A Better Look at The Incredible Hulk

The Incredible Hulk

SHH has a better look at the new Hulk (seen above) from the upcoming Universal reboot/sequel The Incredible Hulk, which is due in theaters on June 13th 2008. I know that fanboys were upset with Ang Lee’s version of the character, particularly the special effects in the now infamous Superbowl advertisement. I was never really disappointed in the look of Lee’s Hulk (the story however…). I cant wait to see what the new Hulk looks like in motion. Edward Norton supposedly did the performance capture for the big green guy.

What do you guys think of the new Hulk?

  • That, sir, is muscular, to say the least.

I guess it's close to the comic, cause as someone who's never read those, the jean shorts and haircut aren't really my first choice.

Not to say that he doesn't look freakin X-Core. Yeah, that's right, X-Core. That's like exponentially higher than H-Core.
  • So I guess we get a Superbowl teaser for this one, too?
  • Allynd Dudnikov
    he looks fucking great.
  • cameron
Looks like the Green Giant guy from the corn can mated with Rivers Cuomo.
  • Ok, is it just me or is the Hulk wearing Daisy Dukes? I mean, I'm all for doing away with the oversized purple shorts Banner wears whenever he transforms into the Hulk, but tight, short-shorts? Umm, no, let's rethink that one and pronto.
  • Thomas
    its like:

dooooooooo me is hulk. big and zombielike just as we love him
  • Aw, c'mon, of course it looks good, that's clearly a painting... let's see some CG, dagnamit! And like Peter, I thought the Ang Lee CG Hulk was awesome... the story... eh.
  • sarah
Ang Lee's Hulk was too neon green. It would have been better if he was Ninja Turtle/dark green.

Same dude has the Hulk as part of his Christmas Lights along with Homer Simpson - D'OH - http://www.komar.org/cgi-bin/christmas_webcam

You people do realize that his shorts cut off at below the knee, right? look closely now.
  • LP
The artwork looks like it was done by Dale Keown, who did some of the best Hulk work while at Marvel. I hope the CGI work will match the intensity of the artwork.
  • Sorg, guess I'm one of "those people" you refer to, because I don't see his shorts being cut off at the knee. You may be right, but the artist obviously didn't do enough (e.g, texture or color) to distinguish the Hulk's skin from the pants he's wearing (or not wearing).

Either way, I expect we'll see more art from the production. I, for one, can't wait to see the Hulk in action. I expect/hope he'll be an improvement from the version we saw four years ago.
  • LP
His pant is cut off below the knee. The low res image doesn't allow you to really see the ragged edges. Also notice a cloth fold around the right knee area. That's something that doesn't exist in real life. If that area was bare, you would have noticed more veins and rippling muscles (a la his arm)

lets just hope ( HULK ) is all action and no talkie movie,
to me he's already off to a good start with an incredible-cast ; I really can't see how it can go wrong this time. What ever they were thinking of with Ang Lee at directing ? the man is a over dramatic director .
Now with Letterior at bat . "I think us ( HULK ) fans -our dream movie is finally here;" I just hope the movie gets all the hype, exposure & advertisement it deserves, not judge it by it's current 2003 failure...
  • Looks really cool
