Watch a Scene from Pixar’s WALL-E

WALL-E

A new video clip from Pixar’s WALL-E was shown during ABC’s airing of Finding Nemo. The scene involves Eve placing our favorite little trash compacting robot in a shuttle back to earth. But things aren’t as they first appear, and WALL-E ends up in explosive situation. Sigourney Weaver makes a cameo as the voice of the space shuttle computer. Thanks to /Film Reader Kevin for sending this us the clip.

Sorry, Disney has asked me to remove the video clip. I’m sure it will turn up on YouTube. You can watch some our previous WALL-E Clips at the following links:

You’ve seen WALL-E encounter a vacuum, a magnet, a Hula Hoop, headphones and bouncy balls. Disney has just provided us with an exclusive clip of WALL-E’s encounter with a Fire Hydrant. Check it out below.

WALL-E hits theaters on June 27th 2008.

Pixar just keeps getting more inventive every time, and WALL-E just may be it's biggest film ever. I'm just a sucker for cute, and adorable characters, but WALL-E just may be my favorite one of all.

Can't wait to see this one, the animation style is beautiful.
  • I was bummed once I found out that Disney made you remove the clip but the extra footage they provided was cool and I was able to locate the video on youtube.

After being a Lightning McQueen fanatic for two years, my 3.5-year-old son has been OBSESSED with all things Wall-E since seeing the trailer opening for Ratatouille. Viewings of the HiDef trailers make very effective bribes. We've even been using the release date as a carrot for potty training. Number 1 on the potty gets 1 sticker, Number 2 gets 3 stickers... 50 stickers by Jun27 and he gets to see the movie in the theater.

It only took him a week to figure out he could earn 50 stickers by doing #1 only. So we had to add five special W-A-L-L-E stickers that he must earn, only by #2.

"I think that being in a futuristic environement doesn’t show how “real” the animation and graphics design can be… since we don’t really have any real-life reference to compare it with, it’s more simple to create anything."

That's simply crazy, and I doubt any film director or designer would agree with you.
  • Smumdax
I would've hoped to see the majority of the action on the devastated Earth... Somehow, I think that being in a futuristic environement doesn't show how "real" the animation and graphics design can be... since we don't really have any real-life reference to compare it with, it's more simple to create anything.

But I still think the film looks great, and will go see it for sure!

That film looks very beautifully designed. It doesn't seem to call attentioin to itself like kungfo panda. The animation seems less cliche than the stuff in the panda cartoon. So much sophistication. Hard to believe it's form the same director and producdtion designer of Finding Nemo.

I've wanted to see Wall-E since I saw Ratatouille and found the online teaser trailer for it. It's looked remarkable from the beginning. Hats off to Disney-Pixar. They've done it again.

The clips kinda bored me too...I thought I was the only one.

Wow...say one bad thing about Pixar and that person HAS to be from dreamworks??....wow you guys are like a cult!!
  • Joe
So did Dreamworks hire people to troll on message boards to help Kung fu Panda or something?
  • SIDC78
    What a snoozer!

If I were 6, I would love it. Teletubbies in space.

Wow. They managed to turn Wall-e from a movie I would avoid at all costs to a movie that I begrudgingly admit that I want to see. I don't know if it is the marketing genius of putting out these clips or the charm and likability of the characters... but my hat is off to the responsible party.
  • I cant wait to see the movie it's so cool
  • Bob Funn
Robots in love? cute but a little too kiddie.

I Much prefer the father son relationship between po and master shifu in kung fu panda, and the incredible fights/action!

I'm sure it'll be worth watching however!

This looks great! I predict that this will be the top grossing movie of all month.

Am sold now on this film with that clip.

@ Eric: Kids are usually better at understanding that sort of thing than adults are. Remember the little girl from Monsters Inc.? I still can't make heads or tails of what she says, but my little cousins swore black and blue that she wasn't just babbling.
This movie looks so great! I can't wait for it to come out.
  • Darrien
Can't wait to see it in a theater. Damn you Pixar!
  • Eric
    This looks really funny.

I was thinking. Will little kids understand the coputery voice every robot has?
  • brian
aside from the fact you wouldn't be able to hear anything when they're floating in space, it looks pretty entertaining

Awesome, one of the clips I saw a couple of months back. I think this may be the best or at least most entertaining film of the year.
  • cogezek
Thanks Kevin for setting us up the bomb.
