Asajj Ventres in The Clone Wars

The official plot synopsis reads: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala, are on the front lines of an intergalactic struggle between good and evil, along with brand new heroes like Anakin’s padawan learner, Ahsoka. Sinister villains – led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous – are poised to rule the galaxy. Stakes are high, and the fate of the Star Wars universe rests in the hands of the daring Jedi Knights. Their exploits lead to action-packed battles and astonishing new revelations.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will hit theaters on August 15th 2008. The movie eads directly in to this fall’s premiere of a weekly computer-animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series on Cartoon Network.

As a Star Wars fan, I have to ask, whats the point (you know, other than money)?

I thought the Clone Wars were wrapped up nicely in the 2-D cartoon. I feel like thats what this is, really. The 2-D cartoon remade in CGI.
  • I love Star wars, but damn, I think we all have Star Wars fatigue. Just stop making new stuff, please!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it ended there with Episode III.

yeah, i love star wars, but it feels like they are just milking it now. this new thing seems kinda childlike. i think they should stick to just making new games
  • I'm kinda surprised it isn't in 3d.

I really dislike the art direction, and Star Wars needs to die. It should have died in 1983 with Return of the Jedi.

Why can't you people stop hating this and be happy that more storyline is happening.

I'm happy that they are diving into the stories of what happens in between the movies and such. Personally I hated most of the acting the in the prequels. Horrid acting, Anakin's character was butchered. But thats just because I'm an actor my self. But I LOVED the prequels, because it provides a visual to what happens and gives me more story to take in and appreciate. I love all the Star Wars novels and video games and everything, because they give me more info on Characters in the movies. And there are HUGE gaps in between the movies, like in Episode III, wouldn't you like to know the stories behind Anakin's scar's, and how Anakin and Obi-Won briefly mention things that happen in some of the situations they go through? Even in the original Trilogy, Empire Strikes Back, wouldn't you like to know what happens with the bounty hunter on Ord Mantell that Han mentions? And even better, have a visual of what happens.

Basically, my point is, the art may be bad in your opinion, the acting could be horrid, blah blah blah. But despite all this, if you really are a fan, you would stop complaining about those things and appreciate the story they give us and the visuals to those stories. :)

ok i have this this is kind of retarded starwars was finished when they made the last remake of star wars 1 2 and 3 after that there were acouple movies after that and if you watched them you would no what happened threw out the series. really there is no point on telling us about the little things that happned that we didn't see threw out the series because we all no ankian turns evil and then his son and daughter save everyone and it wa over if there we going to make a new movie there should start with a new part of the series to bring it back but other than that there really is no point to contiueing the starswars movies,

If they added a whole new story line to star wars that would take away from the original saga that tells the story of Darth Vader and his offspring. I can see where some of you come at saying that there shouldn't have been a one, two, or three, but that helps tell how Darth Vader became bad and why. It also tells where star wars is coming from. I agree, stick to making more video games. Those are less known, and don't mess with the original story-line. Episode three ended everything with a resounding clang and it should have stopped there, it summed everything up.

The movies have hardly been the alpha and omega of Star Wars. Ever since A New Hope, there have been comics and novels out. All of them expand the setting. This whole "extended universe is evil" schtick is futile. The clone wars covered three years. That's more than plenty of room between the novels, comics and cartoons to work on enriching the setting. Just remember that the movies are all about Anakin. Anakin has never been the sole spotlight character throughout any of the other mediums.

I personally am looking foreward to watching Ahsoka, and my favorite darksider Asajj, get some (more for Asajj) exposure.

Also remember that the usual tactic for exploring a Star Wars species is to spotlight a hot chick of that species. :)
