What if Disney decided to produce live action remakes of their animated classics with top Hollywood stars? How about Rachel Weisz as Snow White? Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella? BeyoncÃ© as Alice in Wonderland? Don’t get worried yet Disney fanatics, these photos are not part of a feature film production, but instead Photographer Annie Leibovit’s Disney Dream Portrait Series which will star appearing in magazines in November. This pictures have been out for at least a year now. I wonder why they haven't been published yet? I had the Cinderella picture as my desktop wallpaper about....eight months ago. Maybe the Snow White and Pinocchio pictures are new--I've seen them all except for those two before.

BEYONCE"?! Come on!!! They are plenty of celebrities out there. Why her?! If I ever saw Beyonce', or any mainstream artist for that matter, in an Alice movie, I'd seriously kill everyone involved in the production!! Ridiculous!

Also, to Nuriko: There are many versions of Alice in Wonderland, and Alice is not always Blonde with Blue Eyes. I don't even think the origianl illustrations pictured her as blonde with blue eyes and book never stated this as a fact!

I think if they were to make live-action Disney movies, they should have open casting calls. I know it would take a while, but if they didn't, they wouldn't be giving the rest of the world half a chance. And I think Rachel as Snow White is great--classic picture.~*~*~*~*

u all need to chill i think beyonce looks perfect as alice! so wat if shes black?! and alice isnt supposd to be a little girl. in the 1997 version of cinderella cinderella, the fairy godmother, and the queen are all black and the prince is asian! it dsnt matter. in disney anything can happen.

i don't mind beyonce as alice, in fact i think its great that annie leibovitz goes beyond the book to recreate the imagination of the disney characters. physical appearance doesn't matter as long as the soul of the character is portrayed beautifully, doesn't everyone agree?
but speaking of portraying the soul of the character, i think beyonce did a terrible job. i see nothing in that picture! the march hare and mad hatter have personality that is brought out, but beyonce is just, staring with this odd look, it looks pretentious! not what i call a good casting. get another afro american celebrity please annie! maybe halle berry?

I agree with the statement that it doesn't matter what Alice looks like as long as the spirit of Alice is portrayed good.
However, I don't think Beyonce embodies that spirit. Alice represents innocence, childhood, imagination, and curiosity, which Beyonce could never portray in a million years!
Heck, I'd cast Keke Palmer before Beyonce and I can't stand her either! XP

Well regardless whether or not Alice is white, I think that in the end, Beyonce is still a HORRIBLE pick for the role. One, she has poor acting capabilities, and two she is too old. I'll take that she may have originally been black, had dark hair, blah blah, but she was also a young girl....which miss Knowles is not. Sorry, you lose. =] And even if Beyonce was made to look younger, her acting still sucks. She would ruin the whole movie. I say here here for little miss Dakota Fanning or better yet, Kyla Pratt. There's a talented young actress who not only looks young enough for the part, but who also has waaay more experience then Beyonce tucked under her belt. =]

And by the way, the picture of the live action Snow White looks lovely. Just dashing. On the downside, that was the most boring Disney movie ever created and it should be canceled; as in, NOT made into a live-action movie. Seriously...I fell asleep on that piece-of-crap-movie everytime someone put it in and I still do.
