Update #2: Watch Five Minutes of Cloverfield Right NOW!Â
Update: One of our reliable studio sources/spies has confirmed that this website is a part of the viral marketing campaign.
We can now confirm that the Slusho.jp site is a part of the Cloverfield viral marketing campaign. I just spent the last half an hour watching and re-watching the Cloverfield trailer when I realized that the guy (Mike Vogul) who appears 52 seconds into the trailer is wearing a Slusho brand t-shirt. Click on the photo above to enlarge or check out the cropped photo to the right. The same guy can be seen on the official 1-18-08.com website pouring a beer into Rob’s mouth. But in that photo his t-shirt is blurred so that you can’t read what it says. The logo too closely matches the logo on the Slusho.jp website, seen below.
The Slusho.jp website was registered a week before the worldwide release of the Cloverfield movie trailer. So unless the website was registered by someone who was on the cast or in the production, this site is 100% part of the viral campaign.
As we’ve previously told you, one of Cloverfield’s on location production titles was Slusho. Hardcore fans of Abrams’ Alias may remember as the Slurpee-type beverage that Vaughn offers to Sydney in the second episode of the series. The website seems to be for the Slurpee-type beverage.

We also found what we think might be another clue. On the refrigerator is two pieces of tape that say “EXIT MYSTERY ST” or something to that effect. This could be nothing. Our
first thought was that the label was a real life sign for the nearest exit. But we found no Mystery St listed in Los Angeles or New York City. So it seems to be a prop. And most of the other props in the apartment seem to be from Ikea or Urban outfitters. While these two small labels/signs seem to be custom made. Anyone have any ideas? Check out the photo captured from the 1080p resolution trailer to the left. We turned the image sideways to it was easier to read.

If you notice in the source of both of these sites (1-18-08 and slusho) a google script is used, “urchinTracker()” this leads me to believe that these two sites are indeed related. However, on the EthanHaasWasRight site, there is no use of this urchinTracker(). Further proving that the Ethan Haas stuff may indeed not be related to Cloverfield.
But I’m curious as to why Paramount pulled those video’s off of youtube. Maybe they’re related to another secret project that they have going on?
We’ll just have to see on August 1st about the Ethan Haas stuff. And for the rest, time will tell…
July 10th, 2007 at 8:37 am
The Ethan Hass is making me more and more curious, i have managed to crack the 1st level of the sphere and you get a grainy video with a guy in military gear talking about a prophecy to do with Ethan Hass. Moves on to another puzzle, all very odd!
July 10th, 2007 at 8:59 am
Um, “urchinTracker” is a VERY common piece of code found on tons of websites. It’s just the analytics code for Google site stats tracking.

The Slusho site provides some potential clues to the origins of the monster in the film because in the History section, there is reference to the magical ingredient in Slusho that turned a fish into a whale. Perhaps its that ingredient that creates the monster that takes off the Statue of Liberty’s head…
July 10th, 2007 at 9:09 am
This is what I have found so far in the trailer… when everyone is running into the building from the roof, there is an explosion, and on the wall to rob’s right is spraypainted “1987-2004 ace.” I googled this and it took me to some wierd rememberance sight for Robert Neville. might be related, might not. Check it, yo!
July 10th, 2007 at 10:01 am
Urchin tracker is just an analytics system… we use it on the site I work on.
The Mystery Street sign probably references Mystery Street in New Orleans… probably some Urban Outfitters thing. Also the name of a 1950 film noir movie that takes place in Boston.
July 10th, 2007 at 10:17 am
Mystery Street is a movie in the film noir genre (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_Street). Maybe Abrams is a fan of the director or the genre?
July 10th, 2007 at 11:02 am
I’m aware that urchin tracker is just an analytics system, but my point is that it’s on both of the confirmed Cloverfiled sites, and not on the Ethan Haas’ site.
July 10th, 2007 at 11:46 am
Going off of the analytics is a moot point. It’s a very general and accessible script for anyone. Besides, we already know that the Ethan Haas websites had nothing to do with this at all.
July 10th, 2007 at 1:10 pm
yawwwwwn…
am i the only one who’s ALREADY lost interest in all of this so-called viral marketing? i just don’t have the damn time to peruse all these websites and look for clues and talk about them endlessly on the net…
how ’bout just telling me the name of the movie and release date?
or if i just send j.j. abrams a $10 check right now and save all of me the trouble?

CHECK OUT THE PARODY FOR THE TRAILE….hahaha
found it on youtube

July 10th, 2007 at 5:50 pm
When you’re on the history section of the Slusho site, there’s this horse swimming by - when you mouse over it, a thought bubble with a blue oven mitt pops up. I googled “blue oven mitt” and the company that makes one is called Orka. Orka…Orca…killer whale??
I also just search for “Orka” and turns out that it was a Marvel villan that was 24 feet tall and can summon killer whales. WTF? Probably nothing, but who knows? The history does mention whales in it…
July 10th, 2007 at 8:44 pm
Has anyone noticed that “Rob” in the trailer is leaving for Japan and Slusho is
clearly based in Japan….grasping at strws here Iknow. But i’m at work and this
is much more fun.
July 10th, 2007 at 9:30 pm
Hi…going through the trailer carefully. Stop the trailer as Rob comes around the corner…when they are talking about him being “his main dude.” Pause the trailer. Focus on the fridge over his left shoulder (on the right as you are looking at him). Do you see the small white object on the fridge? Another demon?
July 10th, 2007 at 9:34 pm
Ok, and then as Rob approaches the makeshit bar after the “main dudge” segment. See the three people to his left. They look CREEPY! Then again, most of them do. :)
July 10th, 2007 at 9:43 pm
and here’s another one…right before the guys “main dude statement ends. Pause it. There is a picture of a person/man in a mirror. Not a photograph, not a piece of art.
July 10th, 2007 at 9:58 pm
In the Slusho website, it mentions Honshu, which was the originating coastline that Godzilla came from in the 1985 and 2000 adaptations. It’s a possibility.
July 11th, 2007 at 12:49 am
CRC… you are seeing things you want to see. “Another” demon?? What… there was a first? Did you see one in the hair of the picture of those two girls on the 1-18-08 website? It’s not a demon, it’s hair. As I’ve said in a comment on another news item on /film - I bet you’re one of those people who believe there was the face of a demon/the devil in the smoke cloud coming from the burning WTC in the attacks of 9/11.

Another bit of info: registrant of the domain name “slusho.jp” seems to be “Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum & Morris”, a big Hollywood lawyer firm. In any case, Kudos to JJ Abrams & Co. for creating the best Viral Marketing campaign since
“The Blair Witch Project”.

At 1:02 a skateboard can be see in the background. “AKM” is displayed. A google search didn’t make any connections to AKM being a brand name. Perhaps a pro skater’s intials? or another clue? Any help?
July 11th, 2007 at 5:01 am
ummmmmmm……hey guys. he purposely made slusho a japanese site. do not think the japanese lettering has hidden messages. ive checked, ive hoped, nothing.but for the ppl, picture, and refrigirator thing, could u please gimme times!?!?!?
July 11th, 2007 at 5:11 am
guys sorry for double-posting but something bout the trailer that out. CRC, I looked all around the fridge and there is nothing that looks like a demon, just two photos that that look like the voltron movie site. which has a 20 on it(WTF!?!?!?!?). Anyway, the pplto the left of him look normal like ur average rob friends who i have given them names(bob bill and ted sorry for pointless stuff) and i did not see any person pic mirror thing. Also, Champ, i did not se any skateboard at 1:02 point. just buildings. Sorry for putting u two down for hope of getting clues.
July 11th, 2007 at 5:36 am
At 1:01 the news broadcast can be seen. Which reveals the temperature to be 63 degrees. 63 Degrees between 12:01 and 12:36 am on January 18th in New York City? Hardly seems right…
NEW YORK CNTRL PK TWR (305801)
Monthly Totals/Averages
Maximum Temperature (degrees F)
Years: 1971-2000

Average 38.7 41.6 50.5 61.5 71.8 79.9 85.3 83.6 75.9 64.7
Any insight?
July 11th, 2007 at 5:43 am
Guys, we must work together, become one. I have thoughts and so do you guys. If you havent already made an AIM adress, make one and contact animefan39 stating Slusho, Cloverfield, or 1-18-08. Then i know i know ur from here, maybe we can find out and know what the ******* **** this monster is!!!!!!!

Regarding the Mystery Street sticker: Its actually a sticker of this sign: http://flickr.com/photos/jonnodotcom/148016918/, from New Orleans Fairgrounds
July 11th, 2007 at 8:33 am
This is not really a comment, just a pointer for the moderators: In the url in my previous comment, obviously the comma doesnt belong to the adress. Plz remove it?
July 11th, 2007 at 8:54 am
Guys and gals, if you look at the top of the fridge, there is something that is on top of the fridge. Sort of like one of those bookend gargoyles that perch off of a shelf.
And yes, we see what we want to see, or we all interpret things differently, so to XdarXideX, I feel sorry for you. To go through life without any imagination or creativity must REALLY suck.
And that’s the type of response you should expect when you S**T on someone in an open forum, so please NO WHINING ABOUT IT.

July 11th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
good website LK
I think the number 6 is definitely significant because of the slusho website. Why would it say just 6 if it wasnt. What is the beast in Revelations suppose to look like?
July 11th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
wow. i think LK nailed it
July 11th, 2007 at 12:51 pm
Both pics on 1-18-08.com are rotating clockwise at different rates. I’m leaving the site open while I work to see if it does anything else.
My only problem with the Wiki Zeno page is this: “This page was last modified 09:45, 2007 July 11.”
LK’s comment is posted 65 minutes after the modification.
July 11th, 2007 at 1:02 pm
Also, I cross referenced “Anastasius Balkin Zeno” with the wiki pages of those mentioned in the entry (Byzantine, Ariadne, Eastern Roman Emperor, Flavius Zeno, Apokalypsis, and Flavius Anastasius) and there is no mention of Anastasius Balkin Zeno. The timestamps on the other pages aren’t as suspicious.
July 11th, 2007 at 1:02 pm
Awesome find LK! Does hell “open” during the end of days? That would explain the temperature increasing. You would think the news broadcast would mention the heat change, perhaps that’s giving too much away though. Some people seem to be taking this a little too seriously (here and in other forums) we can spend all day speculating and reseraching and it should all be done in good fun. if we are wrong who cares its a movie, a form of entertainment. If you feel like we’re “wasting time” then you are def taking things too seriously…
July 11th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
LK is full of shit.
first of all, the person made that article today. second, his name is ‘crimsonfield’
hm. crimsonfield and cloverfield. how convienient. brings to mind a song called ‘crimson and clover’ by simon & garfunkel. or are they a part of this as well?

I just looked for what the beast in revelations looks like and it only has 4 heads, but they have names: Bush, Cheney, Rice & Rumsfeld.
HA!
And if you are a supporter of these guys, chill out, it’s just a joke.
July 11th, 2007 at 4:52 pm
heeey on that wikipedia site posted by angela, it gives you gives you the link to a related page called bloop. Bloop was a sound found in the ocean near where cthulhu city is suppose to be.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloop
a link to the recording in on Wiki. I dont know if it really sounds like the noise the monster in the trailer makes..maybe the first noise….just putting it out there.
July 11th, 2007 at 5:50 pm
WOW I feel like an idiot! thanks claire!
July 11th, 2007 at 6:50 pm
umm awhile ago when the trailer just came out i searched cloverfield on wikipedia and all it had back then was the date and year wen i opened the date Jan 18 i looked for the year 2008 and it said ‘there could have been more time’ i thought this was weird so i went to the date jan 18 and i looked for 2008 and it said ‘it will begin 28 minutes after midnight’ the day after i tried to do the same thing but it was taken down by wikipedia because i guess they thought it was spam but then i remembered that the date jan 18 had a footnote i cliked on it and it took me to a character from H.P. Lovecrafts storys and the character was from the Call Of Chtulu so i guess its most likely going to be about the Chutlu… the links that i clicked were taken down because they thought it was spam so dont try it again but its true it really happened
July 11th, 2007 at 9:42 pm
Well, here goes for my whacked out findings on Slusho.jp:
Hear me out…I think it’s Cthulhu.
Visit Slusho.com and click the 4th link from the left, takes you to the feedback email address Satoshi@slusho.jp. So, a quick search on this Satoshi person reveals this Wiki info:
Satoshi Tajiri is a Japanese electronic game designer and the creator of Pocket Monsters, better known as Pokémon.
The creator of Pokemon! Tell me this is not happening. :)
Ok, you probably think I’m crazy now, but I’m reading more about the Pokemon creator, and guess what, he worked at Nintendo, on Pokemon, for 6 years. 6!
“Slusho! You can’t drink just SIX.â€
Now, read the history page on slusho.com. There’s reference to “many towns and villages on Honshuâ€. Well, you guessed it, Satoshi was born in Machida which is located on Honshu!
Apparently there’s a Digimon (not so much different than Pokemon) character whose design is based on Cthulhu and named after Dagon. The character’s English name is “Dragomon.â€
Most Digimon of all levels reside in the Digital World (sometimes called “DigiWorld†for short), a parallel universe created from data inside the Earth’s electronic communication networks. However, Digimon are sometimes capable of traveling to Earth - or as it is called in DigiWorld, the Real World. Courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ultimate_Digimon_(Part_1)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ultimate_Digimon_(Part_1)#Dragomon - this is the pokemon character designed after Cthulhu, his type is Sea Animal and his level is ultimate (perfect).
I read on another blog that the monster was a sea monster?
Oh, one more Pokemon coincidence, the kids on slusho.com (boy & girl = the two Pokemon kids) are under water. The Pokemon monster Dragomon is a sea animal.
Dragomon is a Sea Animal Digimon. His Japanese name is Dagomon as he was named after Dagon of Lovecraft literature known as the Cthulhu Mythos, and appearance is based on Cthulhu of the mythos.
Dragomon is a “Wicked God†referred to as “The Sinful Priest of the Ocean Floorâ€. He is thought to be born from a computer virus that infected the computers of ships and such, disrupting direction and course. When he takes a life, he holds the juzu (prayer beads) on his neck and seemingly mourns.
All these Japanese links, not to mention that Rob (in the trailer) is going to Japan, and his apartment motif is heavily Japanese.
It’s stretch, but lots of coincidences here. If this is not the case, I challenge someone to find that many clues from Slusho.com. :)
July 11th, 2007 at 10:54 pm
ok on the slusho site the number six is emphazised….if you look at every sixth sentence(there are three) of the history you can flag the following phrases: “but tragedy struck”, “he is very big”, “unlike anything on earth”. and i was thinking the last one may point to an alien creature of sorts maybe

i googled the 1987-2004 ace that someone pointed out and it is a creepy memorial website but in the light a candle page there is a candle from j.j. saying cloverfield… thought that was interesting also a lot of other weird stuff as well… also cracked the sphere first level as well the grainy video talks about august first and needing to get alot of people.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:25 am
CRC - Not that you deserve a response but I have plenty of imagination and as it happens I’m an artist… so creativity is also no problem for me. I just don’t fool myself with WILD SPECULATION based on no evidence whatsoever. It’s a problem yourself and many people like you have. One that holds you back and I feel sorry for YOU. Hell, the comment you made regarding a demon’s face… that doesn’t even require any imagination or creativity at all! I can see this “face” but I know it’s purely accidental and just a trick of the eye. We’re used to identifying faces so it’s only natural that you see one.
July 12th, 2007 at 9:41 am
Hi guys!
Just a quick thought. I looked at that memorial page and read quickly through the slusho page and noticed that both are about addictions - the person in the mememorial page died from huffing and slusho is made from an addicting substance found at the bottom of the sea and which makes you NEED to drink and drink and drink…
Just thought it was interesting.
July 12th, 2007 at 10:47 am
the sticker actually says exit TO mystery St…. a Jazz festival in 2007 in new oreleans. still could be somthing though
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.bloggingneworleans.com/media/2007/05/jazz-fest-exit-day-6.jpg
theres a picture of a sign for it…. looks fimilar huh.
July 12th, 2007 at 11:42 am
I work for a translations company and had one of my japanese QM’s look at the text. It says from left to right “Product Description”, “Menu (flavors)”, “Downloads”, “Customer Feedback”, “Shop”, and “Distribution Opportunities”. The reason the 6 is in roman lettering is because that’s how the japanese display the number six. Hate to burst your bubble on the “The 6 MSUT be important cause it’s not in Japanese!!!!” theory.
July 12th, 2007 at 12:43 pm
The memorial page is most likely NOT part of the Cloverfield stuff.
Here’s a link to a google news search where the results show an article from the Philadelphia Inquirer dated September 9, 2004 for Robert Devine’s death.

Hey XdarXideX:
So you are an artist? WOW! HOLY CRAP GUYS IT’S A REAL ARTIST!
I’m a graphic artist does that somehow make me better or worse than you?
Dude, this is supposed to be fun. What the frak is wrong with “wild speculation”? Didn’t you ever look up at the clouds and try to imagine or see something within them? Probably not, I’m guessing.
Just because I “choose” to see something, does that make it wrong? Maybe Abrams is trying something by “hiding it in plain sight”? How the frak are we supposed to know?
And, for the record, I believe in UFO’s, life on other planets, Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster. So rag on me about that too.
Get over yourself you pompous gasbag. This is supposed to be fun. Go suck the wind out of another site.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:40 pm
Sorry Cthulhu is already a movie. I think otherwise
July 12th, 2007 at 3:44 pm
Everyone… go to http://www.ethanhaas.org.
That “e-mail” from JJ Abrams, was either a ploy or a fake. Ethan Hass has everything to do with “Cloverfield” because on this website, the “Slusho” and the “1-18-08″ sites are linked (among many others).
July 12th, 2007 at 3:44 pm
Hey there is another picture at 1-18-08.com. There are 4 people and everything is pretty grey.
July 12th, 2007 at 3:45 pm
Jezcab, I don’t know if you’ve been to the movies lately or if you live under a rock, but it’s not uncommon to make more than one movie about something, even if you don’t count sequels. I mean, how many movies have been made about Dracula?
July 12th, 2007 at 3:50 pm
Mike, people are free to link whatever they want on their website. I don’t find the links (HANSO? can that link be any more obvious?) have anything to do with confirming authenticity. In fact I think it proves the opposite. With the whole Lost internet thing, they didn’t just give away answers. There’s still 6 months to go before the movie is released. More than enough time for the studio to drag this out without giving away the answers right off the bat.
July 12th, 2007 at 4:23 pm
definitely looks like we have an alien movie now… the guys running down the street are clearly army like forces running to combat. The girls are covering their mouths which means it’s probably airborne? maybe WOTW 2? remember all the blood in the air?
July 12th, 2007 at 4:27 pm
Uhh, they could be looking up at a giant monster, too. THis is not going to be an alien movie. Why would aliens make a loud roaring sound? Hmm?
July 12th, 2007 at 5:56 pm
I know what it is.
find me online. and we’ll talk about it.
July 12th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
If you read the history page, I think it is pretty interesting that they use the words libations in reference to Noriko
July 12th, 2007 at 6:57 pm
I don’t buy completely into any one theory yet (Cthulhu, Revelation/End of World/Godzilla), but I noticed what might be another clue towards the Godzilla theory.
Some people may have heard that Godzilla is actually an Americanized version of the original Japanese name, which is apparently pronounced “Gojira”. What you might *not* know is that “gojira” is a combination of two other words, “gorila” meaning “gorilla”, and “kujira” meaning “whale”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla#Name
I find the latter significant when you consider how many times the themes of the ocean, whales, and being big are repeated in the history section of the Slusho site:
“His accomplishments are many, he is very big.”
“…a whale came and told him to drink the new ingredient…Ganu grew from a small fish into an enormous whale!”
“Everyone who drinks a SLUSHO!…becomes a small whale like Noriko…”
But then, I have no idea how gorillas might fit into that theory…
Anyway, could be nothing, but it’s fun to speculate. :)
July 12th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
Did anyone notice this in the trailer?
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/4111/flyingbombql1.jpg
July 12th, 2007 at 7:28 pm
The AKM you see in the trailer is on a fraternity paddle next to a skateboard.
The AKM is the fraternity’s name…the greek letters Alpha Kappa Mu. Oh yah, the
every 6th sentence thing for the history section of the Slusho! site is a wicked stretch
…gimme a break. But…has anyone figured out why the horse and one of the fish
are dreaming about an oven mitt and a wedge of cheese, respectively. Also,
Noriko Yoshida is a writer of asian films/tv shows but that seems to have no bearing on the Slusho! site.
July 12th, 2007 at 7:53 pm
If you watch the trailer, at 1:30 I’m almost positive between the two builds as the head of the statue of liberty is being thrown you can see a head moving around. It sort of like dinosaur-like. Although I doubt it’s a dinosaur

im pretty sure that the buildings seen in the trailer between the camera man and the building hit with the statue of liberty(401 broadway) are not there in real life and were digitally added?
July 12th, 2007 at 9:16 pm
hey i think that eleven might be something important… because the dude in the trailer says you owe me eleven bucks… just a stretch… if anyone wants to try anything with eleven
July 12th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
More random jibber-jabber; when they’re on the roof and the fireball makes impact right when the camera man makes it to the door, some graffiti is illuminated on the wall: “Zoom” and “Ace”. I only noticed it because they mention
“ZOOM” quite frequently on the Slusho site…
It probably means absolutely nothing, but I really do love this insane speculation stuff. It makes life ever so interesting.
July 13th, 2007 at 2:21 am
Hey everybody… if you notice right when Rob walks in the door for his surprise party… PAUSE THE TRAILER and look right above him on the shelf. You can see a clock. It’s slightly blurry but you can see that the party starts between 11:10 and 11:15. That’s obnw thing i’ve noticed.
July 13th, 2007 at 9:29 am
sorry darius and everyone else who thinks there is something there to me it looks just like smoke and lense flair… mostlikely the same smoke seen in the new picture on 1-18-08.com

meliisa, i’m pretty sure that’s the statue of liberty’s head.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:43 am
It is, incontrovertably, the SOL’s head.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:04 am
hi guys…I’ve tried posting
S L U S H O Z O O M
.
C O M
earlier today, but it says that my posting is “awaiting moderation.”
What the hell does that mean?
I don’t see that attributed to any other posts.
July 13th, 2007 at 11:42 am
Ah..so it is.
Sorry, my laptop is how you say…”shitty”.
Although it did get me to thinking, what if all the mentions of “zoom” on the Slusho site is a prompt to zoom in on the images themselves to look for hidden things?
July 13th, 2007 at 11:55 am
“zoom” backwards is “mooz”!!!!! they’re killer cows!!!!!
seriously, guys, i think everyone’s looking a little too deep into some of the lesser components of this campaign. it’s been a total goose chase from the get-go and it probably won’t change until they just add yet another photo or let us find one of the websites they’ve got up.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:00 pm
CRC - My Artist comment was in response to your insult about me lacking creativity and imagination, jackass. I wasn’t trying to boast about anything. As it happens I have plenty. Can you understand that?
When you just plain make stuff up using your imagination it leads people the wrong way… so in the interest of actually finding these viral websites and figuring out what the hell is going on in this movie I thought I’d at least say something. If you can’t handle a little confrontation or resistance to your little “theories” then so be it, just don’t throw your toys out of your crib.
Enough of this now because you’re boring me with your stupid, immature and overly defensive responses and I’m sure this little dicussion is boring everybody else.
July 13th, 2007 at 1:10 pm
XdarXideX: Then don’t read my posts.
As near as I can tell the only thing you have plenty of is put-downs and hot air. Go beat up some more kids at the school yard and take toys from toddlers.
July 13th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
I think people are reading a bit too much into it, looking for clues that aren’t even there. I don’t think they’re THAT elaborate with clues, maybe there’s a few here and there, but not as many as u think. As it may be, I found a site that’s pretty interesting. I personally think its Godzilla, I doubt its voltron or cthulu. And if its none of those, im looking forward to it. It sounds original, “ THE PARASITEâ€. I wonder what that’s supposed to mean. do u really think that’s the real name of the monster, or is it some sort of code for it, just like the title “clover field.†I noticed something. On the website, look at the times of the pictures. The pictures seem to be parts of the movie where the tragedy happened, “except for the party picture†yet, they’re all only a few minutes apart.. (party picture- 12:31, 2 wide eyed girls, 12:36, people in white smoke, 12:46) so how did all of this tragedy happen in such a short time? It seems like the end of the world happened in less then 10 minutes! that’s not even possible! I think its Godzilla, it had a Godzilla feel when the people were running down the street and one guy pointing and screaming the obvious “ ITS ALIVE AND ITS HUGE!†just like the Japanese Godzilla movies where one Japanese guy would stand in the middle of the street and point and scream “ GODZILLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!†anyway, the only way to find out is to wait January 18, 2008. This is the site that might shed some light. Its not the slusho site, its something else with the same title, but is connected with clover field.

I’m usually really bad at this stuff, but on the slusho website around the phrase you cant drink just six, there are a bunch of cups in a row, some are filled up and some aren’t. Theres 17 cups, 4 of them are full, and all the cups are in a row, but some cups are infront of others, some are a little bit back, but i’m really bad at this, so i’m going to let everyone else give out their shots in the dark about this.
July 13th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
Godzilla is already being made. It should be fully 3-D. I highly doubt it’s the
Zilla.
July 14th, 2007 at 12:06 am
CRC you just proved yourself worthy of my last comment. An immature and idiotic reponse. Well done kid.
July 14th, 2007 at 1:55 am
I started looking at more of the background, since someone discovered the
flock of birds.
On the history page there is seaweed on the bottom (among the horse thinking of the mitten and a fish thinking of swiss cheese) but I started looking for photos of seaweed of a like nature and presto change O I found one that is curious enough to give a glance at.
Caulerpa taxifolia. Dubbed “killer algae,”
Maybe this is the special ingredient to Slusho… Or maybe I just need to get a life.
July 14th, 2007 at 7:19 am
Check the preview again for famous people……. the lead singer of yellowcard, ryan key, is sitting behind the bar on the right side of the screen at :38 seconds into the trailer. maybe someone should try getting a hold of him
July 14th, 2007 at 8:03 am
XdarXidicks: I wasn’t aware you cornered the market on maturity and idiotic responses…if you were as mature as you say you are you would let this go and never responded to this. Of course if you hadn’t told me how I only saw what I wanted to see, etc. I wouldn’t be wasting my time with someone who’s IQ is probably that of a slusho. So grow up, get a job, and leave me and my comments alone. I’m going to go find another block where there aren’t any dicks in it.
OK, XdarXiDICKS!
Fuck off and may the red ants of Rhodeisa infest your hairy crotch.
July 14th, 2007 at 3:38 pm
the ethan haas website isnt related to the movie…im like 99.9% sure that it is related to a videogame called Alpha and Omega
July 14th, 2007 at 4:34 pm
i think we need to do a post about everything that is confirmed so far and everything we know is true and false… there is still too much speculation about a bunch of crap we know is false
July 15th, 2007 at 8:03 am
CRC - Nice reply. Child. What are you, 10 years old? You’re clearly too young to understand the spelling of my username too (xdarxidex = dark-side)
I was doing you a favor pointing out how ridiculous your theories were. Go figure you get childish on me for it.
July 15th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
Not for nothing XdarXidex, but you don’t exactly come across as a model of maturity. Believe me, I’m not saying that CRC does (because he doens’t) but I don’t want you to have any illusions as to how your own posts are perceived in comparison.
From an unbiased, objective viewpoint the two of you appear cut from the same cloth.
July 15th, 2007 at 4:40 pm
And what about this one?

July 16th, 2007 at 10:40 am
alright guys i need some assistance. the exit mystery street sign is exactly the same as the one at the new orleans jazz and heratige festival held at the fair grounds race track. look it up history of the track or festival whatever you can find.
July 17th, 2007 at 12:00 am
So on the slusho thing….it says he had to keep it frozen or whatever to perserve it’s freshness…it’s hot in nyc right now..anything important there?
July 17th, 2007 at 12:47 am
not too much except that maybe the monster came from the poles…
July 17th, 2007 at 10:48 pm
The news report from Action9 News says that SLUSHO website still holds clues that people have not unvieled. The source they were interviewing also said that the phrase “It’s ALIVE! AND IT’S HUGE” is also a big clue.
So keep finding things on the SLUSHO website. The only website that is credible is the Slusho.jp website. NONE OTHERS besides the obvious 1-18-2008 website.
July 17th, 2007 at 10:50 pm
and PS. I HIGHLY advise everyone to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4X7tIKYYsVc
some of his analysis was actually used on the VH1 Best Week Ever Clip.
He has a lot of good info.

wtf what is this shit?
July 18th, 2007 at 12:52 pm
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned but there are some interesting clues at http://www.slushozoom.com (â€slusho zoom†being one of the phrases uttered by the donkey on http://www.slusho.jp). Clues suggest genetic disorder, vaccines, sea creatures, cheese (again), a weapon, and a Japanese movie (about gargantua). There is also hidden text that can be seen when you highlight the suggestive text at the top and drag it down. Finally, there are two different links in the periods at the bottom of the page. I sent an email to the email address here but there is (so far) no autoreply like the slusho site.
P.S. There is also hidden text at the bottom of the link for hot bath.
July 18th, 2007 at 1:55 pm
I thought only slusho.jp was legit…I heard any others were not real.
July 19th, 2007 at 2:00 pm
- advance to slusho shellgame
- right-click & select Flash Zoom In option
- drill down 5 levels
- its in the japanese chars / links in footer
- more can be seen in characters in lower nav when not on HOME
July 20th, 2007 at 10:34 am
WHISKEYPUNCH,what do you mean by “drill down 5 levels”
and in witch chars can you see something in
July 20th, 2007 at 7:59 pm
Hey I don’t know if anyone tried this (for your like me you most likely did) but if you do an anagram of “I saw it, it’s alive, it’s huge.” There is some interesting results. I’m too tired to look at them all but I noticed some words that may be nothing or may be something. Those words just need to sync up. Anyway, the words I see alot are, whale, evil, sewage, gate, league and some others. Check it out. http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=%22I+saw+it%2C+it%27s+alive%2C+it%27s+huge.%22&language=english&t=0&d=&include=&exclude=&n=&m=&source=adv&a=n&l=n&q=n
July 20th, 2007 at 8:45 pm
Ok I was brainstorming with that damn quote and I’m thinking this, the quote is reveiling the real name of the movie! This may just be a shot in the dark but check it out, the guy says, “I saw it, its alive, its huge.” Ok here is my break down. He is saying “I saw it” “It’s Alive” “It’s Huge” Perhaps he is listing titles to movies he has seen aka It, It’s Alive AND the real name of this movie which will be IT’S HUGE. It and It’s Alive are both horror movies that have to deal with creatures and such and with the popularity of the title Snakes On A Plane would it be a shock to name a movie with a simple title like It’s Huge? The only thing though it sounds like a bloody porno so I am afraid to see if its a site or not. But whatever thats my theory.
July 21st, 2007 at 10:26 am
a possible scenario: The secret ingredient is organic…from eggs of some creature from the deep cold blue. Of course its fresh (fresh eggs). From that I am guessing either mom and dad are coming to wreak vengeance and/or subplot…the ingredient can cause mutation after repeated ingestion(you can’t drink just six..have to drink more or else).
Why New York and not Japan…Maybe the eggs are harvested off some sea area near Japan but where is the Slusho manufactured?
And since the main character is going to Japan…is he an employee of Slusho?
July 21st, 2007 at 3:53 pm
Just curious, but why would people be saying, “It’s alive! It’s huge!” unless the creature in question was not alive before? Maybe even inanimate, I don’t know, it just seems strange to me.
Also, the fire. I guess the fire could just be from random explosions of things the creature was destroying, but it seems a bit much, don’t you think?
Not to mention it’s all so sudden. Unless the thing just crash landed, you’d think a huge explosion wouldn’t be the first sign of it.
quasily: I like your theory.
July 22nd, 2007 at 1:46 pm
Hey guys, just thought I’d try to chime in. I’m not very good at all this speculation stuff, but one thing did catch me off guard during the preview that I saw from youtube…at around 1:26/1:27/1:28 somebody (I’m not sure of who is who) screams “Anybody seen Genesis?” That’s what it sounds like to me anywho. Anybody hear or know anything about that?
July 23rd, 2007 at 3:52 pm
Well it looks like i may have been on the right track with the title thing maybe. A photo was leaked of a possible movie poster with the title being “Monsterous”. Dont know if thats the real title or not though.
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:42 pm
If you search for monster movies with the word “mystery” and the year “1981″ you come up with this:
http://www.mania.com/wurmhole/video/1214.html
is this just a coincidence?
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:48 pm
it might be but one thing….jj said it was new and never done before
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:51 pm
monsters in nyc never done before?
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:55 pm
godzilla was in new york though but you could be right in a way…maybe trying to fool us as in maybe the monster has been done before just not the location…yeah i thought the latest godzilla was in new york
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:58 pm
Who said it had to be Godzilla? Perhaps it is the mighty Mothra or someother Godzilla villain
July 23rd, 2007 at 5:58 pm
maybe he meant a monster movie being shot with handheld cameras. I don’t ink anyone has tried that yet. it’s just funny that this old movie has monsters coimg out of the ocean and the main character is traveling abroad. The thing on the fridge has exit to mystery st and the graffitti outside has 1981 - 2004. who knows, the movie did take me by surprise
July 24th, 2007 at 12:36 pm
“urchin tracker” or “urchin.js”
is a program offered by google analytics that allows the people in charge of that web site to keep track of who goes to their webite. i think its like a better counter for a website.
also if u google u will find that there is a way to stop the urchin program from traking u.
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/11/prevent-google-analytics-from-tracking.html
now it says to use Windows and i am on a MAC so i havent been able to do this but i ask that someone out there try it and post here what happens when you go to either of the official 2 websites of SLUSHO.JP or 1-18-08.com
-m
July 24th, 2007 at 9:24 pm
ok definitly go to slushozoom.com and click on the japanese woman. it takes you to a link about a movie from 1966 called Furankenshutain no kaijû: Sanda tai Gair. An experimental lab animal called a gargantua escapes from his captors and is suspected to be the creature that is killing people all over the countryside. But when the gargantua from the lab appears at the same time as the evil gargantua, the two begin to battle across Japan.
if this is what the movie is about I soooooo want credit for cracking this sucker open.
July 25th, 2007 at 12:45 am
On slusho.jp can anyone translate the text under “you can’t drink just six?” I have gotten most except for the parts in kanji. I have looked up so many words. I can’t translate it. Some thing tells me that that translation of the phrase is not the same as “you can’t drink just six”
July 26th, 2007 at 10:03 pm
Well here is another idea. I entered in the url http://www.youcantdrinkjustsix.com as it is the tag line from
the slusho.com website. I got directed to a viral marketing and club promotion company based in Philly whose actual url is http://www.paper-street.com, Then I got stuck not sure if that is part of the game or not.
July 27th, 2007 at 12:10 pm
new pic on the 1-18-08 website today
July 28th, 2007 at 7:57 am
Ok - i’ve been messing with the http://www.1-18-08.com/ website.
Its a bunch of photos of the people in the trailer. Turns out you can move them around and even flip them over.
There are notes on the back of the two of them.

July 28th, 2007 at 7:04 pm
heh, this is kinda fun.^^ Oh, I recently saw something on Jamie Lascano’s
myspace, It says she graduated college in 2004, maybe the party was a post-grad
bash? bleh, that’s probably irrelavant. But she has a few friends, all from the movie i’m guessing, and all list New York as where they’re currently staying. and while i’m at it, maybe their starsigns are involved. *laughs* Oh well, i’m off to finish solving the puzzles…
July 29th, 2007 at 1:18 am
Slusho.jp has a bunch of new features on it, that’s intense. They mention whales a lot more it seems, in the supposed comments from customers and in the history as noted earlier. I wonder if it’s pointing us towards the ocean. Even when you go to history there’s a seahorse and a jellyfish just floating in water randomly. Water everywhere, and not a drop to spare.
That’s crazy that the cast of characters have myspace accounts, this whole viral marketing thing is absolutely a blast.
July 29th, 2007 at 1:03 pm
Wow the slusho site is really bumping. I want a shirt. And whats up with the flavor robots? kinda odd. I miced them all each at there full capacity but it wasnt anyhting special. But is this telling us that something arrived from space, crashed into the ocean, some company found it and decided to put it in a drink, sold it to people without realizing there were side effects and now giant mutant people who resemble whales are now running around destroying stuff? but again, i want a shirt.
July 29th, 2007 at 1:13 pm
at slushozoom.com a new pic was added that takes you to a poem that is on the statue of liberty called the The New Colossus. and the pic is of a giant man walking through a old city. maybe he is going ancient greek on us or somehting. I keep thinking about the leviathan
July 30th, 2007 at 10:48 am
crc AND XdarXideX… i really don’t think i need to say anything besides that
July 30th, 2007 at 3:43 pm
ok, after looking at the poster, it appears the “monster” climbed up the SOL, got me to thinking, watched the trailer again. monster makes noise, then lights go out. the slusho shirt guy suggests going up to the roof to see? He looks like he knows something. Then explosion? and flying “rockets”? then on the street another “monster” noise followed by what I call a mechanical sound and the SOL head comes flying. slusho site has six robots now? combine? ok this is what i think. the monster comes all the way from japan. the slusho robot battles it near SOL. the robot attacks, monster makes noise (anger or pain) power goes out briefly. up on roof, robot attacks monster near power plant? big explosion during battle. rockets misguided come flying. monster trying to get away, climbs up SOL. robot punches or fires something, misses monster, hits head head goes flying (mechanical sound and monster sound in tr) monster swims away toward city (i.e. poster) battle continues…people film and talk as story comes out with maybe flashbacks - JJ likes flashbacks you know…
July 31st, 2007 at 1:03 am
The Slusho site under history talks alot about the ingredients in Slusho, and how Ganu had a dream that he tried it and couldnt stop eating the stuff the whale gave him. I dont know if it means anything but the movie is also nick named “The Parasite” and the drink is kinda like a parasite because it makes you drink more and more. Just Tossing this out there for all !
July 31st, 2007 at 6:02 am

If the whole side is marked is the completely down following text to be read:

July 31st, 2007 at 7:48 pm
But Why would they film it Coney Isaland. I fI see anything, because I live in Coney Island I’ll keep u posted.
August 1st, 2007 at 9:53 am
Hey ummm has anyone noticed, on the history page… the horse does have the bubble with the oven mit, and the fish has the cheese but ummm….. no one seems to mention the octopus at the top. If you scroll over him his bubble is a Hammer…..
Also, in the Slusho talk page, the octopus says: “Are you one of Us?”
sorta out there… and kinda creepy. Can’t figure out the hammer….
August 1st, 2007 at 12:06 pm
Oh! and in ‘Happy Talk’ on the slusho.jp site the duck says: “Slusho is People!!!!”
August 1st, 2007 at 12:23 pm
“Exit Mystery ST” is found two times on that refrigerator on 00:34.
I’m looking a wee bit into that. I’ll keep you posted mate, on anything that I find.

I think the guy that said it’s Pokemon is right that would be fucking crazy if it turned out to be a live action Pokemon or Digimon Movie
August 2nd, 2007 at 11:13 pm
Well, Got back from the San Diego Comic Con where Paramount was handing out Slusho shirts saying its part of the new JJ Abrams secret project. I got an asphalt one just like from the website store….My Friend got a black one. They handed them out very randomly and very quickly, like for 2 minutes, then gone. The back has the “You can’t drink just six” tagline
