You cant rule out Voltron..... It is a very good possibility, think about it, bad robot put this trailer in every Transformer screening for a reason.

I just saw the trailer and as someone who was actually there on 9/11 underneath the buildings, this movie has a feel to it that left me with shivers. The way the debris was crashing into the middle of the street was WAY to realistic. Looks amazing.

I would like to think (hope) it's a new Godzilla movie, if it is hopefully it will be better than the first one and look more like the original.

Why would it be Godzilla? If you haven't seen the trailer, whatever "IT" is, comes from the sky in a fire ball. How could that possibly be Godzilla, seriously guys.

That was one of the only trailers that actually made me drop my jaw. I highly doubt this is Godzilla. Probably just a completely new monster who wants to conquer the world. Or it is Lost related cause the noise this monster makes in the trailer.

I believe (at this point) that it IS INDEED GODZILLA.

The NEW monster is Monster Zero (King Ghidorah). Monster Zero comes from space and shoots fire balls.

It was leaked long ago that the next Godzilla move would include a threat of this nature.

One thing though,,, Monster Zero looks like a lion (kind of). It's color is mostly golden and it's hair is similar as well.

I'm going to be so pissed if it's that damn Voltron movie, but i can prove that it's not. firs off the movie is filmed in perspective of hand held cameras. second the people at paramount would give some info to the voltron fans if it was but they have no info about this movie they tell us that they never heard of it. Third no videos of this movie are being shown anywhere youtube had pulled videos that would give out any info about this movie by the order of paramount pictures the only video avalible is people who saw transformers and recorded the trailer on there cell phones. if you want more info on it find me on my myspace page

Its been confirmed that the word "Lion" was not spoken during the preview. The phrase "its alive" is what we really heard... With that said, the Monster Zero direction is not as strong.

But, most people still believe it's GODZILLA (or a LOST movie)...

Have you heard of Bagan from godzilla? It can shoot fireballs in an upward direction just like in the trailer which makes me beleive that this is a godzilla movie

Yes, Bagan is a shape shifting creature with three forms, an ape, dragon, and sea monster. It originated as a colony of Precambrian crustaceans (hmm, parasites). Bagan was considered to be one of Godzillas strongest enemy's.

My vote is still Godzilla. I would NOT believe this if the entire move was shot from the POV of a spectator (with video camera). Truth is, many believe this camera perspective was used for the teaser and though it will be a large part of the movie, will NOT be used start to finish.

Holy crap, I love this! The trailer was incredible; one of those few minutes of movie magic that make you take a deep breath. And the fact that we have three very possible connections - Lost, Godzilla and Voltron - is just exciting. Personally, I would go nuts for a Voltron movie. After Transformers, it feels like I just can't grow up - my childhool keeps coming back! But, don't you think this movie feels a bit too epic for Voltron?
I don't know if Hollywood will waste the effort, and spend such little money, on another Godzilla flick after the 97 movie.
But the idea that it may be a Lost movie is really fascinating. I've only watched the first season, but if it were to accumulate into something like this awe-inspiring, well I'll be finishing season 2.

But I think we're all way off. I do think Hollywood would pull all the strings to make this as top-secret as a military project, but I'm just not so sure that it will live up to the hype of this teaser. Here's to hoping though...

one thing that crossed my mind is that it may be a promotional film set to come out on 01-18-08. What I mean is it could be just a film setting up Hype/Storyline for a Bigger production movie. I know Transformers had the a comic/novel realeased before the movie to bring everyone up to speed on what happened before the movie. This may be a short pre-quel for a film. Just a thought

BIG GUY AND RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT...

I actually heard that his movie is about the events in the bibles "Book of Revelations". I heard it will actually have the creatures described in the events of the Armagedon. Not a religious guy, but I have read the Book of Revelations and the creatues decribed could make this movie amazing.

sooo i watched the trailer frame by frame... couple of nice tid bits that may mean nothing, or may be something.
1. When they're on the roof and a rock explodes, it reveals some writing on the wall next to the doorway, it says "2004 ACE"

2. There is a giant sign right where the SOL head hits before it ricochets off, it says 401 Broadway. So at least you know where it takes place... google 401 Broadway, NY if you want to see a map.

It's not Godzilla because the rights are retired until the year 2013. That would've been awesome though. Here's my theory, if you listen to the ethan haas audio, there's a part where he talks about "...we did this to ourselves..." and so forth bascially putting the events that are happening on the shoulders of mankind. Perhaps a movie about the rapture? If not, Voltron works for me :) or even Parasite Eve.

I too think the trailer is possibly another Godzilla movie. I can't be a Lost movie as Lost has 1 more season left before they make the movie and the final season of Lost will not be finished by the time this monster movie is out. I vote Godzilla! Or even better, the doors of Hell opened and let loose a creature in New York and only the half-devil, half Human demon slayer Dante(Devil May Cry) can save New York!!!

I seriously doubt he said "its alive" why would he need to tell the other people that first? If i saw it i would say something a little more descriptive besides "its alive"... and if i looked like a lion i would say "its a lion".. and if it was godzilla... i would doubt he would say "its alive" cause he would already know what godzilla looks like cause new york was already attacked by him... so say that he says "its a lion" but thats just me..

At the very beginning of trailer i was looking at banners and furniture items while the party was going on. You will for a brief second (so you you may have to play with the trailer. ).see a drawing on white paper with a cartoon face with like tentacles. this face is identical to the cthulu picture on wikepedia when looking up HP lovecraft. Folks, this is pretty sad. Paramount does not own rights to either Godzilla OR Voltron, and also J.J. has gone out and said it is original. Who cares about ONE line in the TRAILER, I personally heard alive, but honestly I doubt it will ever matter. So instead of going in circles saying things that have no base in fact, let's discuss the wierd pic of the SoL's head at the top of the page. It looks wierd, but I'm not sure if it's from the movie.
