Paramount have finally released the teaser trailer for Jon Favreau’s Iron Man. It’s essentially the same exact thing that was shown at Comic Con 2007. Check it out after the jump. Tell me what you think.

Actually although it shares some of the same scenes, it’s quite different. They used a completely different take of the “weapons speech” and I preferred the Comic-Con version MUCH over the one in this trailer.

There was more Iron Monger and terrorist footage in this one, but the only scene that I noticed that was the same, but different is the one I mentioned.

I have to agree. The comic-con footage worked a lot better as far as the “weapons speech” was concerned. I looked for a copy of that video, but it’s been taken down everywhere. :(

It’s funny to see a teaser trailer for a movie like this that saves any footage of the main pull — Iron Man himself — for about half-way through the clip. Isn’t it? Maybe that’s really the average. I don’t know.

Wow so cool! I think this is going to be a fun movie. I thought the trailer worked pretty well despite the esoteric score. I hope that this isn’t the music that will be played during the actual flick, because judging from the trailer it looks like this movie will be able to stand on it’s own. Damn those marketers and their schemes!!

Let me tell you, IRONMAN is BADASS. It will be a huge hit. Why? It strikes a cord we need as Americans.
To destroy evil at all costs. This is undoubtably work created from us as - people dealing with the stresses of 911, terrorism and the war.
Weird? Yes. But so what, I for one, am going along for the ride!

I can’t wait for this movie to come out it’s going to be as good or better than the X-men. I like Stan Lee he’s the greatest at comic books made into movies.
