I was at Sundance in 2004 when Morgan Spurlock took over the festival with his documentary Super Size Me. Four years later, Spurlock returns to Park City with Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden?, a film documenting the director’s search for the most wanted man on the planet. The Weinstein Co quickly snapped up the documentary, after seeing only 15 minutes at the Berlin Film Festival. Distributors who saw the footage were asked to sign draconian nondisclosure agreements.
Many people are speculating that Spurlock may have done what the U.S. government has been unable to do, and actually found Bin Laden. The film’s director of photography, Daniel Marricone added fuel to the fire, telling the press that Spurlock “definitely got the holy grail.” Not much information has leaked about the film, and even the director is keeping quiet. When asked if the rumors, Spurlock would only say “Until there’s something to see, why talk about it?”
“I wanted to make a film about a subject that we all want to know the answer to,” he recently told the LA Times.
The photo above is the first thing to be released from the production. Spurlock shot nearly 800 hours of digital footage while exploring “every nook and cranny of the Middle East” on a quest. I found a video clip on YouTube of Spurlock talking about the film at the 2007 South By Southwest Film Festival. Watch that clip below.
Where In The World Is Osama Bin Laden? is tentatively scheduled for release in theaters in the spring.

Lookin forward to this; Spurlock is awesome, hopefully this film finally helps dispel a lot of negative Middle East/Islamic stereotypes.

Well, I know he was here in Jerusalem last year. I saw him. I’m pretty confident that Bin Laden isn’t in Israel. ;)

I look forward to this film and it’s great that Spurlock and Jimmy Norton have collaborated on a film!
December 3rd, 2007 at 8:34 am
Great, he may have found bin Laden, but what difference will that make? None I guess.
A CIA asset for many years, bin Laden isnt the most difficult person to find for any of the security services. But what is the point? He isnt even wanted by the FBI for 911 crimes, which point to him being a patsy.
December 3rd, 2007 at 10:01 am
We have to wait until SPRING?!? Argh, it’s killing me…great post.
December 3rd, 2007 at 11:02 am
Bullshit, he is wanted by the FBI.

Bin Laden was actually on the FBI top ten list prior to 9/11, so technically Chirox could be right… but still… Bullshit.
December 3rd, 2007 at 4:54 pm
Yea, he found me. It was my day off and I was in the garden. Was in a good mood and gave a little interview. It was the reson for my black beard in my last video. I wanted to look good for his movie, and thought it made me look younger. It was nice to be in front of the camera again and inspired me to make my own video(with my new black beard). Anyway, I wont be able to make the premeire. I hope you understand. Anyway…gotta run, I have some fatwas to issue and some audio work to do Take care……oh and Death to America

December 4th, 2007 at 10:14 am
Why not collect the 25 million dollars the US Government has for turning him in? I’m surprised we don’t have some bounty hunters over there right now…. isn’t capitalism and the free market great?
December 4th, 2007 at 2:00 pm
Alex said: “I’m surprised we don’t have some bounty hunters over there right now…. isn’t capitalism and the free market great?”
What exactly does a government bounty have to do with the free market?
December 4th, 2007 at 2:24 pm
Well,
Perhaps not the pure free market. But it goes with the approach of the government setting a course and private industry finding a way to meet the bar without needless regulation or hand holding.
Simply put; go find Osama, drag his bony ass out of whatever shit-hole he’s inhabiting and collect your 25 mil…

Don’t you dare try and get me. I won my own country fair and square. Your wonderfull King Bush and Pakistan ruler agreed in September 2006 to let me have my own country called warizistan. Look it up yourselves. I gave Morgan a break cause I like supersize me, but you I give no break too. Have a nice day.
Oh, and Death to America(sorry but it’s tradition, and I have a reputation of sorts to maintain I hope you understand)

Yeah stick it to the man Morgan! You’re so edgy!
I mean who would have thought you would get fat and unhealthy by eating 10,000 calories a day? Surely you can prove your political point by making millions of dollars peddling your documentaries to one of those non consumer-based societies!
Like the Middle East! Wow, they contribute so much to mankind, don’t they!
December 5th, 2007 at 2:33 am
Ah, die photo shown above reminds me of my own holidays in Egypt a few years ago. Don’t forget to bargain for the camel ride’s price!
December 5th, 2007 at 12:07 pm
well I would suspect this is going to be quite interesting,. If OBL was somehow behind the 9/11 attacks there sure is a lack of any evidence to it,. infact all the evidence points to the conclution that the PNAC neo-cons pulled 9/11 to move america away from freedom and towards a corparate/fascist security state,. . with unlimited millitary contracts to hand out to all they buddies,. . and no regulations on corporate coruption and the systems of american radical consumerism that brings planetary devistation. but that could just be my reading of it,. .
December 5th, 2007 at 1:04 pm
jph wacheski Says: …but that could just be my reading of it,. .
HAHAHAHHEEEEEEEEHEHEHHEEEHHHAAAAAAAHAHA That’s hysterical.
i’m in 100% agreement with you.
if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…
December 5th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
jo and jph - I’m not sure if you are right or wrong. Personally, I tend to agree that the whole thing was, if not aided and abetted by the CIA, at least allowed to happen by the powers that be. The sad thing is that you and me aren’t lone nuts. We may be nuts, but we’re not lone by any means, and the fact that a significant percentage of the American public can concieve of a government that would do that to its own people is just sad right off the bat.
December 5th, 2007 at 9:36 pm
Hey, you tin foil nuts, how about a little credit here huh? I DID it! With the help of Allah of course. Want some proof that Allah helped with my dasterdly but ingenius plan? I told Hani Hanjour to fly into the first floor of the pentagon. Not the side D Rumsfeld was on but to fly around the pentagon to the other side(I kinda like Rummy)This Hani Guy freaks out, “yea, he says, I have an expired fake FAA liscense but we both know, I can’t even fly a single engine cessna, they wont even rent me one.” I say Allah will take care of it. He believed, and on 9/11 he did a 330 degree turn while dropping tens of thousands of feet in seconds, then flew 500 mph a few inches off the ground while knocking over lightpoles, an hour and a half after we had already hit the towers…perfect! And there is your PROOF that Allah is with us, and I am a genius. I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m bragging if Morgan uses my speech of how proud I am of Hani, because Allah really deserves the credit. Now give me some credit for having faith in Hani and Allah and my brilliant plan! ….Oh…and Death to America.

Why collect the 25 million dollar bounty when he could make double that or more off of the film?
December 6th, 2007 at 12:08 am
Much like Morgan, I also traveled to the Middle East on a great journey to find an elusive treasure. I had no coordinates and no real “plan.” No guides, no itineraries, no maps. But I felt confident that, given the historic significance of the region, there had to be lots of boxes of money or jewels buried all over the Middle East. After six months, three sexually transmitted diseases, and two attempts on my life, I came back to the U.S. with nothing but a bad case of ballsackitis - a painful condition where sand rubs all over the ballsack area and causes them to become horribly inflamed. The American Dermatological Society found out about my case and asked me to allow them to pay me for photos of my grossly inflamed balls and taint area. In return, I got $100 and a subscription to Inflamed Balls Monthly. Honestly though, I would have preferred to find a couple of boxes of money in the sand.

Spurlock finding bin Laden will only underline the extent to which the US intelligence services have gone to make sure they *don’t* find him. At least, that is, until his usefulness has diminished to the point where “capturing” him as a PR stunt becomes politically viable.
December 6th, 2007 at 7:35 am
if he did find Bin Laden then it proves that America is sooo shit at finding anything !! If They want him they would get ahold of S.A.S because they are the best in the WORLD !! And thats a fact !!
But as we all know the Laden Family and the Bush family go back a long way…hmmmm maybe Bush set it up ?? sounds logical to me !!
December 6th, 2007 at 10:08 am
Actually it was I who led Spurlock to Bin L a a a a a a den. Spurlock tricked me into thinking he was doing a do o o o o o o cumentary on the sexual abuse of my fellow sheep by al queda members and wanted me to point him to the ring leader. Spurlock is a b a a a a a a a a a a d man.
Death to middle eastern Sheep sodomy!

i thought bin laden pulled 9/11 to retaliate against the US for supporting israel and saudi arabia… i think this because HE SAID SO IN THE FUCKIN VIDEO. that sure looked like a duck. oh i forgot, the video was a forgery that the US government, who flawlessly executed 9/11, also made. they just didn’t count on some conspiracy theorists and college kids to be able to see through the sheep’s clothing on that one. but alas, 9/11 was pulled off with military precision without a single person blowing the whistle, not even for money. i guess if it were something REALLY serious like spying on the democratic party hq, then we would have some whistleblowers.
December 8th, 2007 at 9:33 am
Howard - because he said so?! lol I suppose you speak arabic?
If you look at all into the EVIDENCE of 9/11 you will find it very hard to belive the official conspiracy theory.
The evidence just does not back up the story put forward by the Cheney Junta,. building 7 ( wtc7.net ) the physics does not lie,. buildings don’t just fall down from a fire,. plane or no plane,. fire was the reason given in all three buildings,. and fire does not explain the video evidence,. follow the money find the culprit! PNAC pulled 9/11 !
December 8th, 2007 at 2:03 pm
jph… ugh… okay i admit my arabic is probably as good as your knowledge of structural engineering. you may not like reading this but i’d like to know where your ‘facts’ come from: http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html?page=5
see building 7. and fire can take down a building if it burns long enough to render the steel structure malleable and therefore unable to support the load it’s supposed to bear.
December 8th, 2007 at 5:53 pm
Kola Boof, the self-professed ex-mistress of bin Ladin, has claimed that she was interrogated at the Pentagon about her supposed former lover, and that she passed along the tip — from “the Arab grapevine” — that he was in south Waziristan. She revealed this to the public, however, only after John Lehman of the 9-11 commission had said the same thing.
For an eye-opening insight into the veracity of this would-be bin Ladin hanger-on, see http://kolaspoof.blogspot.com.

“…hopefully this film finally helps dispel a lot of negative Middle East/Islamic stereotypes.”
Stereotypes….you mean like how islamists fly commercial jetliners into buildings, killing thousands of people? Those kinds of stereotypes? Oh wait…that isn’t a stereotype, it’s true.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:37 am
jph,
fire weakens steel….weakened steel collapses….weight and momentum brings down the building. building 7 burned unattended all day long 0n 9/11 before finally collapsing from massive damage from falling debris of the adjacent tower and a consuming fire….you’re correct about one thing - physics doesn’t lie. that’s why conspiracy theories are laughable and treated as the jokes they are.
December 10th, 2007 at 8:58 am
Dave Asstx Says:
“Stereotypes….you mean like how islamists fly commercial jetliners into buildings, killing thousands of people? Those kinds of stereotypes? Oh wait…that isn’t a stereotype, it’s true.”
That’s exactly what a stereotype is. Your blaming the entire middle east based on the acts of a few extremist. That would be like saying ALL white americans hang people from trees just because they’re black. no? I mean, it’s true, isn’t it?
December 19th, 2007 at 2:03 pm
As yall President, I are commits myself to every possitual avenue to find Usama Ben Kenobi. But we also be facets with a loomin militaric shortfall cause the Democratics won’t give me money, we still be lookin fer 9-11 mastermind Saddamn Insane in Irak, and we needs to bomb the hell out of 9-11 evil axil madman Abe Auberjonoisdeenajihad and that midget feller in North Kooreeah.
If Morgan Fairchild have finded Usama, we wood knows it, causin we wood waterbored his ass till he threw up his Whoppers.

I just read all of the comments prior, so my input is in response. Its not sad that the government doesn’t care about the people of this country. This is nothing new, what is new is how successful those in power have been in conditioning people to love the state. So and ask yourself, why you love America? Where you raised from an early age to feel such a way? Remember school growing up, a government sponsored and controlled education. I love all people, but I do not love any states or governments, and I certainly think that if people have great power they will use it and always be looking for more. That is one of major problems that the elite class is having with the people of Iraq, if read a little history you will recall that the nation of Iraq was created by the allied states after the first world war. So the nation of Iraq was not created by the people that live there, so they had no connection with it. Because of this the elites had to have the country controlled by a ruthless dictator, ie Saddam. I have read numerous accounts by Iraqis, they haven’t been raised to have a strong love for the state of Iraq, which is beautiful. If we truly pull out of Iraq, the people will work to create a government, it might not look exactly like the elites want it to, but it will be much more sustainable, because it will be created by the people. Reverse your conditioning, don’t trust your government, be critical, ask questions, expect answers, and if it feels like they are lying to you, they probably are

He didn’t find Osama. The person he found was Melvin Higginbottom, a character actor that we used in some of our videos we put out periodically to scare you dimwits. Osama has been dead for some time now. The Osama posting on this board is an imposter using a fake name. Boy, I hate that. I just had to let you know ’cause I believe in informing the American public as much as possible.
December 26th, 2007 at 11:19 pm
Who wants to find bin Laden ???! Then all the wonderful wars would be over ! (or maybe not …?)
January 9th, 2008 at 1:39 am
I just saw this movie tonight! NO JOKE! I got the hook ups here in Salt Lake City. It was pretty cool. What do you all want to know about it?
January 14th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Watch this internet movie and then tell me that 9-11 wasn’t an inside job. It will come up in part 2 of the movie. The rest of the movie is pretty mind boggling as well!

Christ on a Cracker, I’ve stumbled upon a loony left post. You people need to get a grip on yourselves. Anyway Spurlock is a putz. His next movie he eats nothing but Gummy Bears and Starburst for a month and informs us it’s not a healthy so don’t do that. God Bless America for giving you nutbags a place to discuss your conspiracy theories and hatred for the best country in the world.
January 23rd, 2008 at 1:48 pm
You shouldn’t stereotype. Not all Islamo-facists are bad. Only middle eastern ones between the ages of 18 and 35.
February 7th, 2008 at 12:23 am
I died shortly after 9-11 from kidney failure. Peace be upon you all. How’s it going these days in world affairs? Just curious - gets boring here.
February 7th, 2008 at 5:55 am
Of course he didn’t find him. We would have heard about it already on the news. On the other hand, they found Saddam a week prior to when they “found” him. They staged the video that we saw of him for political reasons.
February 14th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
So, anyways, I’m driving Bin Laden in my cab ‘n I get to the front of his cave. He gets out, grabs his dialysis machine, and starts walking away. He’s gonna stiff me! So, I says, “Hey, Sammy, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.” And he says, “Oh, uh, there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, Allah will give you total consciousness.” So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.
March 6th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
Haha! Isn’t “Zeitgeist” that movie that was found to have like, one inconsistency every five seconds or something?
March 26th, 2008 at 5:07 am
Well, Spurlock would be dead for sure if he found him. So this movie is bullshit.

Bullshit, he is wanted by the FBI.

Yes, he is and was wanted before 911, but read that page again dude. The FBI doesn’t list his involvement in 911 on their page. And they’ve stated publicly that they don’t have the evidence to include that crime. So, WTF?
April 5th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
the biggest problem i have with pointing the finger at the bush administration for pulling 9/11, is that it basically says that one of bush’s ideas actually worked out as planned… thereby giving him credit as one of the smartest and most clever presidents in history. oh wait, he’s one of cheney’s puppets. bush/cheney couldn’t even run a country without numerous screw ups and firings, yet they are able to pull off the biggest attack on the US mainland in history without a single person involved having a fit of conscious and blowing the whistle? and how do they pull it off without leaving any sort of paper trail of evidence? that’s just retarded ron paul logic there. get real, the world is an ugly place, the current US administration is ugly, the governments of the middle east are uglier, and the anti-western fundamentalists that they allow to run amok are just as ugly. ochum’s razor. oh wait, maybe charles widmore dug up corpses in thailand and filled them in remote controlled planes to steer into the twin towers. i’m sure bush and cheney secretly love it when people think the government pulled 9/11 cause it just adds to their fearful mystique and makes us more scared of them, gives them more credit than they’re even worth, and distracts us from the real bullshit they’re pulling on the working middle class every day.

I think that some cartoons should make fun of everything that has happened in the last 7-8 years. I remember seeing old cartoons with popeye in WWII. Mickey MOuse, DOnald Duck. It woould be great. PS I like turtles too!
April 27th, 2008 at 12:02 pm
osama is wanted by the FBI but if you look closely at the wanted poster it mentions nothing of 9/11 only that he is wanted for other events and suspected in other terrorist acts.
April 29th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
I just saw the movie. I loved it. It really taught me about the Muslim religion and people around the world. Not every Muslim in the world is a terrorist. It is a small group of individuals that give Islam a bad name. It raises a big question. What do we really want? I think there is no real point in looking for him. His death or capture will just be a waste of ammunition. What needs to end is this hatred that feeds terrorism. This is a broad statement. But I know what it means. Each person has to find there own meaning.
