We have yet to get a real glimpse of the Cloverfield monster, but we all will soon enough. Paramount is holding sneak preview screenings of the film on Tuesday night, January 15th in select cities across North America. But these screenings are NOT OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. You need to have a pass to attend. How do you get a pass? Sheck your local newspapers and stores, listen to your local morning radio shows, for contests because passes will be hard to come by.
I have compiled a list of links below which includes 38 contests in 27 cities where you can enter to win a pair of tickets. Just remember, just because you enter, doesn’t mean you win. You show up without a pass, they won’t let you in. And even if you win, it doesn’t mean you’re going to see the movie. Admission is first come first serve, and people are always turned away at the door (for even the crappiest of movies) and this movie has big buzz. So, show up damn early! Good Luck!

Why none in NYC? Or Upper new jersey?
January 6th, 2008 at 10:20 am
The movie takes place in New York City / New York and there’s no screenings in New York City / New York. I find that kind of sutpid..
January 6th, 2008 at 10:46 am
lol, totally agree Felipe and eric. how can they not have screenings in NYC?! maybe slashfilm just doesn’t have it up, but that’s weird.
January 6th, 2008 at 11:23 am
There’s no screening anywhere near Los Angeles either. Maybe it was my comments.
January 6th, 2008 at 11:32 am

January 6th, 2008 at 1:50 pm

I feel like I heard recently in a review that the monster’s face looked a lot like a humans…only with red eyes. but I could be nutzors…
January 6th, 2008 at 2:34 pm

Incredibly stupid… they have a screening in montreal but the contest rules says the following:

How ca you go to the screening if you are not allow to participate???

Surprising that there are no New York or LA Screenings. There’s probably a reason for it but it’s kind of disappointing.
Anyone know where the premiere of this thing is happening? One might assume it’d be in New York considering the location of the movie.

Just so you guys know, this is NOT a complete list of all the cities hosting the preview. I am from Pittsburgh and all I had to do was GOOGLE!!!!!!! “Cloverfield 15th Pittsburgh” and guess what… A CONTEST LINK APPEARED! Start looking around, I am sure you will find something if you live in/near a decent size city…

January 7th, 2008 at 7:46 am
Idiots!
The tickets for Montreal showing send you to a teenhollywood.com - where the rules state that if you live in Quebec, you can’t enter.
Umh…Montreal is IN Quebec!
January 7th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
So there are 38 screenings in 27 cities, but none of them occur in New York, Chicago, or LA?
January 8th, 2008 at 7:55 am
I must be the only person who reads all the comments before making my own, either that or people from NYC are somehow stupider than the rest of us.
THE LIST IS NOT DEFINITIVE.
I can’t wait for this film!
January 8th, 2008 at 8:34 am
I hope it’s a guy in a hokey rubber suit stomping on a toy city.
January 10th, 2008 at 11:57 pm
What if the advanced screening isn’t going to be the actual movie. and just another clue.
January 12th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
I just got two passes for the Seattle preview event. Weirdly enough, they mysteriously showed up on my desk at work with no note/explanation and nobody knows who left them. Just letting you know, there’s a Seattle event sponsored by 106.1 KissFM
