can’t wait to see it tank the happening
June 15th, 2008 at 2:46 am
I loved it, it was much better than Cats. I’m going to see it again, and again.
June 15th, 2008 at 5:27 am
I don’t know. What happened to Rick, the Bomb and the original story line. I know it’s hard to put an A Bomb test in a 2008 movie, but I’m sure it could’ve been done. And the CGI…I’m starting to get sick of it. There’s a certain amount that’s good, but after that..? Ever hear of less is more and more is less?
I will say it was light years better than the first one. I can’t believe how bad and further from the original story that was! Anything would have been better then that piece of crap!
I’m old enough to remember when Marvel first hit the stands and what a revolution it caused. That’s why I’m so emotional about keeping the old storyline close. ‘Nuff Said!
June 15th, 2008 at 7:19 am
How can anyone compare this movie to Ang Lee’s hulk? That was horrible and boring and a disgrace to the hulk. Eric Bana was a horrible choice for Banner, he’s supposed to be skinny and geeky anyway. This take is far better. Oh and stop complaining about cgi, that’s as good as it gets for making a big green guy look real. We don’t have to technology yet to satisfy you cgi critics. Would you prefer a muscle builder painted green? Or perhaps a guy wearing a huge muscle suit? Geez just appreciate a movie for what it is. And about keeping the old storyline: bad idea. This is not a remake, it’s a reboot. Kind of like batman begins. It just works. If they told the same story again would that the interesting?
June 15th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Well, I thought it was terrible.
I don’t care if the final showdown between Hulk and Blonsky was worth it or not, if the film can’t sustain my interest up until that moment then it’s still a bad movie.
Let me start by saying that the CGI was absolutely terrible — not just the Hulk’s, but the helicopters and destruction too. There were times when I felt as though I was watching a cutscene from a video game or something. It’s 2008 people, even the first Spider-Man film looked better than this and that was made nearly six years ago.
The dialogue… wow, that was LAUGHABLY bad. Now, I’m not really criticizing the writing here. Perhaps I could excuse the flimsy script if the acting was up to par, but with Tim Roth the only cast member not acting like a robot it really wasn’t easily excusable. Liv Tyler completely butchered the character of Betty Ross, and I was really disappointed in Mr. Norton, whose stone-faced portrayal of Bruce Banner made me cringe and actually long for the mediocre Eric Bana. The delivery is what truly killed the film for me. “Can I still use my lip gloss?” “Yes, you can still use your lip gloss.” Yes, this is written as a joke, but the final product sounds more like it’s being read at a casual table reading then on camera and in an actual film.
The editing… God, I have to agree with Norton on this one: Atrocious. The camera cut to different scenes at unpredictable and completely random times, in many instances right in the middle of conversations and usually leaving much to be desired:
“Why can’t we just go back and talk to General Ross about this?”
“THEY WANT TO MAKE IT A WEAPON.”
*cut away*
I mean, seriously? SERIOUSLY? I’m not making this up, people. Embarrassing.
Whoever said that the cinematography was good… I actually agree with you on this one. That was probably the most redeeming quality for the film. The opening chase sequence coupled with the initial reveal of the Hulk, shrouded in shadow and smoke from the factory was truly amazing and my favorite scene. Everything else, though… eh. Eh eh eh eh.
Needless to say, I walked out of the film early (along with half the theater). This movie epitomizes the unnecessary remake/reboot. You can’t make a Hulk movie without it looking and feeling incredibly fake. In their determination to make a blockbuster action movie, it would appear that the filmmakers forgot to make an interesting one.
June 15th, 2008 at 10:19 am
I enjoyed it. I was no Iron Man or Batman but it was good and far better than the majority of comic book movies. I even liked the CGI for the most part - only 2 scenes really looked bad. And the acting on Norton and Roth’s parts was very good.
Overall a pretty decent film but not one of the best.
June 15th, 2008 at 11:23 am
Mr. E is a dumbass. I highly doubt half the theater walked out.. Maybe you walked and people were going to the rest room and so you exagerrated you overcrittical prick. It’s because of people like you that people are pessimistic about movies and look for its flaws instead of just enjoying it.
June 15th, 2008 at 11:23 am
I saw the movie last night. Any scene with the Hulk was amazing. It was obviously computer animated, but come on, did anyone really expect graphics that would change how CGI is used forever? No. The Hulk looked amazing. Someone dumb above said it looked worse than Spider man 1, that guy must have gone to a really crappy movie theater. It looked good to me, the detail was incredible.
That being said, any scene with Norton and Tyler was borderline painful. She is cute, but she is the most annoying girlfriend ever, it was awful. Roth was badass, they limited his role more than I initially believed they would but he still came out as a sick bad guy.
In the end, I was entertained throughout the entire movie, but whenever they tried to make it a love story, I just wanted to see more Hulk. If you are a huge superhero movie fan, you won’t be disappointed. Otherwise, see it in a matinée.
June 15th, 2008 at 11:28 am
@Bigelow
completely agree with you. i was a really fun movie.
June 15th, 2008 at 11:32 am
I liked it a lot. It captured the real spirit of the comics. Norton played Banner perfectly, like some goofy scientist on the run. Best scene was the fight at the university. I really hope Captain America is just like that. Oh, and who caught them flashing Nick Fury in the beginning?
June 15th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
I agree with Frank. Mr. E is a dumbass, I never seen half a theatre walk out in even the worst of movies and this movie was awesome. Mr. E probably was one of those people who already made up his mind before he saw the movie and thinks every movie that comes out should bring something new and revolutionary like almost every other movie critic out there. This movie was great. Hulk is suppose to “Smash” and be filled with action thats what makes him different from other superhero characters. Marvel is 2 for 2.
June 15th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Oh right, sorry guys. It seems I have a problem getting hung up on things nobody really cares about, like how good the acting is and how well the film is made. I’m such an old person.
June 15th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
Loved it, though Liv Tyler didn’t need to whisper every single line.
June 15th, 2008 at 3:11 pm
I’ve actually yet to see the movie myself, but I don’t understand the CGI bashing here. How do people expect the Hulk to look on the big screen? The Hulk, as an entity, is very much partially human, so, next to actual human beings, how on earth is it going to stand up, what with it being GREEN and all?! I just don’t comprehend. What, would you like Lou Ferrigno painted green, instead?
June 15th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
It wasn’t JUST the Hulk that had bad CGI. There were also quite a few embarrassing helicopters and even some of the gunfire looked low-budget. Just my opinion, people.
June 15th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Well, like I said, I hven’t actually seen it yet, so I’ll reserve critique till after the movie. But I overlooked the comments on the helicopters and gunfire and greenscreen-evidence. If that is the case though, then fair enough, the cgi deserves to be knocked.
June 15th, 2008 at 6:48 pm
Mr. E, I respectfully disagree. It was clearly not your cup of tea or half of the other people you saw it with. I liked it quite a bit and rank it third among my favourite superhero films. I thought that the whole cast delivered wonderful performances, especially Edward Norton and Tim Roth. I will agree with you that the CGI was not that great, but then it could be argued that any CGI in a live action film, not done by Industrial Light and Magic, needs improvement.
June 15th, 2008 at 7:00 pm
I looked thru all the comments and I don’t see anyone making a referance to the “Leader”?? When the Dr. (Mr Blue) gets the gamma blood on his head and he smiles and his head starts to get big. That would be a sign that if there is a sequel that the baddie would be the Leader.
Could be cool, we’ll see.
