Paramount has released a new featurette for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull focusing on the directing talents of Steven Spielberg. It’s essentially just a bunch of shots edited together of Spielberg directing. There isn’t even interviews, so it might be considered more of montage than a featurette, but I digress.
Also the Indiana Jones presence at Cannes is HUGE. The three new Indy banners shown above are on display on the Croisette. [badtaste]

If nothing else the montage shows us all the pretty equipment that is at Steve’s disposal. Even in today’s world where off the shelf cameras are being used to make big time movies, it’s nice to see what kind of stuff you can get your hands on if you have piles of cash lying around waiting to throw at someone.
And George and Steve have some of the largest stacks around.

It inspirational to see a master at work. He seems both involved and in control, obviously it helps when budget is not really an issue.
Spielberg is one of the greatest directors if not the greatest - I would love to have a chance to work on one of his films. I had the opportunity to work on LOTR and watching PJ at work was amazing too!!
Bring on the 22nd

I love it, but somebody needs to show this WITHOUT music. I want to HEAR what the master is saying for Christ’s sake!!

I have faith in Steven, IJ4 will be good. I’ve never really seen a film of his where I can say I didn’t like it. That includes “Hook”. I think Lucas’s influence on set was minimal. Harrison and Steven aren’t taking that shit.

I would LOVE to have a good hour video of just raw footage of a set behind the scenes. No damn edited short 10min thing like we always get but an unedited BTS video like you were one of the crew……

The master at work…there is no doubt in my mind the film will be fantastic!
