20th Century Fox has released two new photos from the X-Files sequel, X-Files: I Want to Believe. These photos like the last batch contain huge plot spoilers (off screen, of course). The photo above of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully takes place in a vatican church after they just discovered that the Pope is actually an alien from another planet, who when shot turns into a werewolf. The photo below shows Mulder and Scully in the office looking towards the door because a four legged man eating fish is breaking through. Someone needs to tell director Chris Carter to stop releasing all these spoilers. I mean, who’s going to want to see the movie if everything has been ruined for us in the marketing materials! </sarcasm>
Discuss: With all the spoiler-filled images being released, are you still at all excited to see X-Files: I Want to Believe?

“I want to believe”
So believe already. After nine seasons of fighting monsters and aliens and mutant serial killers you’re still not ready to go ahead and believe?
Seriously though, so many shows have ripped of X-Files since it went off the air that I suspect this movie will suffer from a huge case of “been there done that.”

That would be the greatest thing ever if those descriptions were in fact what was actually going on in the photos. Hilarious Peter. Hilarious.

Didn’t that second photo come out like a month or two ago? I know for fact I saw it before, a while back.

They are spoiler photos! I think I saw a secret code on one of the books behind the computer. It’s probably a numerologically composed alpha decoder for the surprise ending!

Gonna agree with Enrique here, I’ve already seen that second photo :\
But yea, there’s not gonna be anything left to spoil by the time the movie gets released at this rate!

you are wrong, peter. in the second picture they are actually looking at a FIVE legged man eating fish. can you not see it!? get your facts straight.

Oh man…Are they really going to call it “X-Files: I Want to Believe”?
Who the hell thought of that title? I love X-Files, but c’mon…They couldn’t think of anything better than that?

Also…Bob’s remarks were awesome.
“So believe already. After nine seasons of fighting monsters and aliens and mutant serial killers you’re still not ready to go ahead and believe?”

At Trebek:
Well, it’s not entirely cheesy and all. If you pay attention to Mulder’s office, he’s got a poster with a picture of a UFO and the words: “I WANT TO BELIEVE”. So that’s where it comes from.
Now, from this there are two possibilities.
1) You already knew this and think it is lame anyway OR
2) You are now enlightened and love the name more than life.
Either way. *shrug* =P

its very simple. if you are a fan of the show you’ll like the movie and if you aren’t DON’T WATCH…… as for me i can’t wait.

…
Aah! no! Now the movie is spoiled for me. Jeeze… thanks alot.
:)
Awesome ’spoilers’. Awesome pictures. July 25th isn’t coming fast enough.
[Public Fangirl moment: When I went to see Iron Man, the X Files poster was hanging in the theater lobby. I started hyperventilating and shrieking, "Look! LOOK! It's COMING!" while jumping up and down hysterically. (more or less...) My father and brother, however, just shrugged, exchanged a Look, and went to buy popcorn and sedatives.]

If you don’t like the title or aren’t excited about the movie please shut up! The title makes sense! don’t ruin for the rest of us who are excited. Some of you act like your views matter! I am excited I like the title, and no matter how much you complain on here it’s not going to change anyones mind.
