The Joker International Dark Knight Poster

Yesterday we posted a cool new International movie poster for The Dark Knight which featured Batman overlooking a city (which many people believe to be Tokyo). Today we’re treated to part two of this potential series. Enter Heath Ledger as The Joker, who is walking the streets. Check out this awesome new poster after the jump.

    Peter,

I posted it earlier but you removed it. I just figured you didn't want another guy's site on yours, but you can view the post at:

Does Batman go to Hong Kong/Tokyo in order to discover the Joker's origins?
  • Clarence Somerset
Oh wow, are those TwoFace pictures real??
  • Clarence Somerset
Well, having seen the trailer, lemme guess that Joker successfully frames Batman with his hoard of 'fake' Batmen so our hero becomes a fugitive.

    A.J. and others.

The pictures of Aaron Eckhert as TwoFace on rated-m are FAKE! At least the second one is, which leads me to believe that both are.

The second picture where Eckhert is being strangled from behind with a garrote wire by a man in glasses with a dark slender person facing him is an altered screen shot from a climactic scene in 2006's The Black Dahlia. If you have seen the movie you will remember that the scene takes place at the top of a staircase. Hartnett is a few steps behind running up the stairs. The dark figure whose back we see is actually a disguised Hilary Swank.

They say that Batman is the world's greatest detective. Today, it might be me.

Is the brightly-lit chsmber in the trailer the new bat cave?
  • pat
Clarence Somerset, yes but it's basically a temporary bat cave. Remember, the mansion was destroyed in Begins and Dark Knight starts almost right where Begins ended. The cave that he's using is basically a modified loft that bruce owns. Movie 3 will more likely than not have the mansion rebuilt and a decked out cave.

Just saw the 6 minute short...I was speechless guys - nolan is just one of the best. Side note: I am legend kicked ass!

This film will have some heavy expectations ... but I expect Nolan to deliver. Who knows? Ledger might even be nominated for an Oscar if he Really shines.
  • kevin ding
heth ledger...are you f**king kidding me!! what is this brokeback f**ckin batman!!! hes hooorbile for this role your all retarded!!
  • Orange cinema
clarence: ignore kevins 'eloquent & homophobic' post. I'm with you & I posted the same oscar question on imdbpro, but got my head ripped off too. I compared the hype and anticipation of Heath/joker to that of Depp/cap'n jack. Who knows if it'll be recieved the same way, but I'm hoping for ledger to get acclaim from critics and not just the bat-fans.
  • Captain Awesome
    Clarence,

The "cave" you see in the new trailer is just a temporary space Bruce sets up. Since the mansion and the batcave went through that explosion in Begins.

His home away from home as he rebuilds his new pimp palace and original batcave.
  • Clarence Somerset
    I see.

So Joker and his fake Batmen frames Batman (thus the Bat signal getting thrashed) so Batman goes to Hong Kong and Tokyo (?) to investigate the Joker's mysterious past (or is it revealed initially)...

I guess the climax will be psychological. Its the only way to defeat this Joker. And Nolan's good at it,
  • JokerFish
I think that Tokyo just has cool buildings, they said they want Gotham to look like a worldly city...But if they do the Bruce goes to Hong Kong he might be looking for Harvey Dent because he disapeers after being burnt??batman needs him for some reason in the end??too obvious probably...
  • Clarence Somerset
Why's the trailer still not online???

Nolan said he'll be revealing the Joker's backstory at the start, right? Gee, I'd rather he don't - let Batman discover how he came about.
