At the 2008 VES Awards, Michael Bay retold the story of how he predicted the failure of Raiders of the Lost Ark while working at LucasFilm. Bay went on to tell a little story involving Indiana Jones 4. Watch the video below.

Has anyone else read the bad review on AICN. got that horrible “phantom menace” pit in my stomach starting to grow. Apparently the bad buzz is growing on this, which i find really odd, considering Spielberg’s talents, despite fluctuations, always deliver a watchable and enticing film, consistently over the past 10-15 years. Even his ‘flubs’ are fun to watch.

Ha. That’s pretty good. I like Bay, and most of his movies. I agree with orange cinema above, no matter what Bay does, even if it was the greatest movie ever made, you little kids are still gonna be on here bitching about it… while sitting at home, doing nothing… like you could do better. I’d like to see you try.

I always have a frustrating opinion about Bay. Most of his movies are too stylized, too big, and too expensive…but he just seems like such a cool guy. Dammit, Bay! You can’t be a cool-douche! They don’t exist!

That was funny, I don’t like his style but he seems like he *could* be cool, at the very least he’s got a sense of humor about himself, which is more than I can say for 95% of big budget Hollywood directors.

Didn’t he start out as a PA on Night Court? Shouldn’t that job demand a sense of humor? I like dry humor. He seems to ooze a little too much cheese for me. The ‘uhhh’ at the end of the clip says it all.
