The Dark Knight viral website WhySoSerious.com has been updated with a jack-o-lantern. The pumpkin has a huge grin, which appears to be the bat symbol. Could there be a Dark Knight treat in store for us on Halloween? Or is this just holiday window dressing?
Updated: The same pumpkin image appeas on the cover of the popular Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale graphic novel The Long Halloween, which was one of the books which was used as inspiration for The Dark Knight. It is also a personal favorite of current Batman star Christian Bale. The Long Halloween also featured the origin of Two-Face, which is likely mirrored in the new Christopher Nolan film. Um, that “grin” is an outline of a bat.

It´s the exact same jack-o-lantern from the cover of ¨The Long Halloween¨ so we can probably expect something by Halloween.

Hahah, nice. Revising the post after people point out you missed something. ‘Wide Joker-esque grin’ indeed. Good job, Pete.

Let’s hope there will be a treat and that this treat will be a real trailer and not a damned teaser without pictures like last time !

It´s more than likely going to be a poster or a couple of pics. Very unlikely that it would be a trailer since I Am Legend will have a 7 minute long prologue of The Joker.
