Gotham City Assistant District Attorney Rachel Dawes has publicly announced her (expected) support behind Harvey Dent for Gotham City District Attorney. Check out the video below, part of The Dark Knight viral campaign, which features the first video of Maggie Gyllenhaal as Dawes. The character was played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins.

This viral campaign is so brilliant. Kudos to all involved.

    I believe.

god bless you christopher nolan…this is gonna be so much fun!

btw, i never noticed how much holmes & gyllenhall look alike in the face.

    They kind of do OC.

But for the most part I think Mrs. Darko is the better actress. I also don’t find her to be obnoxious. Holmes was the only thing I didn’t like about BB.

…………..was it just me or was that terrible acting?

  7. Gravatar

    Not just you Penn..
That acting suck, but then again it was probably filmed in a rush.

    BJ,

That’s pretty much what politicians and city officials sound exactly like. If anything they “nailed” it. Watch any actual footage involving these city officials and it’s what it looks and sounds like.

  9. Gravatar

    I believe in Dent!

    … and in Harvey also…

Let’s hope this new batman movie does well, wouldn’t mind seeing Christian Bale at least doing one more to make a trilogy.

  11. Gravatar

Does anyone think that she acted EXACTLY like Mrs. Cruise acting??

city officials are supposed to be kind of blunt and curt with the media.

maggie , too much smiling. the smiling and near giggling in the middle detracts from the seriousness and urgency of your statement. and the obvious cheese cg background…ugh. but im just nitpicking.

this will be the greatest hero flick ever made.

  13. Gravatar

    that’s really cool

might as well have been watching katie holmes though…i was never that fussed about seeing the character of ms dawes return as i though she’d had her arc but i makes sense that she would introduce bruce to dent. i’m surprised that there are two people who’ve already commmented and think gyllenhall’s an improvement - she’s a better actress no doubt but i think the improvement is all in your mind

lay off of Katie holmes and maggie, give a few years and they’ll be good actresses, well honestly i thought maggie was a good actress this whole time, but katie the only way she’ll be good is if she leaves tom cruise, hes controlling her career choices, also there had better be more videos like this leading up to the films release maybe amatuer video footage of the joker or batman, or maybe a report on harvey dents life changing accident

I BELIEVE IN TWO THINGS TOO….JUSTICE AND GOTHAM CITY……I BELIEVE IN HARVEY DENT….NIIIIIICE ONE JAKE’S SISTER

  18. Gravatar

eww eww and eww… she should not be in the movie. they cast her just becasue she looks and sounds like Holmes

  19. Gravatar

    I believe in Arthur Dent.
    I mean Harvey Dent!

  20. Gravatar

I like Katie better. Feels pathetic and she looks old and weird.
Katie was perfect Mags feels like Harley Quinn.

  21. Gravatar

I cannot finish the video because its so bad. Maggie cant act and she looks like Clayface.

  22. Gravatar

    YYUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK
