Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese will re-team for feature film adaptation of Don Winslow’s The Winter of Frankie Machine. De Niro will play a Mafia hit man who has given up the game to become the proprietor of a bait shop. But he discovers that he’s been targeted for a hit, and is forced to return to the business. According to Nikki Finke, Scorsese will direct the film under his deal with Paramount. This will be the pair’s ninth film together, following Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, New York New York, Raging Bull, The King Of Comedy, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, and Casino. Ocean’s Thirteen screenwriters Brian Koppelman and David Levien wrote the screenplay, which LatinoReview called “a masterpiece.” This is great. Not only do we get another Scorsese-DeNiro team-up, but we also get another Scorsese mob film!

Dinero has been in goodfellas, casino, the godfather……we have seen him in mob roles throughout his career has he let the fans down yet?no.the winter of Frankie is Bobby D at an even older age he may beable to offer even more from this perspective! Besides Dinero plays a retired hit man that’s passed has caught up with him + its directed by Marty Scorsese Dinero has at lest this one last (if his last) type of role as well as movie in him worth a watch 2 me!
