Bat Lieutenant and Law Abiding Citizen movie posters

Slumdog Millionaire movie posterMTV has a batch of new movie posters from Cannes. The three most interesting can be seen above:

  • Werner Herzog’s (Grizzly Man) remake of Bad Lieutenant starring Nicolas Cage.
  • Frank Darabont’s (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) Law Abiding Citizen which stars Gerard Butler as an assistant D.A. is targeted by a victim of the legal system who looks to exact a certain revenge.
  • Danny Boyle’s (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later…) Slumdog Millionaire, a comedy about an illiterate kid who looks to become a contestant on the Hindi version of Who Wants to be A Millionaire in order to re-establish contact with the girl he loves, who is a huge fan of the show.

Slumdog Millionaire has completed filming, while the other two films are in preproduction. Check out more movie posters from Cannes on MTV.

    Despite Cannes going on, it’s been a hell of a slow news day/past weekend. I guess now that IJ is coming out, what else do we have to talk about?

    The concept of Werner Herzog and Nicholas Cage teaming up is very interesting. Not sure about the whole idea of remaking The Bad Lieutenant though…

    Look on the bright side… this very well may be the *last” we hear of Nic Cage. One can hope.

    That Danny Boyle movie sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how he handles a comedy.

    Yeah I can’t believe there remaking “Bad Lieutenant” ether. The original was a bomb and went pretty quick to vhs.
    I remember thinking less of Kietel after that film, guess that shows how good of an actor he is.
    Man, he was a assssshooole in that film!

    They should have called the film “asshole Lieutenant”.
