Star Wars: The Clone Wars

LucasFilm has released the theatrical one-sheet for Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Meanwhile, USA Today has published a new photo of a double lightsaber-weilding pale, bald sith named Asajj Ventres, who previously appeared in the 2D Clone Wars animated series.

The official plot synopsis reads: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala, are on the front lines of an intergalactic struggle between good and evil, along with brand new heroes like Anakin’s padawan learner, Ahsoka. Sinister villains – led by Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous – are poised to rule the galaxy. Stakes are high, and the fate of the Star Wars universe rests in the hands of the daring Jedi Knights. Their exploits lead to action-packed battles and astonishing new revelations.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars will hit theaters on August 15th 2008. The movie eads directly in to this fall’s premiere of a weekly computer-animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series on Cartoon Network.

As a Star Wars fan, I have to ask, whats the point (you know, other than money)?

I thought the Clone Wars were wrapped up nicely in the 2-D cartoon. I feel like thats what this is, really. The 2-D cartoon remade in CGI.

I love Star wars, but damn, I think we all have Star Wars fatigue. Just stop making new stuff, please!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it ended there with Episode III.

yeah, i love star wars, but it feels like they are just milking it now. this new thing seems kinda childlike. i think they should stick to just making new games

    I’m kinda surprised it isn’t in 3d.

I really dislike the art direction, and Star Wars needs to die. It should have died in 1983 with Return of the Jedi.
