GI Joe Set Photos: Snake Eyes Attacks a Hummer

More photos have hit the web from the Prague, Czech Republic set G.I. Joe. Apparently they were filming a action sequence on Friday which involved Snake Eyes (Ray Park) on top of a black Hummer. Ripcord (Marlon Waynes) and Scarlett (Rachel Nichols) were seen watching from the sidelines in full costume, so they’re probably involved in the sequence some how. At least everyone didn’t look completely stupid as they did the day before that [Re: GI Joe Set Photos: Two More Reasons Why GI Joe Might Suck].

    I’ve figure out why this movie doesn’t look as good as it should be. Along with all the bad costumes and different suits and what not, they all sort of look like really cool action figures I would’ve had when I was a kid. Cool action figures but bad movie costumes. I don’t know anyone else think so?

    I dont think any part of this looks good. Unless there are some amazing post-production effect put on, theres no way this will be good.

    @Ben

    This movie does not look as good as it should because it will be a poor movie.

    I cant wait until they do the live action My Little Pony movie.

    Peter just christ dude.

    Stick to your original opinion. These look exactly like the other ones in terms of looking ridiculous. Stop taking back your word, flip flopper.

    Listen: I’m not saying these new photos look cool, not in the least. They just don’t look as nearly as lame as the photos from the day before.

    Ok, where to start… Rachael Nichols has big cans! That’s one positive. Now onto the negative. Marlon Wayans has no business being within 10,000 miles of this production. I don’t mind him if he’s in a comedy, or even playing a midget pretending to be a baby…but he’s a hundred and fifty pounds soaking wet, and they want us to believe that he’s just going to swing into action bulked up in steel body armor? It’s corny and lame on many different levels, like the suits. As for Snake Eyes, I’m a Ray Park fan, but couldn’t he have mentioned something to Sommers that the Snake Eyes suit looks like Jack Lalane, at 80 years old! Only spraypainted black. Look at those love handles when he’s sitting down. And the head is like a Michael Myers mask, without the hair…spraypainted black!

    i keep forgetting this movie comes out August 7, 2009 it’s May 2008 now so its nowhere near its release date. I’m not a fan of GI Joe but I’ll go so this when it comes out. A couple of photos somebody snapped while there shooting the movie isn’t enough to throw me off it.

    I’ve been trying to remember what shitty 80’s film GI Joe reminds me of…and then it hit me…

    Mega Force.

    Am I right or am I right?

    Is this film going to be Rated Disney?
    Sure looks like only the hardcore fans will get this.

    I’m getting used to it because it is set in the future and they are working on suits like these in real life so no big deal. The pic of SE is pretty cool. As long as Cobra rocks thats all I care about.

    Where do I begin… At first I was so up-set- no I was pissed off that they looked more like the Sigma 6 instead of the characters based on the 80’s toy line. Then I thought about it, and it’s spelled out right in the title of this film G.I.Joe- Not: G.I.Joe A Real American Hero. We were told that this film was a telling of a modern day G.I.Joe team, so who’s to say that this is what the characters might have looked like if the comic would have been released this decade. Larry Hama told us that it will be a film that us the fans would enjoy- I accepted the fact that this is not the 80’s version that is being told here. I will try to look at it as another story telling of a reloaded version of G.I.Joe, and I will go into the theater with an open mind and suggest that all of you should do. Who knows, we might be shocked that the film will be good. If not then we can only hope that they’re start over like they did for Batman.

    I see the underlying political jab in that Snake Eyes photo. They’re showing the Japanese dominance in the American car industry.

    Sommers you hackey-rapscallion, you!

    @ The Dude

    Despit officail denials…GiJoe looks like crapola!

    Megaforce had one of the finest casts of b-list actors around, sound familiar?

    It’s Barry Bostwick Vs Michael Knight’s boss…priceless!

    @Pete…

    I still have the hot wheels car/jeep from Mega Force from when I was a kid. I hate to admit it but I loved Mega Force….and that other 80’s, D&D nerd wank fest/classic “Hawk the Slayer”.
