Iron Man 2 in 2010

At the Hollywood premiere of Iron Man, Viacom/CBS Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey told Entertainment Tonight that if the movie does as well as expected, Paramount will greenlight a sequel for the same week in 2010. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader already holds claim to the “first weekend of the summer” (May 7, 2010), but Iron Man 2 could easily open a week earlier on Friday, April 30th 2010 if all goes well.

Also Downey’s trainer, Brad Bose, told IESB that he starts training with Downey just after this final premiere in Los Angeles, stating that he will have Downey ready to wear the suit again in just 5 months. Sounds to me like the contracts are all but signed, and everyone is ready to go.

The studio is telling people they would be happy with anything higher than $70 million. /Film Box Office Analyst Steve Mason is predicting $102 million for Thursday through Sunday. So unless something goes terribly wrong at the box office this weekend, expect Iron Man 2 to go into production in early 2009.

so have all u speculators given up on your theories yet? marvel has type cast all of the original avengers and let out a release date for the avengers movie, so a thor movie, captain america movie, an ant movie (includes wasp) hulk movie (done, with cameos) iron man movies 1 & 2 done (cameos), so there are your originals. funny i saw a sub-mariner release date as well. need him to find cap. america and u need human torch to find sub-mariner, oh yeah they made a fantastic four movie so they are covered there too. relax people im sure marvel knows what they are doing, maybe it all wont be exactly the comics but they have to attract an age of viewers that didn't grow up with that knowledge.

at the end of the new hulk you see tony start come in and thats kind of where it left off and on ironman 2 he will be getting the team together first starting off with the hulk and caption america, but no info yet on the villian I will get back with ya when I find out more info

I really hope they get Tony and Pepper together she was my favorite in the movie. Technacly she was the hero she killed Obadia. As for the acholism thing I really hope they are not that stupid. It just makes Tony look bad and Tony Stark is a very likeable person and it will just make him look like any other rich guy. I think its cool how he is rich yet he can work on his own car. It would be cool tho to have him recovering from some alment and have Pepper by his side every minute (not that she isnâ€™t already). I think that would be a great way to get them closerâ€¦
