2007: A Year For Drama

Matt Shapiro put together this incredible montage of clips in this short film entitled “”2007: A Year For Drama”. Set to the song “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova as featured in the movie Once, Shapiro reminds us of all the great films of this past year. Writing for a movie blog usually is a forward thinking occupation, but watching this clip makes me remember just how much I loved some of the films last year. It reminds me just how much I love movies in general. I’m not quite sure why clips from I Am Legend made the mix, but that aside from that, this short film is nothing short of incredible. Watch the clip after the jump.

Ah, very cool. It also makes me want to see Once a lot. I wonder if Blockbuster has it…

Holy crap, that was fantastic. Thanks for sharing it with us. I think I’ve seen all but 3 or 4 of those… brought back some good memories.

    That was really good.

and I’m happy with the amount of those movies which I saw this year, and the the only ones that I didn’t see weren’t playing within 50 miles of me…but overall very awesome…and really made me happy that Netflix just delivered Once today

That just reminds me that I really need to see a lot I missed. Across the Universe’s limited rollout really messed with me (I was all ready to go see it… the wrong weekend), and how come I’m Not There never went wide?

“I Am Legend” deserves to be there, it’s a very good movie. Beautiful video.
