The campaign dates for Gotham D.A. hopeful Harvey Dent’s “Dentmobile” tour have been revealed on The Dark Knight character’s official site. We’ve posted the tour’s city dates, which kicked off today in New York City, Houston, Columbus (Ohio), Chicago, and Los Angeles and treads both coasts but leaves the Midwest a little ignored, after the jump for your convenience. If any Slashfilm readers make it out there, we’d love to see some good photos, so email them to orfilms[@]gmail.com.

The latest effort in the snowballing viral marketing for Aaron Eckhart’s duel roles as Harvey Dent and Two Face in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins sequel, following the actor’s recent prerecorded phone call, no images of the actual Dentmobile have surfaced, but we’ll be sure to let you know. Wish I could have gone today. Unfortunately I work in a little under an hour. What a waste! I could have seen the Dentmobile!

  4. Gravatar

Wish I could be there. I’m in a city that is universily hated by Dark Knight fans so i think they skipped us on purpose.

Would be great if someone gets video of Harvey Dent doing a political speech!

  5. Gravatar

I’ll be there tomorrow, so I’ll snag some pics then. Hollywood Chicago has some pics up from the 3 minute long first stop in Chicago comprised of the guy that got the Chicago cake phone and the only other guy there.

aaron eckhart is probably not gonna be at any of the events…hes probably already forgot his lines from the dark knight…thats just the way actors have to be…he’ll embrace all the fame he gets from playing harvey dent and having his face plastered all over the united states by obsessed fans but he wont show up at all the events…i would atleast think he would show in LA for a speech or NY on the today show….maybe if it were closer to the release date of TDK we would see more of the actors involved in the viral marketing but for now all were getting is the puppet masters of the greatest marketing campaign to ever hit this earth…I WISH THEY WOULD PULL A GOOD OLE JOKER TRICK AND BUMP THE MOVIE UP TO LIKE….NEXT WEEK…BECAUSE IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE THEY ANNOUNCED THE JOKER AT THE END OF BEGINS….I DONT HAVE THE PATIENCE TO WAIT ANY LONGER…2 WEEKS IS ROUGH TO GET MORE INFO LET ALONE F*CKING MID JULY…JEEZ…NOLAN I HAVE FULL CONFIDENCE IN YOU BUT JEEZ MAN TARGET A REALISTIC DATE FOR THE FANS….U COULD PUT THIS MOVIE OUT NEXT MONTH IF U REALLY WANTED TO….UR DONE ALREADY I BET…I RATHER WATCH IT IN IMAX THEN ON MY COMPUTER WHEN SOMEONE STEALS A COPY….

Nick, I;ll be at the one in Austin as well! =D

What I really love about the schedule is it stops in South Bend IN. Nothing against the town, but nothing is in South Bend. I go to Notre Dame, which is right next to it, so its sweet for me to go instead of getting to Chicago, but what an odd spot to choose! Grassroots campaign I guess….

And of course Canada is left out (I mean not even Toronto?)

    @ Nickoli and The Addict

Sweet dudes. Please email pics to us tomorrow if possible. Any funny pics from the event are appreciated in advance as well.

    Yeah, so about that…

(from my post on the Superherohype boards)
So I went to find the NYC stop in SoHo this morning, and here’s how it worked out.

I went up and down the entireties of Ludlow, Essex, and Allen for literally an hour from 10:45 - 11:45 and couldn’t find anything. No sign of the van. So I hop in the car and am about to make the turn onto Delancey St. towards the Williamsburg Bridge, when opposite me, making a left is the Dentmobile. I go to make a U-turn, but no dice - there’s a cop there. So I make it around the block in time to catch up with the van, and then as the van goes across the intersection, I’m blocked by 2 firetrucks. At this point I had to leave, but I’m pretty pissed right now. Totally lame.
