Sometimes I’m not quite sure we post these first look photos. Because sometimes a set photo of Jennifer Aniston just looks like Jennifer Aniston wearing jogging shorts, and sometimes Matt Damon just looks like Matt Damon in military scrubs. But for some reason or another we post them. Sometimes it’s the lemming theory where one movie website shoots and the others domino, or sometimes, like today, news is just so damn slow, that it becomes a choice of posting this or a story about Paul Schneider and Kerry Fox being cast in Bright Star. We refuse to post news that doesn’t interest us on /Film, so a Paul Greengrass film starring Matt Damon will win out 9 out of 10 times.

Based on Rajiv Chandrasekaran book (Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone), Paul Greengrass’ Green Zone stars Matt Damon as a CIA officer on the hunt for traces of WMDs. Green Zone is scheduled to hit theaters in 2009.

I see your dilemma, but this is very interesting. The pairing of Greengrass and Damon is always a good thing
Howzabout we set Bourne onto those f***ers who are ATTEMPTING to spoof Superbad

Is this the movie where Greengrass finally uses a steady cam?

Peter,
Great photos. Don’t know if you’ve seen the early video that surfaced a few weeks back, but it’s worth a watch. Came from CBS of all places!?!

WOW is that Matt Damon? With all the make-up and a bad ass never before seen haircut, I couldn’t even tell it was him… looks like another Damon MASTERPIECE!

@ Nick
I was just about to say the exact same thing until I read your comment.

Don’t believe a picture or a word that Hollywood generates about Iraq (or 9/11). Liars all….and your mind is the target.

I would like to see just one movie where Ms. Damon doesn’t take his shirt off. Think that’s gonna happen in my lifetime?
April 3rd, 2008 at 9:59 am
@Kevin
How can someone believe what Hollywood is saying about Iraq when no one goes and sees their movies about Iraq?
April 3rd, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Matt Damon blew my cover.

@Peter
We are now forced to pull all of our field operatives code named Miller because of this film.
Peter Sciretta, you will now be subject to a seemingly random IRS audit, then flown to Turkey to be water boarded , then flown back to the USA to be audited again. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

Ran across this while doing a search on Jen.
Captain Awesome:
if he doesn’t buy himself a steady cam I’m going to stop seeing his movies. A little of the shaky cam is fine, but after while it’s just annoying.
Wonder if he knows you can lease them too?

The damn movie is being made in morroco, hollywood is stupied and think that the people who will watch this movie are stupied like them. You want the real story the real life experience! Than talk to real people who lived and experienced the real thing. Not the hollywood crap
