TwilightSummit Entertainment’s big screen adaptation of Twilight just recently entered post production, but the filmmakers are already talking about the possibility of filming the sequels back to back. And for good reason.

“Our vampires can’t age…if they were like 45, people would say ‘What’s up?’” laughed director Catherine Hardwicke told MTV. “[Filming them together] could be the case. Then, you just get it done.”

“[We like the idea of] shooting them back to back, and shooting them simultaneously as they did with ‘Lord of the Rings’,” producer Greg Mooradian explained. “From a production standpoint, it’s a great thing to do. But it’s quite an undertaking.”

The lead stars are already contractually signed to at least three films, if the studio actually decides to greenlight them. And production on the big screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon and Eclipse novels could go into production immediately.

“The goal is to keep it moving quickly,” he explained. “[That will] give the audience a sense of knowing that the next installment is going to come at a really specific increment of time.”

What is up with this Twilight hype? Seriously, someone explain to me one reason why i should be excited.

  2. Gravatar

There is no reason to be excited for this movie, its gonna suck…

  3. Gravatar

Jezzus: its a huge bestselling book series with a very big built in fanbase. I think the audience for it will sway largely female, largely teen. So chances are, you won’t be excited for it.

  4. Gravatar

I like to give everything a clean slate upon arrival but everything about this movie screams “The Craft part. 3 : Witches got to College”

There are hundreds of best sellers out there, and I’m actually starting to think that best sellers are easier to achieve now. Every week theres a person on a morning show or news program hocking their “best seller”. Yawn, I would never even have heard of these people if they didn’t go on the tube.

Anyway, just the fact that their talking about two sequals already just get’s me bugged.

  5. Gravatar

Peter, honestly stop posting all this. yes, big fanbase. OF YOUNG TEENAGE GIRLS. are you one? do you even have any self respect or dignity in your own website or do you care about nothing but hits? the majority of your daily readers are not in this movies fanbase, so instead of annoying us by posting about it every other day, please chill . once a month is acceptable. not to mention even if i was a little dumb teen i would not give a shit about this epic fail of a movie. donnie darko has a huge fanbase. will we get nonstop s. darko updates too?

  6. Gravatar

analrapist: As long as there is interest, we will continue to post updates. So far the Twilight posts have been highly read, so unless that changes…

And please calm down. We ar enot going to post about Twilight everyday. But f a new trailer or poster is released, expect to see it. If they talk about a sequel, then expect to hear about it. We’re giving this film our normal coverage.

  7. Gravatar

fair enough, but looks like from these comments most people are not interested.

  8. Gravatar

analrapist: the commenters are the vocal minority. The numbers of how many people read the Twilight posts show there is interest (surprisingly even from regular readers of the site). Again, we’re not going to go overboard with this movie. Expect maybe one or two posts a week depending on if there is any news to warrant posting.

  9. Gravatar

I have said it before. If Peter gets a ton of hits on his Twilight stories, he can drum up a big advertising deal for the site on the run up to release and then the regulars can bask in the glory that is him getting rid of that goddam emoticon banner that screams HELLO at you every time you mouse over it.

    Fuck I hate that banner.

  10. Gravatar

    @ Peter

Sean Connery will sell you anal bum covers for $7000 to protect your from all the analrapist out there.

  11. Gravatar

analrapists have no rights in my book. and to be honest, i wont see the movie or read the book, but i will comment and mess with the teeny boppers. so keep posting peter.

  12. Gravatar

This is a movie news site, right? Then they should post any type of updates about new movies. If you dont like the heading about what they posted, dont read it. I think it would be a good idea for them to film them back to back, I just hope they dont wait a year between releases. Four to six months tops probably. I’m looking forward to see Kristen Stewart. =D

  13. Gravatar

I like being the vocal minority *pouts*

It does kind of irk me though when people start talking sequels before a movie even comes out. I suppose it makes sense since this is based off a book series but I always get the feeling like they are counting their chickens before they hatch, you know? No matter the franchise it always seems premature to me.

On another note… has anyone else noticed that the last couple of posts didn’t have as many comments? And they were mostly from regular posters? Ah! I hope that doesn’t mean the whole “hits = no annoying banner” won’t go through.

  14. Gravatar

    @ Peter

On a serious non related note, whatever happened to the new site design the was mulled around a while back? The photo of the concept back in September looked kick ass.

  15. Gravatar

Twilight is awesome!! If you haven’t read the books don’t hate! And none of us can say anything about the movie b/c none of us have seen it! If the movie stays true to the book, I will definitely be watching the sequels!

  16. Gravatar

You should really be excited like me because Twilight is the best book ever written and probably the best movie ever. It’s going to be great not as good as the book but really good. Twilight rox!!

  17. Gravatar

Wow. There really are people like that out there. Ama-za-zing.

  18. Gravatar

Floppy: we ran into some problems in design (and are still struggling on the home stretch). I’m hoping it will launch later this month

  19. Gravatar

Hate to hear that, but glad that you are obviously resolving the problems and moving ahead. Hope everything goes to plan and the transition is smooth later this month.

  20. Gravatar

Where all my Hot Topic crew at???

  21. Gravatar

    @ Captain America

Hot Topic crew? You mean like that store that promotes Tokio Hotel, THAT Hot Topic? *snickers*

Um, as far as back to back filming I agree that it is premature. I understand that it worked for LOTR but I don’t see how they can even compare the two. I think they should wait to see how this one does first but I can see how they don’t want anyone aging on them. Except maybe Launter, who needs to age up a bit before the next movie…if they plan on keeping him.

  22. Gravatar

    @ Chimaera

Have you learned nothing? Have the Twilighter’s not opened your eyes to the truth? Can you not see that this is the greatest literature to ever be? We should be erecting statues to celebrate the great prowess that is Twilight! Begone Shakespeare! Begone Tolstoy! Begone R. L. Stine for you are no longer welcome in the literary section. Ha

  23. Gravatar

    @ Floppy

lol, oh man. Forgive me. I was lost but you, you Floppy, have found me. I was blind but now, now I see. Thank you for showing me the light. In fact, I am now burning my Goosebumps collection as I write this :P

  24. Gravatar

    @ Analrapist

I was a commenter on /Film before MTV even had the rights for Twilight - and that was ages ago. There are postings on here all the time for movies I don’t care to see, but you don’t see me spamming them with comments about how much they’re going to suck. Some people are excited about the Twilight movie series - why ruin the fun?

As for the topic at hand, I feel like they’re jumping the gun here. The first movie will probably make a lot at the box office because of the fan base, but I’d hate to see two really crappy renditions of New Moon and Eclipse just for the sake of making them.

Then again, this is Hollywood we’re talking about…

  25. Gravatar

I have decided that I love /film’s coverage of Twilight. These comments beat the hell out of the imdb Twilight vs. The Dark Knight war that’s been going on all day. You guys are funny, even if you don’t see the wisdom behind Twilight…

I can’t wait for the film to come out…and YES please film all the sequels!! ASAP!! Hmmm..I wonder if the story will be more interesting to you guys when the Werewolves appear on the scene, or if there will be even MORE eye-rolling around here. I wonder….hehe

  26. Gravatar

…I decided to check out the IMDB board and it scared me. o_O

  27. Gravatar

    @ Tina

My friends and I will often quote the comments left by guys on these posts. Like the last post when people made posts about what they would live for if they could live forever.

    Good times…

  28. Gravatar

Peter, I hope you see the hilarity of you posting serious thoughful responses to someone called “analrapist” (above).

  29. Gravatar

Being one of, if not the greatest, movie sites i’ve ever encountered /film really spikes my interest and all around knowledge in movies i’ve generally never heard of. and with the Twilight saga being my favorite book series of all time, it is wonderful to see my two interests merge.
however when analraping bashers come on boards/comments and proceed to tear down my obsessions i get a tad peeved.

when you actually take the time out of your day to hate on teenage girls and other obsessive fans, you have fallen to a new low…

  30. Gravatar

The Twilight stories sounds like a rip-off of the Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith from the pre-Harry Potter days when teenagers weren’t apparently interested in reading. It’s sounds so so similar but I can’t really confirm it since I don’t plan on reading any of the Twilight novels. Maybe Uwe Boll should have been directing this…

  31. Gravatar

    @Tina

    Werewolves! ~ cause hurt.

Oh and everyone fan should cheer back to back sequels.

Imagine if they had done that for Golden Compass. Then I wouldn’t have had to read the books to find out how it ended. (Subtle knife owns by the way and would have been an awesome movie.)

  32. Gravatar

Honestly the hype surrounding this series sometimes saddens me but I have to say that as a female the stories appeal to me. I have always liked vampire stories…the fact that Meyers’ vampires sparkle in the sun kind of disturbed me at first, but I’m holding out for an explaination in Breaking Dawn (book four). True, the basis is cliche…true the whole ‘vampires are SOOOOO beautiful’ thing is cheesy at best…but, damn it, I really think the movie is going to be pretty good. Also, Meyer’s is a Mormon and her religious ideal do come through in the story…it’s actually annoying.

  33. Gravatar

    @ Tina

What religious ideals are you referring to?

  34. Gravatar

    @Chimaera

First of all, I think the entire series is a longwinded way of saying: wait until your married to have sex. Also, the whole idea of mind over matter with both Carlisle and Edward denying what comes naturally for the good of human compassion…Not that any of these are bad things…sorry…I shouldn’t have brought it up here…for 2 reasons…first of all, some of the posters on here are passionate about the fact that this is a movie discussion, not a book discussion…and because I really don’t want to have a conversation about religion…so…yeah, sorry…

BUT…let me say that I think that the future of the sequels will depend on whether Meyers is happy with the squeaky cleanliness the finished Twilight Movie product and the squeakiness of the New Moon and Eclipse screenplays…

  35. Gravatar

    @ Tina

Yeah, not the time or place but at least you seem to be well informed. I hadn’t even thought of that affecting the fate of the sequels. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

  36. Gravatar

    @Ali
I’m intrigued…do you have a link to that thread about living forever, etc?

  37. Gravatar

Goddamn analrapist, since when do we decide what gets posted on this site? Do yourself a favor and buy a mouse with a scroll and USE it next time you see a Twilight post.

  38. Gravatar

It would make sense to film them back to back because of the Cullen kids being teens. Rob is 22 already.. I mean as sexy as he is.. add 4 years or so He isn’t still going to look that young.

I am more then happy of them being optimistic. Who the heck has heard of a fim company saying” Yeah, we are pretty sure the movie is going to blow.. we arn’t going to worry about what happend ever” Honestly. Of course people are going to buzz about what could happen with the films future. The haters need to get a grip It is a film site, Twilight is a film.

    Thanks Peter for the coverage.

  39. Gravatar

    Twilight = my guilty pleasure.

That’s what I get for giving into my own curiousity. I don’t mind
YA books, especially when the kiddo is reading them because
we then discuss them together. My mom use to do the same
    thing with me.

As for filiming the next two books back to back….well, let’s see
how December goes. I’m sure the first movie will make money,
no doubt about it, but it’s still a guessing game on exactly
how much the movie will make and if it will be any good. Not that
that has stopped fimmakers making sequels before. :)

I’m still on the fence about the movie. The trailer isn’t
terribly inviting, but the behind the scenes that I watched made it look as if it has some potential. They’re obviously adding to the story, which is good. There needs to be more action to keep the story moving along and make it a more well rounded.

If Twilight turns out be a halfway decent teen flick then I think
moving forward with two more movies is a good plan. Werewolves
come into play in the second book …and I have always had a
soft spot for them too. LoL

The one thing I look forawrd to when it comes to the film….
seeing Edward “sparkle” -snickers- Oh man…I’m sorry…I
still can’t get over glittering vampires. I can’t imagine how they
will pull off that without it coming off as cheesy.

Sorry, fans…it’s just how I feel.

  40. Gravatar

Meli: I’m a fan and I hear ya. I agree with everything you said.

  41. Gravatar

Just a bit of info, these haven’t ‘ripped off’ any vampire stories because Meyer hasn’t read any she doesn’t like horror.

And no one is claiming Twilight is better than Shakespeare, Tolstoy, etc. just that they love the books and it has in turn introduced them to Shakespeare, Austen, etc. obviously they are a bit lighter reading than the above mentioned and therefore have more mass appeal.

Even if I love Twilight which I’m not sure of because of course adaptations are sometimes difficult to accept if you like a book, I do hope that is Steph isn’t happy she does put a stop to the next ones or asks for more say in the filming process.

  42. Gravatar

    @ CC. Thanks. :)

  43. Gravatar

I’m amazed that people can be so quick to bash something they haven’t read or seen. Give it the benefit of the doubt, people. Either that or try it before saying anything. (Did your mother teach you nothing when you were 8 and told her you hated tomatoes even though you’d never tried one? :) )

The Twilight fans appreciate any and all coverage we can get. So, Peter, thank you for continuing posting articles. We love them and we look forward to more!

  44. Gravatar

That’s the same thing the guy that tried to sell me crack said. Now where would I have been if I had taken his advice?

  45. Gravatar

If it’s bad FOR YOU, that’s a completely different situation, isn’t it? This is a book/movie. It’s not unhealthy for you. It’s not causing any negative addictions. It’s not making you lose any control of your own life (unless, of course, all you do is read the books and nothing else, which may be the case for some). It’s just a story.

For the most part, the negative comments on here have been fairly mature, which is rare. But there are a few that were really unnecessary. If you don’t want to hear about the movie, don’t read the articles. It’s as simple as that.

  46. Gravatar

Whoa. Whoa. Comic relief. The fact that you fired back at that aggressively shows you need some comic relief. Lets hug it out.

  47. Gravatar

    @Nikki

Yeah, Floppy has a point. The only person really bashing this is analrapist, and he’s a douche (yeah, I said it :P). Most of the other comments are suppose to be… umm.. funny. We are geeks, and therefore have a odd sense of humour. Leave us alone man!

  48. Gravatar

    @ Floppy

You get the fire going and I’ll bring the s’mores. Hahahahaha.

  49. Gravatar

    @ Floppy

You get the fire going and I’ll bring the s’mores. Duca, you bring your guitar and we’ll kum-bah-ya our way though this. Hahahahaha.

  50. Gravatar

Ummm, I thought I had stopped that in time before I modified the post…* laughs sheepishly*

  51. Gravatar

    @ Chimaera

High five on the triple post! Haha! I’ll start the fire, you bring the s’mores, duca brings the guitar, big daddy brings the coat hangers (and witty comebacks). The twilighters can bring all the essentials to keep the shiny vampires avay (ha) since the rules of the game are probably different in twilightland and we wouldn’t know how to protect ourselves since we don’t read the divine pages of twilightenment.

  52. Gravatar

Sorry guys you won’t be able to do a single thing to defend yourself from the vamps, they are pretty much invincible in the Twilight world. Well you could get yourselves a pack of werewolf friends thats about the best chance you have, sorry! :)

  53. Gravatar

What happens if a vampire attacks someone who has AIDS? (serious question)

  54. Gravatar

These vampires have no fluids running through their bodies except for venom, so I imagine they wouldn’t be affected by AIDS. The venom would just kill everything.

Or maybe the AIDS would infect all the venom, so every time they attack someone, they give the person AIDS. But then those people either die or turn into AIDS-infected vampires anyway, so really it’s just a nice circle. Let’s just say AIDS wouldn’t kill vampires.

  55. Gravatar

    @ Nikki

So the Twilight vampires are kind of a “new” vampire. Or at least new abilities/attributes (i.e. invulnerability to sun and now venom instead of blood).

    @ Jess

I know this is way late, but a couple posts back you said the author didn’t ripoff any other vampire books because she doesn’t like, much less read, horror. I get that, but why did she pick vampires to convey her “romance” novel since vampires are considered more of a horror-centric group. There is romance associated with vampires ranging from Bram Stoker’s Dracula to Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire and the list continues, but there’s still some brutal characters and scenes associated with each and everyone of those. Obviously she knew what she was doing though.

  56. Gravatar

Yes, her vampires are different, which is what makes them so intriguing. I’m not a big horror fan myself, so I haven’t read anything about other vampires. Do other authors ever explain if there is blood running through the vampire’s bodies?

To answer your question directed at Jess, Stephenie Meyer had a dream in which she new the male was a vampire. So really, her subconcious chose it. There are some “brutal” vampires in Twilight, they just aren’t the main characters.

  57. Gravatar

There isn’t any specific material that I can cite offhand of authors flat out saying hey they’ve got blood in their bodies, but there are times I can remember vampires feeding on other vampires and blood being visible and/or described.

  58. Gravatar

Or like in the movies when they kill each other or by werewolves and blood squirts everywhere! Besides she might not like horror but she’d have to have been living under a rock if she had never at least heard of Dracula or just plain vampires in general…she just took it and obviously but her own unique spin on it. Besides they aren’t entirely indestructible since other vamps and weres can still kill them.

  59. Gravatar

Jesus just told me they’re filled with mashed potatoes and grape jelly. He also said that they’re not snakes and so that they couldn’t be filled with venom, but he’s known to be a liar. My mom was a werewolf, wait, or was she a… never mind.

  60. Gravatar

LoL, the comments are getting just plain silly, but definitely
    entertaining!

I read a brief interview with the author and while she doesn’t like
horror and never watched a full vampire movie in the past she has
at least read The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice…so, she did have
an idea of vampire lore. I think her take on vampires is fine
aside from when they sparkle in the sunlight. I just can’t help
    but giggle.

  61. Gravatar

The Vampire Lestat…Isn’t that a sequel? Hmmm… I don’t think she knows much about vampires…I think “Vampire” was definitely just a fluke…kinda funny, though

  62. Gravatar

back to back….I guess! Plus it says that they have singed a contract for three films..no? Plus I would love for them to do that and not stop like the lemoney snicket ones…Oh well can’t wait for the movie! (12/12/08!)

    peace!

  63. Gravatar

Vampires only have their own blood in them for the first year, and then if they are non-veggie vamps the blood of the people they kill. I think being a Literature major she probably knew plenty of vampire lore and actually has Bella look up some stuff on the internet in Twilight and dismiss a lot of it as a way to explain away high mortality rates and a reason for men to be promiscuous. Like another poster said she had a dream where the guy was a vampire, but in a new sense of the word.

Yes other vamps can kill vamps, but that’s not something you can do to protect yourself besides get vampire friends or werewolf friends and then its just a matter of your friends being stronger/faster than the people coning to attack! lol

I do hope they shoot the films simultaneously for the vampires sake, but I am worried we’ll lose our werewolves to other guys since the werewolves have to bulk up and look older really quickly once they start turning into werewolves in book two,

  64. Gravatar

I can’t believe how out of hand this debate is getting! But everyone actually just says the same thing! Don’t judge the book before you read it, or don’t comment if you don’t like it! If you don’t like it, skip the posts, if you like it comment! I am a HUGE fan and cannot understand that some people just don’t like it, but I also understand that taste varies! So I know that I like it and that I want to see it, so why would someone who knows if they like it or not, even dibate about that?

  65. Gravatar

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at how popular this film will actually be. The fans of this series (of which I am one) are like Harry Potter fans on CRACK. And surprisingly a lot more guys are getting into the series as it is basically a ‘How To Get A Chick’ Handbook if you read it right. Hell, just reading it will probably up your game about 50% because it is like an automatic ‘in’ with the ladies. I seriously doubt that that film is going to have ANY problem at the box office.

  66. Gravatar

wow. a lot of you are stupid.
if you don’t understand what the excitement is about then either don;t read about it or go read the books.
Personally, they are the best books i have ever read. and i do think that Stephanie Meyer is a GREAT author. you might not agree, but i’m that about 99.9% of the people who have actually read her books would agree. and that is the reason there is so much excitement.
I cant wait for the movie. or the 4th book. just like every one else i know that has read the books. once you start Twilight, you are addicted. honestly. just read them. and then you too will be anxious for the movie to come out.
    I cant wait!

  67. Gravatar

i would like the second and third to be back-to-back for the vampires sake but what makes me sad is how the werewolves would have to be replaced seeing that they start to look older in the second book. I like it better when all the actors are the same through out but with them it may be difficult, I just hope that if they are replaced the replacements fit the actors the filled in for. And I for one am a die hard twilight fan and anxiously await the movie an book. I plan too see it as soon as it comes out in december and from clips i’ve seen so far i will not be disappointed

  68. Gravatar

uhm if you guys arent exciited for the movie, it obviously reveals you probably havent read the book. so do everyone a favor and read it instead of complaining about how bad the movie is going to suck. no ones saying you have to go see it or be excited. but evidently if you had no interest in this moive, why were you looking at the webpage with all the excited fans? hmm…? idk.

  69. Gravatar

Did any of you guys read the book?
well i think the book will be better than the movie because the
people in the movie are nothing like theyare described in the book
but i guess we have to wait till the movie comes out
i think that taylor lautner or kellan lutz should be Edaward Cullen
p.s. this isn’t a place to trash talk on things and people so all of you need to STOP :)

  70. Gravatar

    I agree with you Mistie
I couldn’t have said it any different

Mistie which book wa your favorite?

  71. Gravatar

OMG! Plz say you will be making New Moon and Eclipse as a movie. oh and don’t forget Breaking Dawn. I’m a huge fan and i am really excited for the Twilight movie. hey jezzus kid. go but the book read it and then you will know why everyone is in love with the book, characters, and the fact that the movie is coming out. for all you twerds( it’s the word to discribe us twilight fans. the real twilight fans) thanks for the support and enjoy the 4th book and the movie!!!

  72. Gravatar

    I want Edward!!!!!!!!!
Edward is the perfect guy he is the best
he is sooooo hot!who doesn’t want him?

    I WANT EDWARD!!

    I <3 edward

  73. Gravatar

I read in some of those post that it was just a bunch of teens that would go see the movie and read the books. I am 26 years old and happen to love the books and so does my hubby who is 30….The movie, of course, will not be like the books exactly but, when my hubby saw the trailer he wanted to see the movie and read the books. There is enough action in it to hold his attention. The books are in a girls, POV. The movie shows more on everyone else’s POV so it will be more “guy friendly”(I will like that too). The actors might not be what everyone sees in their head but I figure as long as they can pull the mood of the whole thing off, what the heck. I am not a big fan of book movies but this one might be almost as good as the book. Maybe.

  74. Gravatar

I must agree the movie might not be like the book and the actors might not be what we pictured but as long as they get the point crossed and give you the feelings the book does then we are all good. I can’t wait for the movie. it looks amazing and yes very action filled. i read that it is very action pack and sound effects make the movie even better. oh and yes I love Edward too. he is just plain perfect. like the quote says…

“Edward Cullen Is The New Romeo”

  75. Gravatar

First off, I am a hugeeeee Twilight fan. I pretty much go into shock whenever something new comes on the official Stephenie Meyer website.
    but anyway…

    @AzMyst
I have read the Vampire Diaries and it is an amazing series! For a month I absolutely refused to read the last book because of what happened at the end of the third. lol. But I had read it after I read Twilight and I did see a lot of similarities but you see a lot of similarities in each and every vampire book you read, you know? There’s only so much you can really do with vampires and get away with. You can’t get too far imaginative or it just seems like to much.

    @Tina
About Stephenie Meyer’s whole religion thing and the sex before marriage. Its definately got something to do with her values but you have to remember that Edward was born in the early 1900s and taught that it was wrong to have sex before marriage and whatnot. Also, he is still regretting being a vampire because he honestly had no choice. He wants to hold onto all the humanity and values that he has left of his human life, he is also afraid that he may lose control and hurt Bella during sex…so yeah…

But I am sooooooooooo excited for the movie and they can’t not make more movies it just wouldn’t be right. I am looking forward to the concert series on august 1st in nyc. I am soooooooooooooo excited for breaking dawn! but very sad that it is the last book in the series of Bellas point of view.

  76. Gravatar

All of the Twilight books are classicly inspired (Wuthering Height,s Shakespeare,Jane Austen) They are great books and I cannot wait for the films!!!
    Team Edward all the way!!!!!!!!

  77. Gravatar

Seriously. Guys out there should realize that the surest way to get a girl is by acting like Edward Cullen… even if you can’t match his looks and intrigue. Twilight is just an indicator that whatever we say, we love the over-protective and jealous, chivalrous type.

Also, Stephenie Meyer probably isn’t the best author the world has ever seen. But she certainly isn’t the worst. Her novels are romantic and have a lot of pent up sexuality… whether or not she intended it.

I am a big fan of the Twilight series. And, I already told my husband he was taking me to see the movie. I’m patiently waiting for the last book in the series, and for the movie. I’m interested to see how a book that is so focused on how the characters think is translated to film. Most of the book is how Bella feels about this, what Bella thinks about that. How do you translate thought processes into film? And, if the first movie is okay, I will probably see the next two as well.

I have a serious question, what would happen to a werewolf in the series if he (or she) had a vampire bite him/her?

Would they evolve into some type of hybrid?

I know it probably wouldn’t happen. I’m merely curious. Although I did think Steph said there were no possibilites for hybrids in her novels.

If anyone wants to read a good “vampire” book, try the Moth Diaries. That book was seriously trippy, it kind of reminded me of Pan’s Labyrinth.

Imaan, Twilight is okay. Just okay. NOT the best book on the planet.

Mistie, if the Twilight books are the best books you’ve ever read, I’m going to go on a limb here and assume you don’t read much. I don’t think most of the Twilight fans do. The only think I can really say that’s good about Steph is that she’s getting kids to read. And for those of you claiming to be avid readers and Twilight fans, what the hell have you been reading besides Twilight? Whatever you’re reading must be doggone awful if Twilight’s the best thing you’ve ever read.

Romance101, sadly Edward is not a real person. If he was, he’d be fighting girls off with a hockey stick. (I seriously guess real men must suck if women cling to fantasy men. I bet Steph’s hubby hates Edward or feels inferior to him if he is not like him in every single way.)

Crap. Now I can’t even spell “thing” right.

Tal, not all girls love jealous, over-protective, chivalrous men. God, you’re setting women back four hundred years.

Ant, I meant no offense to the female population. Obviously not all women like the same thing. But the chivalrous element is definitely part of what attracts women to Edward Cullen. At least for all of the fans with whom I’ve spoken.

I’m not suggesting that Bella is a weak character… for all of her human fralities she is still quite the strong and stubborn woman. But Edward’s tender care and possesive protection are symbols of his extreme devotion… and are therefore factors in his appeal.

    Hey ms. ant person
who cares if edward isn’ real we can still like him or DREam so unless you are going to say some nice things about the book and to other people like me then don’t say it at all
